Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s new “Despacito" (Remix) featuring Justin Bieber has just made history, becoming “the first Spanish language song to reach #1 on the Spotify Global Chart” and the platform’s “highest charting Spanish record ever.” Crushing multiple records, the Remix has accumulated over 25 million Spotify streams in under a week. In addition, the audio achieved “YouTube’s #1 Music Debut of 2017” with 76.6 million views and counting.

The “Despacito” (Remix) quickly vaulted to the #1 spot on iTunes Overall Top Songs Chart and is currently the #1 streaming Pop Track on Apple Music. Earlier this week, Fonsi shocked the crowd José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in his native Puerto Rico when he welcomed Bieber to the stage for the very first live performance of the collaboration.
Already a phenomenon in its original format, “Despacito” just crossed the 1 billion mark on YouTube/VEVO, joining a select few videos to reach these heights. 
Mixing reggaetón, pop, and hip-hop, this powerhouse anthem stands out as the year’s biggest international smash. Already, “Despacito” earned the distinction of becoming “The First Spanish Language Song To Occupy the Top 10 on the Global Spotify Chart for 10 Consecutive Weeks.” It has cumulatively generated over 500 million global streams. 
A true global movement, “Despacito” remains the #1 “Most-Streamed Spanish Song on Spotify.” Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee holds the distinction of being the “First Latin Artist to Break Into Spotify’s Top 3.”  It also went #1 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 Chart, making it “The Most Viral Song in the World.” Plus, the single unanimously clutches #1 on Spotify across all Spanish-speaking countries.
