SPOTIFY'S YEAR-END LISTS ANNOUNCED WITH DRAKE, JUSTIN BEIBER AND RIHANNA AT THE TOP




As we enter the final month of the year 2016, Spotify announced its year-end lists of the streaming service most popular acts. Rapper Drake, singing sensation Justin Beiber and Rihanna topped this year’s list as they saw tremendous success over the course of 2016.
Amongst them, Drake’s record smashing hits saw major popularity across U.S. and international charts gaining the top spots for - top artists, most streamed male artists, most streamed tracks with "One Dance (feat. WizKid and Kyla)" and most streamed albums with Views. This is the second year in a row that Drake has received the most streamed artist with more than 4.7 billion streams -- more than double the 1.8 billion last year. Drake is the most streamed artist of all time on Spotify with over 8.7 billion streams. Bieber and Rihanna too rank second and third on both the international top artists list and the most streamed albums list.
The Weeknd as well is placed in the top 5 list of most streamed album of 2016 after a week of its release.
