*Dekh Indian Circus: A small budget film which won 4 National Awards*


Dekh Indian Circus, an entertaining metaphor for rural India's struggle to
access the supposed economic miracle of the nation, Starring Nawazzudin
Siddiqui, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Presented by Imtiaz Ali, Directed by
Mangesh Hadawale, Produced by Mahaveer jain, Anil lad and Chirag shah, has
won 4 national awards at the 60th National Awards Ceremony.
After having won Best Film - Audience Choice award at the Busan Film
Festival and best Actor and Actress awards at the New York Indian Film
Festival, Dekh Indian Circus has achieved a national stature by winning 4
national awards for Best Children’s Film, Best Child Actor, Best Actor Jury
& Best Actor Jury – Female.
Imtiaz Ali, the presenter of the film says, “I have never presented a film
before. The reason why I am doing that for Dekh Indian Circus is because
this is exactly the kind of film that I would like to reach to the maximum
amount of people. It is a very calibre entertaining picture with great
cinematic value. I am very happy and proud about the national awards that
this film has won. It is going to be my endeavour to popularise it as much
as I can”.
Mangesh Hadawale, the Director of the film who also won a National

Awardfor hisfirst Film ‘Tingya’, says, “My
philosophy is that truth is beautiful. To capture the beauty of truth, you
don’t need creativity as much as you need honesty and courage. I believe
that Dekh Indian Circus captures some truth in a light-hearted way and it
is this truth that the audiences world-over are connecting to.”
On winning award for the Best Children’s film Mahaveer Jain, the producer
of the film says, “‘Dekh Indian Circus’ won the national award for the best
children film. Though it’s a great honour but the tag belittles the film
