Showed them the video of their upcoming song Tamma Tamma
Again, a re-created version of the latter’s original hit
As a mark of love and respect, Varun Dhawan and Alia
Bhatt will show the video of their song Tamma Tamma Again (from Badrinath Ki
Dulhania) to Sanjay Dutt, after showing it to Madhuri Dixit-Nene last night.
The connection? Tamma Tamma is a track that was
originally composed by Bappi Lahiri for Thanedaar (1990), a film that featured
Sanju and Mads in starring roles.
Says a source close from the production team, “Both Alia
and Varun were excited about the idea of meeting Sanju and Madhuri. Varun has
grown up watching Sanju on the sets of his dad David Dhawan’s films. Dutt had
done a cameo in Rohit Dhawan’s debut film Desi Boyz, while Mads had done the
item song Makhna in David’s Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Alia, too, has a emotional
connect with Sanju Baba as her father Mahesh Bhatt has been a mentor of sorts
to him.”
Reveals an insider, “They took the song to Madhuri
yesterday nighy and she complimented them on their dancing. Tonight, after the
day’s wrap of Judwaa 2, Varun and his dulhania will go to Dutt’s home in Bandra
to get his blessings.
