EPIC CHANNEL GIVES ITS POPULAR SERIES ‘LOST RECIPES’ A SECOND SEASON



EPIC Channel has announced the second season of its popular food show ‘Lost Recipes’ hosted by celebrity chef Aditya Bal. In the first season, the renowned chef and author travelled extensively around the country in search of recipes and food preparations that have quietly been forgotten over time. Dishes such as Mutanjan- Sweet Chicken Pulao, Houk Sun-Curry or Sun Dried Vegetables, Bevina Hoovina Payasa- Neem Flower Payasam, Painda-E-Khas - special stuffed game birds; and many more were revived from their slumber. 

The 10 episode second season will see him, once again, walk down the forgotten road of culinary traditions that have been lost, forgotten, or simply neglected. Straight from the traditional kitchens that stand like tiny oasis of food memory, this season will explore dishes from Hampi, Vizag, Darjeeling, Bodhgaya, and Maharashtra, among others. Accompanying the cooking, shall come alive tales steeped in history and folklore. 


Commenting on anchoring a second season, host Aditya Bal said “I had an amazing time shooting for Season 1 of the show where so many delicious dishes were revived. As a chef, I’ve always felt that the history and heritage of a dish makes it all the more interesting. Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Rana Daggubati, Parineeti Chopra and Ammy Virk’s Bhuj: The Pride of India



Produced by T-Series and Select Media Holdings LLP, the magnum opus, Bhuj: The Pride of India, is all set to go several notches higher with its new, magnificent ensemble cast! The producers of the film have locked the Independence Day week of 2020 for the film’s release. The film is all set to hit the marquee on August 14, 2020.

With Ajay Devgn already leading this project as the makers bring this crucial real-life incident from the history books to the big screen, the film also has Sanjay Dutt’s commanding presence, Sonakshi Sinha’s alluring strength, Rana Daggubati’s versatility and Parineeti Chopra’s vivacity along with Punjabi superstar Ammy Virk’s power-packed performance, which will makes sure that Bhuj: The Pride of India will be a visual treat for the audience.

A man, a civilian, one who helped the Indian Army, Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari ‘Pagi’ is the character played by Sanjay Dutt. The actor plays a pagi, someone who can identify a person’s nationality, gender, height and weight by their footprints.

Sonakshi Sinha is known to be a fearless actress and this makes her perfect to essay the character of Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, a social worker and farmer and the woman who convinced the other 299 women of Madhapur to help build a runway that had been bombed by the Pakistani army during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.

South superstar Rana Daggubati plays the role of a Madras Regiment Lieutenant Colonel who was posted in Vighakot Chowki and fought in the Indo-Pak 1971 war.

The role of the femme-fatale stunner of Heena Rehman, an Indian spy staying in Lahore, will be played by the beauty with substance Parineeti Chopra.

Ammy Virk, after establishing his stardom in Punjabi cinema, will become a part of the Hindi film industry with the role of a squadron leader and a fighter pilot.

Bhuj: The Pride of India celebrates the courage of the 300 women of Madhapur in Gujarat, who played a pivotal part in India’s victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. It tells the story of how these women got together to repair the only runway in Bhuj that had been destroyed during the war.

Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vajir Singh, Ginny Khanuja, Abhishek Dudhaiya and Kumar Mangat Pathak under the banners of T-Series and Select Media Holdings LLP.

The special screening of the short film Raat Baaki Baat Baaki was held in Mumbai. The film is starring Jackie Shroff in pivotal role along with Shubhangi Latkar, Akshay Nalawade, Bhawsheel Singh Sahni, Semal Bhat and Rohit Lamba as costars. The film is directed by Divyansh Pandit and got nominated at Filmfare awards 2019 under short film category.  The veteran director Raj Kumar Santoshi and the actor Jackie Shroff were the chief guest of the event. The film is a light mood comedy with emotional drama.

The film is produced by Arushi Pandit and Chesta Pandit. Aayush Gaur and Divyansh Pandit have written the film. The music and background score are given by Semal and Nikhil. Gaurav Bhan has sung the song and Shankar Singh has given the sound. Lyrics are given by Semal Bhatt and cinematography is done by Sarfraz Ali Hasan Khan. Shubhankar Jadhav is the editor of the film.

The story of the film revolves around an Old man (Jackie Shroff) and 4 youngsters who are really close friends. A 'young' old man plays the mentor to the 4 youngsters, who stay in the same society, but are facing different problems. Their stories converge for a night when they come across a life changing experience through some alcohol, some secrets and loads of fun.
The shooting of the film is completed in Mumbai and is all set to release on YouTube in Wild Buffaloes entertainment channel on 25th March, 2019.

On this occasion Divyansh Pandit excitedly quoted that “I’m working with Mr. Jackie Shroff for the first time. WHAT A MAN he is”. He further said when Aayush Gaur approached him with the idea of the film, they together worked on the script and presented to Jackie Shroff. Jaggu dada was keen to do this film and had given quite interesting inputs and even improvised some moments. On working with Jackie Shroff he said, he made us feel comfortable and the shooting seemed to be an event. In a 3 days shoot, they all turned out to be friends. He also said “The world will see Jackie sir like never before” On being asked about the nominations in filmfare he said its an amazingly different feeling. “I have grown up watching these award shows on TV and it feels surreal when my own film is under such a prestigious nomination. This is 3rd consecutive time my film is been nominated in filmfare”. On the subject of the film he said, “The film is about relationships where age is no bar, it’s about living life to the fullest even when the time is dark in one’s life” The short film apparently has got fantastic response at Kala Ghoda art festival, 2019. He also said “Watch out for the climax. You won’t be disappointed I promise”. According to him, short films are believed to be of serious genre by a lot of aspiring filmmakers. He says “Short films need not be serious. There’s no set pattern. It’s the filmmaker’s choice however he or she wants to tell a story. People will see Jaggu dada in a completely new role. In Raat Baaki Baat Baaki, the audience will get to experience both laughter and emotions. He further said Jaggu dada had asked to take care of a child instead of paying him anything.

On this occasion, actor Jackie Shroff said that "Short films are unique because you have to tell a story in short time. Divyansh has handled me very well & you’ll can see it in the film”. He further said “Divyansh and his entire team is very talented and hard working. Young filmmakers are doing a great job through these films. I get to learn a lot from the younger generation, ‘Raat Baaki Baat Baaki’ will give today's youth a new perspective to understand life and relationships. Producer Sandip Ssingh turns singer for the film PM Narendra Modi



It doesn't happen very often that the producer wears several hats in one film. PM Narendra Modi is one such unique film where the Producer is the creative director, singer and also the one who came up with the story. It's none other than Mr Sandip Ssingh.

It is a lesser known fact that the rap song named NAMO NAMO is sung by Mr. Ssingh and rap is by Parry G. The song is the tribute to our hero PM Narendra Modi and is his dedication to make a difference and make a better country of 1.3 billion people.

Producer Sandip Ssingh shares, "This film is very close to my heart and I wanted to give it a personal touch. What could have been better than singing a rap song for the person we all admire. It's a very interesting song and I hope people like it."

Bappi Lahiri heralds Holi festivities with Manju Bharti’s birthday


It was a dual celebration for Producer Manju Bharti as she brought in her birthday and Holi at the same time. Besides a colourful cake and sumptuous snacks, the evening was replete with music and Holi colours at Lahiri House in Juhu.

Said Bappi Lahiri, “It was a familial journey for us with Manju Bharti and Mukesh Bharti as after being their composer in Do Pal Pyaar Ke, I am now directing their next film, Ek Adhura Sangeet, that is produced by Manju Bharti and stars Mukesh Bharti opposite a leading Bollywood actress. The film will be a musical. Today’s celebration time and I am happy to be a part of the festivities.”

Added Manju Bharti and Mukesh J Bharti, “It is an honour and a privilege to be with dada. He has always been our pillar of strength and support. It is our honour and there can be no better blessing than to celebrate both, Birthday and Holi at the same time.”

Holi to reveal the true identity of the Daayan



&TV’s Daayan has been consistent in keeping its viewers captivated with its ever-lasting chase to reveal the ‘asli’ Daayan behind all the pretty faces. Welcoming the colourful festival of Holi in a unique manner, the show is all set to intoxicate the viewers with an extra dose of curiosity and suspense this weekend. 

Bringing yet another suspect to the curious question, ‘Aakhir daayan hai kaun?’, Jhanvi Morya’s (Tinaa Dattaa) list of suspects includes one more name that is all set to leave her shocked and devasted for life. Due to several abrupt incidents that occur at the hands of the Daayan, Jhanvi fights to keep her love and marriage intact with her husband, Akarsh (Mohit Malhotra). On the other hand, she struggles to keep her identity and secret safe in front of her look alike, Kundani Roy’s husband, Viraj (Hiten Tejwani). Jhanvi’s plight is all set to see a new turn during Holi when she realises that her own husband is not who she believes him to be. While she rejoices noticing Akarsh getting insecure seeing her in Viraj’s arms, she senses a strange super natural power within him that is all set to change her feelings for him. 

Commenting about this new twist to the plot, Jhanvi a.k.a Tinaa Dattaa said, “Jhanvi’s journey has been a big mystery to viewers and given them several points to ponder on the identity of the Daayan. Asia Lifestyle Week presented by Thomsen showcased a three-day lifestyle extravaganza in Delhi on March 16-17-18, 2019 at DLF Place Saket, New Delhi. Taapsee Pannu continues her game changing performance in 2019

No Fathers in Kashmir trailer launched by Mahesh Bhatt



Everyone thinks they know Kashmir. Two teenagers are about to change all, that is what the trailer introduces us to in its gripping visuals. No Fathers in Kashmir is a that is a unique mix of the fight for truth and compassion while being tender, heart-warming and about universal human emotions directed by Oscar® nominated filmmakers and two-time national award winning writer & director, Ashvin Kumar. Even till today, the certificate is yet to be granted by CBFC and is still pending ‘approval’ despite the FCAT granting the order to pass the UA certificate to the film which is due for release on 5th April.

Present at the launch gracing his presence was one of our sharpest, most outspoken directors, Mr. Mahesh Bhatt who said, “A staggering, heart wrenching film. Ashvin has the guts to embrace all that darkness and then having done that bring us so much ‘light.' In these dark times of hate, here’s a love story from the blood soaked valley of Kashmir which has the audacity to hope”

The film tells the tale of Noor and Majid played by newcomers Zara Webb and Shivam Raina respectively. The two are on a journey to find their respective fathers who have gone missing in the valley. The film raises several imperative questions, about compassion and empathy of those in the valley and its many realities.

Lead star of the film, Soni Razdan said, “I have a personal liking towards Kashmir because I’m a half Kashmiri. When I read this script and Ashvin first sent me the script I found it very interesting because here was a film that showed the reality. There have been many films on Kashmir but this one isn’t peppered by drama, love stories and other things. It’s what truly is representative of how the situation is in the valley. And that’s what drew me to the film”.

The film marks the acting debut of the filmmaker Ashvin Kumar along with other actors Anshuman Jha, Soni Razdan and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Ashvin has also written and produced the film, along with executive Producer Varoon Vesuna.

Actor & Fitness Icon Sahil Khan, Sam Khan & Fitness Director Nick Orton‘s Glamorous fitness event “BODY POWER BEACH BODY” rocks in Goa



The most glamorous fitness event Body Power beach body was held on 16-17th March, 2019 at the synonym for vacation and holiday, Goa. India’s fitness icon Sahil Khan had conducted the event. The event proved to be glamorous and successful.

Sahil Khan and Sam Khan have collaborated with an UK based fitness business, Body Power run by Nick Orton. Sahil is undoubtedly the biggest inspiration globally for young fitness enthusiast. Nick Orton has announced a major new partnership in their Indian event business with superstar fitness icon Sahil Khan and his highly successful Movie producer business partner, Sam Khan. The duo together runs a variety of wellness brands, including the trendy mineral water business, Hunk Water.


Body power beach body is a fitness glam sport where thousands of athletes got a platform to showcase what they have worked on so hard. More than 1500 athletes took part and world aesthetic king Jeff Seid, Said Sergeyevich and UK's muscle and fitness magazine editor Denni Levy were present to attend the event.
It was an event hosted by the best in fitness and modeling combined and was accompanied by top notch judges, attractive prizes, fascinating location, glamorous parties, and lots of learning.

The event got concluded by the winners. Ayan Roy Chowdhury raised the trophy of Muscle Beach, Vikas Usham and Marita Roy as Beach Body in male and female category respectively.


Sahil commented “I’ve been attending Body Power events for years and I always wanted to be a part of it. I am really into Nick’s vision of inspiring a generation by offering amazing experiences. Body power beach body carnival is not only the event but the love for the health and fitness fraternity. Its a pay back to them. I am into the fitness world for about 30years and I have seen the struggles of the people. There is a lot of politics in fitness industry. This is the first time ever we have not taken the money from the athletes, giving them respect  and love  so that they got motivated and hoping to have a bigger show in future. On being asked about the participants he said, we had expected around 200 participants but we got more than 2000 participants, it was huge. It was a great event and the participants had also shown their zeal. I am looking forward for its next season. On being asked why Goa, he said India’s first beach gym is in Goa and I had always thought of something related to fitness at beach. And no other place is better than Goa for such carnival”


After the event Jeff Seid quoted India has emerged as a huge fitness hub and the people are really enthusiast to be fit and fine. It was beyond my expectation. On being asked about his visit he said it was obligation to come to India for his fans. India’s youth is very excited for the fitness and it’s a great collaboration of Sahil Khan, Sam Khan and Nick Orton. Sahil Khan is my close friend and I want to wish all the success to Sahil and Sam.
Said Sergeyevich quoted after the event that it was his second visit to India and he is blown with the hospitality, people and the culture of the country. The event and Goa was absolutely perfect. Body Power beach body carnival proved to be a successful and glamorous event and the participants were also very passionate.

Vidya Balan, Rani Mukherji, Priyanka Chopra. ..who will be Teejan bai?



At a tender age of 20, he used to stand on the chair to get a good view of her performance. That was a scoop on how Nawazuddin Siddiqui was in his youth. Today, he is very excited when his wife Aaliya Siddiqui along with Manju Garhwal, under the banner of YS Entertainment, came up with the idea to make a film on the life of the veteran folk exponent Teejan Bai, that too at a time when she has bagged a plethora of international awards, including The Fukuoka Prize in 2018 and the most coveted Padma Vibhushan, this year.

Hailing from Ganiyari village in Chhattisgarh, Teejan Bai was born to Chunuk Lal Pardhi and his wife Sukhwati in the year 1956. Belonging to the Pardhi Scheduled Tribe of Chhattisgarh, she has also been awarded the Padma Shri in 1988, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1995, an Honorary doctorate in 2003, Padma Bhushan in 2003, M S Subbalaxmi Centenary Award in 2016, among the ones mentioned earlier.

Teejan Bai, married off early as a 12 year old child, was expelled by the community, the Pardhi Tribe. The sole reason was found to be her singing Pandavani, being a woman. Her struggles started then as she built herself a small hut and started living on her own. “She never left her singing, which eventually paid off for her. There are many facets in Teejan Bai’s life that can be written about. I felt that a film based on her life should definitely be made,” says Aaliya Siddiqui.

Being a renowned exponent of Pandavani, a folk art from Chhattisgarh which involves narrations and performances from the Indian epic Mahabharata, Teejan Bai’s persona charmed Aaliya Siddiqui. She felt that the writing should do justice to her biopic. Except for writing the script herself, she wishes someone apt and most-sought after for the celebrated performer. “I would like Teejan Bai’s life to be immortalized lyrically by Gulzar Sahab,” adds Aaliya Siddiqui.

When Alia Siddiqui was asked who will play the character of Teesan Bai?
Aliya Siddiqui says, "We want either Rani Mukherjee or Vidya Balan or Priyanka Chopra to be the one. 

“Teejan Bai is legendary. I have faith in Aaliya that she can make this film relevant to the general audience, and not just film festivals,” avers Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is backing his wife Aaliya Siddiqui and Manju Garhwal.
“Today she continues to enthrall audiences, the world over, with her unique folk singing and her powerful voice. She is passing on her singing to the younger generation,” adds Manju Garhwal.
The film based on the life of the Folk exponent, Teejan Bai will be produced by YS Entertainment, spearheaded by Producers Aaliya Siddiqui and Manju Garhwal.

Director Raj Kumar Gupta to bring the untold story of Ravinder Kaushik, aka The BLACK TIGER, India’s greatest spy on the big screen



Raj Kumar Gupta who is known for his gritty and compelling portrayal of some of the most inspiring real life stories in Hindi cinema like No One Killed Jessica and Raid on the big screen, will now bring the extraordinary story of the greatest Indian spy in the history to the silver screen. 

The ace director is working on a film based on Ravinder Kaushik’s life,who was an actor turned RAW agent also known as The Black Tiger.

The rights to unfold his amazing story on the silver screen for the first time ever has been given by Ravinder Kaushik’s family to Raj Kumar Gupta.

Talking about Kaushik, Raj who is busy with post production of his upcoming film India’s Most Wanted says,  “Shri Ravinder Kaushik was India’s greatest spy. Interestingly, he was an actor before becoming a spy. It’s an emotional and remarkable story. We are at the scripting stage for the film. I am humbled and thankful to his family, who trusted me and gave me the rights to turn this unbelievable story into a film.”

On behalf of his family - Ravinder Kaushik’s sister, Mrs. Shashi Vashisth, who has given the rights to Raj Kumar Gupta says,“ Bachpan se hi Desh bhakti ka Jazba uske dil mei tha. Desh bhakti par hi play likhta aur karta tha , bahut sunder bhi tha aur sab Vinod Khanna bulatey thaiy.  I know my brother’s story is very unique and many people have approached us to make a film on him but it never felt right kyon ki humarey liye yeh Bahut personal hai. When Raj Kumar Gupta approached us, since we knew of his films like No One Killed Jessica we felt confident .He is a sensible film maker and he is the right person to tell my brothers story for the first time.”

‘The Black Tiger’ was the name given to Ravinder Kaushik by the former PM Indira Gandhi for his bravery and valuable contribution towards the country.

Soni Razdan's No Fathers in Kashmir finally set to release on 5th April!

After being banned for 8 long months by the censor board, audiences pan India will get to see one of the most awaited films of 2019. The film made headlines earlier this week when it finally got justice and the UA certificate that it had been fighting for all these months.

Ashvin Kumar the director who has helmed the project has previously been nominated for an Oscar® for his short film, Little Terrorist and has won two National Awards for his eye opening films on Kashmir — Inshallah Football and Inshallah Kashmir. No Fathers in Kashmir is the 3rd in his 'Kashmir trilogy’. Themes of hope, peace and humanity runs through all his films so far with No Fathers being within the same emotions.

Besides being its writer & director, Ashvin also stars as one of lead characters of the film and is joined by stars Soni Razdan, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Anshuman Jha and Maya Sarao and it is all set to release on the 05th of April 2019 across cinemas in India.

The makers now released the first look poster of the film which features the shattered screen of a phone behind which two charismatic blue-eyed, grinning 16 year olds peer out. The story traces a teenage British Kashmiri, Noor, who re-traces her roots in search of her father. There she meets Majid, a local boy smitten by her, takes her to a forbidden area near the Indo-Pak border fraught with danger. They stumble upon a dark secret and things going awry when they’re arrested. Noor is soon released with Majid still captive. Having put him into peril how far will Noor go to have Majid released. And can love ever be the same again for these two?

With a bold tagline “Everybody thinks they know Kashmir”  the makers are clearly hinting at what is expected from the film and its storyline.
