Double excitement, double action and double entertainment in ALTBalaji's Apharan 2 trailer

After leaving the audiences on a cliff-hanger with the astounding global success of Apharan season 1 on ALTBalaji, the streaming platform is back with yet another sizzling, action-packed season of the thriller drama, Apharan 2. ALTBalaji dropped the trailer of the much-loved series on Thursday, 19th May and it promises a livewire season. A mix of quirky humour, big-ticket action sequences and foot-thumping music, Apharan 2 is all set to revive the success of its first season.

 

Mounted on an epic scale, Apharan 2 has Arunoday Singh, aka Rudra Shrivastava, travelling from the ghats of Haridwar to the icy locales of Serbia to accomplish a super-secret mission that will leave the viewers wanting for more. The trailer also features Nidhi Singh as Ranjana Srivastava who plays Rudra's wife battling drug addiction. Also featuring in the trailer is Snehil Dixit Mehra as Gillauri. Again, a mysterious yet entertaining character wins us over with her funny punches! 

 

Saanand Verma as Satyanarayan Dubey Ranjana's ex-lover also provides comic relief as he joins forces with Rudra in Serbia.

 

Besides the gripping narrative, whistle-worthy dialogues, and breath-taking performances, the show has also been hugely appreciated for its music, with a 'retro' feel that ups the excitement level. Featuring popular songs from the 70s, the show's creators have tried to uplift every scene and dialogue graph, making it an exciting watch. If you don't believe us, dialogues such as "Khudko jiss 'Deewar' ka Amitabh Bachchan samajhte aaye hai, aaj pata laga, ki saala hum toh uske Shashi Kapoor bhi nahi hai." and "Aap aadmi bohot ache ho, par gaali kam diya kijiye!" will get you up to speed on the roller-coaster ride.

 

Talking about playing Ranjana, Nidhi Singh said, "My character Ranjana finds herself in a world of trouble this season, and her husband Rudra will move heaven and earth to help her. Be it complex plot twists, exciting characters, or a foot-thumping soundtrack, the makers have outdone themselves this time. The show takes off from the very first episode itself! LSD - Love, Scandal & Doctors talks about five cut-throat medical interns doing everything in their power to ensure they make it in the chosen field, sometimes even pulling each other down. This increases to unbelievable levels when the interns get looped into a murder they may or may not have been a part of. Who was actually behind it? Why did it happen? Was it justified on some level? One can only get the answers to these questions only once they watch the show. In the face of adversity the choices these interns make, the alliances they form, the people they fall in and out of love, make the series even more interesting than it already is.

KMRC hospital is one of the most prestigious medical institutes in Delhi. The whole story takes place inside the four walls of this hospital. The irony in this series is that murder happens inside hospital premises, the exact place lives are saved, the same place where people go to survive.

Rahul Dev plays the chief Dr. Rana's character, an esteemed cardio surgeon; however, he has a sinister air about him, his son worships him. Tanaya Sachdeva plays Sara, the headstrong intern who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Tanaya's character Sara is very raw, very real, borderline crass. Ishaan A Khanna plays Karthik, who is Dr. Rana's son, and Chitra's brother. Vik, Karthik's loyal best friend, is played by Siddharth Menon, in the words of the actor himself, Vik is a multi-layered character. Rahima, the intern whose husband is murdered, is played by Srishti Ganguli Rindani. Tavish the cool cop is played by everyone's beloved dancer-turned-actor Punit J Pathak. Tavish is the only non-medical character in this series but is hugely instrumental in the murder investigation. The show is an out and out youth murder mystery with the suspect needle, moving after each episode, keeping viewers on the edge of their seat.

Kunal Parwani roped in to play Sharman Joshi's best friend in ALTBalaji's ‘Baarish’

ALTBalaji’s upcoming web-series ‘Baarish- When you are in mood for romance !’ is soon going to mesmerize the audience with its unique story-telling and characters ! With its simple yet elegant love story, it has kept the old school love alive. The handsome Kunal Parwani has been roped in to play Sharman Joshi’s best friend ‘Sorab’ in the web-series. When Sharman Joshi playing the character of ANUJ, a gujarati businessman, does not understand the meaning of falling in a relationship with Gauravi played by Asha Negi! To his rescue comes his best friend Sorab which is essayed by Kunal Parwani. He is the solution for all this problems ! 

On playing Sorab, Kunal says, “Digital platforms are growing and it is really easier and quick to shoot. As an actor we start getting many opportunities now. As far as working with ALTBalaji is concerned, Every member of the team is so helpful and considerate. One had a liberty to give layers to the character with the help of the team. This has been by far the best experiences that I have had. I really feel connected to the web series. It has been a wonderful experience working with the whole team especially our director Nandita Ma’am as she helped me get more into my character ‘Sorab’ who is a Parsi fellow. The relationship that Anuj (Sharman) and I share is beyond friendship, more like brotherhood. 

On his equation with Sharman, Kunal says : ‘He is by far the most talented and a supportive actor as well as a friend I have ever worked with.
