First Look of Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha for the recreated track ‘Mungda’ from Total Dhamaal

Sonakshi Sinha recreates Helen’s iconic track ‘Mungda’ for Indra Kumar ‘upcoming film, Total Dhamaal. The actress will be seen shaking a leg for this special number along with Ajay Devgn.

The song has been directed by Kookie Gulati, talking about it, he shares, "Kookie Gulati who directed Mungda shares, “For a particular situation in the film, we needed a young & energetic song to keep with the pace of the film. That’s when the idea of ‘Mungda’ came into place.  When we heard the recreated version by Gourov – Roshin, we wanted someone who could match up the beats of the song! We immediately thought of Sonakshi Sinha – she has a unique & an amazing blend to reach the youth as well as the masses. I’ll tell you Sonakshi Sinha fits this song perfectly. She is a great dancer with a very expressive face. We got Adil Shaikh to do the choreography and he’s killed it! Mohit Rai helped putting her look together, Durga Prasad built the set and was shot by ace DOP Keiko Nakahara. We are keeping the energy of the old track but taking it to the next level in scale and look. It was incredible that Indra Kumar, Ajay Devgn & Ashok Thakeria had faith in me and trusted me with this huge responsibility! I think we had a dream team and the results are there for everyone to see.”

Sonakshi Sinha shares, "It was great reuniting with Ajay sir after Son Of Sardaar on this song and this film. I have really enjoyed the Dhamaal franchise and was thrilled when they asked me to be a part of it! The entire song shoot went off fantastically and was super fun!"

Ajay Devgn to play India’s legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim in a biopic

While India cheers on, engrossed in the football fever as their favourite teams competing at the World Cup, not many would know that India was once called the ‘Brazil of Asia’ for its football team. Not only did the team win accolades by beating some of the top teams in the world, but also went onto win Gold at the 1962 Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia, beating South Korea, one of the toughest teams at that time.

The story of Indian football architect, Syed Abdul Rahim, the coach and manager who was responsible for taking the Indian football team to such great heights, is all set to be turned into a feature film.

Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Joy Sengupta, the untold journey of Indian Football will see Ajay Devgn essay the role of the unsung hero. The yet-untitled film will be directed by Amit Sharma, while the screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadros and Ritesh Shah respectively.

Talking about the film, Boney Kapoor said, “It’s amazing to see football, world's biggest game, having such a fever in India, and yet our team is not being sent to important tournaments. When my partners Akash Chawla and Joy Sengupta brought me the true story of Syed Abdul Rahim, I was amazed that not many are even aware of this unsung hero and the achievements of that great team which had heroes like Chunni Goswami, P.K. Banerjee, Balaram, Franco, Arun Ghosh among others. With the momentum of Khelo India getting pace, it's time to push India."

"An actor like Ajay is most apt for essaying this character. We hope that the film inspires millions of youngsters and soon India plays in the World Cup and becomes a potent force in World Football”, he added while talking about casting Ajay Devgn.

Shariq Patel, CEO, Zee Studios added, “Zee Studios believes in backing good content, and showcasing great characters. We are happy to collaborate with Boney Kapoor once again to tell the story of India's football coach, Syed Abdul Rahim. Ajay Devgn essaying the character makes it even more special."
