Rajnigandha Shekhawat, a famous
Rajasthani singer has come up with a peppy number ‘Tinder Kudiyan’ that has
already received hits on youtube within few days of its release. The lady was
in the capital to talk about her recently released song which is hitting the
youth. She sang some beautifully written pieces of Rajasthani and classical
music at a press conference held in Delhi.
Breaking her image of singing only
classical, Rajnigandha said “I always wanted to sing a Bhangra song. Bhangra is
accepted everywhere and the moment people hear Punjabi music they jump onto the
dance floors. My song ‘Tinder Kudiyan’
is one such mix of Punjabi song”
“If we look at the generation today,
most of them are busy dating and are using the dating apps. Till now no one has
made a song on ‘Tinder’. So I thought why not this. In fact the girls and boys
in my song have been casted from the app only” She said when asked about the
idea of her song.
She has earlier sang in the Hindi film
‘Margarita with a straw’ and an item number in Anurag Kadhyap’s ‘Monsoon
Shootout’ that is waiting for the release.
