Legacy of Lies releases on April 2 in 500 screens

Even as many other films are moving out of the race fearing the onslaught of the coronavirus –Bengaluru based Prime Originals Private Limited which also owns a OTT platform NET5 has entered into film distribution by having their first movie - Legacy of Lies starring Scott Adkins on April 2nd across India in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu apart from English, The Indian versions are called Agent MI 6.

 

“Even though we have our own OTT platform NET5, we want to release some of their action, blockbuster movies first in theatres and stream it later on their platform. We have set up distribution across India and have movies lined up for theatrical distribution with 2 movies every month. Legacy of Lies is releasing across 500 screens,” says Balwanth Singh, the moving spirit behind this novel idea. 

 

Legacy of Lies is about Martin Baxter, an ex-MI6 agent is thrown back into the world of espionage and high stakes when Sasha Stepanenko, a beautiful Ukrainian journalist, seeks his help uncovering the shocking truth about operations conducted by the Russian Secret Service. The film has been written and directed by Adrian Bol and also stars Anna Butkevich and Yuliia Sobol.

Ali Fazal in Agatha Christie’s Death on The Nile

After Victoria and Abdul this is Fazal’s next leading role in a major Hollywood production alongside Gal Gadot aka Wonder Woman

After his major motion picture titular lead in Victoria and Abdul, actor Ali Fazal will now be starring opposite the globally renowned and loved Gal Gadot most famously known as playing the role of Wonder Woman. The duo are set to star in the on screen modern day adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel Death on the Nile and is set be directed by Kenneth Branagh. He has to his credit having directed some immensely popular and successful film including the first film the Thor series, Hamlet, As You Like It , Murder on the orient express amongst many others.

The film is based on the the famous Agatha Christie Novel “Death on the Nile”. It explores the investigation Hercule poirot sets upon due to certain mysterious events that occur on a cruise ship on the nile. A murder. . As the investigation goes on and a handful of suspects come into question, several of the suspects also meet their demise, further deepening the mystery.

The film is part of the series by 20th Century Fox which earlier saw the much successful film, Murder on the Orient Express taking in major monies at the box office worldwide. This film too boasted of a stellar cast including Penelope cruz, Johnny Depp and others. Death on the Nile has previously been made in 1978 starring legends including Bette Davis, Maggie Smith, Mia Farrow and others .

The film goes on floors later this month in london and parts of europe.

Robert Downey Jr. aka Iron Man is the only Avenger to read the entire script of Avengers: Endgame

As we all know, the Russo brothers went to all lengths to keep the script of the upcoming superhero movie, Avengers: Endgame a secret from all the members of team Avengers.

However there was only one person to read the entire script of the film and that is none other than Iron Man aka Robert Downey Jr.

But, in a new interview, the Russo brothers revealed that Tom wasn't the only one who didn't end up reading the entire Endgame script. In fact, all of the Avengers but one were left in the dark!

Talking to Rotten Tomatoes, Joe said: "[Robert Downey, Jr.] was probably the only one to actually read the entire script. I think Benedict [Cumberbatch] got the script that included his scenes only."

After a year long wait, the film is all set to hit the theaters next week and the excitement of the fans is at the peak. Millions of fans are waiting to witness what happened after Thanos snapped his fingers and if the remaining Avengers can bring the ones that vanished back.

Her combat skills and piloting abilities were only enhanced by her superpowers, which included super strength and flight, along with the ability to reach a velocity exceeding the speed of sound. Additionally, Danvers has psychic powers and impressive energy absorption/projection abilities, skills that enhance her strength and durability while allowing her to create powerful energy blasts. 

Brie Larson took training for the role of Captain Marvel very seriously. For five days a week she did two to four hours of training, which was a combination of boxing, kick-boxing, Judo, wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu. The actress also worked her way to lifting over 225 pounds in deadlifts, 400-pound hip thrusts and even pulling a jeep down the road—a tremendous achievement for an actress who had never done much strength training! 

Brie Larson, who plays Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel visited Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas for some once-in-a-lifetime training and experiences in an F-16 fighter jet.

Brie Larson also was able to meet and spend time with Brigadier General Jeannie Marie Leavitt, who became the United States Air Force’s first female fighter pilot in 1993 and was the first woman to command a USAF combat fighter wing.

NICOLAS CAGE ANNOUNCED AS TALENT AMBASSADOR OF THE 3RD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL & AWARDS MACAO

The International Film Festival & Awards Macao (IFFAM) is delighted to announce the appointment of Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage as Talent Ambassador for the 3rd edition of the festival, which will take place from 8th to 14th December 2018 in Macao.

Cage, internationally renowned American actor, director and producer, joins Hong Kong based star Aaron Kwok as an IFFAM Talent Ambassador, reflecting the festival’s ambition to bring together local and international industry professionals, to highlight Macao’s East-meets-West culture and to introduce local audiences to the best in international cinema.

Mike Goodridge, Artistic Director of the IFFAM, comments: “Nicolas Cage is a brilliant, iconic actor and a star for the ages. We are proud and delighted to welcome him to Macao this year as our talent ambassador, and to show his extraordinary new film Mandy.”

Cage will be present at the IFFAM Opening Ceremony which takes place on 8 December. Additionally Cage will participate in a Master Class on 9th December, with further details to be announced.

Cage’s latest film Mandy, a supernatural thriller directed by Panos Cosmatos, will be presented at the festival. Mandy features in the IFFAM Flying Daggers section, a non-competitive selection of international genre films. Cage stars alongside a supporting cast led by Andrea Rise borough and Linus Roache. Mandy is set in the primal wilderness of the Pacific Northwest in 1983. Outsiders Red Miller and Mandy Bloom lead a loving and peaceful existence. Nicolas Cage is an actor, director, and producer whose remarkable versatility has led to great success across all genres for over three decades. In 2017, he starred in Brian Taylor’s critically acclaimed black comedy, Mom and Dad, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival and screened at IFFAM last year.

MGTO signs a memorandum of cooperation with China Film Producers’ Association

To enhance mutual cooperation for IFFAM, China Film Producers’ Association (the “Association”) and Macao Government Tourism Office signed a memorandum of cooperation. The agreement was signed by Chairman of the China Film Producers’ Association, Ming Zhenjiang, and MGTO Director Senna Fernandes on behalf of their entities, unveiling a collaborative program effective for three years. With the memorandum signed, the Association has become a supporting entity of IFFAM and will recommend influential Mainland film celebrities to join the Film Festival. In addition, both parties will give mutual recommendation of remarkable films and make collaborative endeavors to promote exchange and cooperation with international filmmakers and nurture the next generation of film talent.

China International Culture Communication Center recognizes IFFAM’s contributions

In order to equip IFFAM with quality resources and platforms for cultural dissemination, help propagate traditional Chinese culture across the world and enhance Macao’s tourism development through culture as an enhancer, MGTO signed another memorandum of cooperation with the China International Culture Communication Center (“CICCC” or the “Center”) in early March, followed by continuous mutual communication and the Center’s support to promote IFFAM among the Mainland film industry and recommend Mainland films and outstanding film talent for this edition of IFFAM. In this visit to Beijing, MGTO Director Senna Fernandes and her team met with the Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group and Executive Chairman of the China International Culture Communication Center, Long Yuxiang, to share the latest preparations for IFFAM. Both sides engaged in a profound dialogue on the tasks that lie ahead. During the meeting, CICCC Executive Chairman Long Yuxiang expressed his recognition for the role of IFFAM as a cultural exchange platform between the East and West, and indicated the continuous support of the Center to the work of the IFFAM Organizing Committee.

As the President of the IFFAM Organizing Committee, MGTO Director Senna Fernandes believes in the vast potential of IFFAM to grow and reach new milestones in its third edition to come. She looks forward to infusing the Film Festival with new elements through partnership with prominent filmmakers from different countries and regions, while getting inspired from their experience to make IFFAM an extraordinary event. When asked about how it was working opposite a stuffed bear, Ewan said, "In this film we had to do takes with the hero teddy bears (they call them stuffies)…now I don't know if that was an Americanism or a filmism, but they were basically teddy bears. So when I did the first takes, I did those with Pooh, and what Marc Forster did brilliantly was cast players for Pooh, Tigger, Kanga and Eeyore, actors who stood in for each of them. The film wouldn’t be nearly as affective, and the acting wouldn’t feel as real and as good if it wasn’t for those actors playing the characters."

One of the most beautiful and acclaimed actresses, Michelle Pfeiffer (And who can forget Catwoman) is back to the superhero business, playing Hank Pym’s wife and the original Wasp, Janet VanDyne, who shrank down too far to stop a missile on a mission and got stranded in the Quantum Realm. After the success of Avengers Infinity War, Marvel Studios is gearing up for the much awaited superhero sequel and build up to Avengers 4- Antman And The Wasp!

Along with Paul Rudd as Antman, this time we will also see actress Evangeline Lilly kick some serious ass and suit up as the Wasp, in the film releasing on 13th July!

Also whats exciting, renowned actress Michelle Pfeiffer will also be seen in a super secret role, much to the excitement of Evangeline Lilly!

When asked on her reaction on finding out about Michelle Pfeiffer, she said, "When we first started doing the first “Ant-Man” film, they referenced Janet van Dyne a lot. I told Marvel four years ago if they ever bring a Janet van Dyne into one of these films, please make it Michelle Pfeiffer. I really wanted Michelle Pfeiffer to play my character’s mom. Not only is she the most beautiful woman to have ever walked planet Earth and a great actor, she was also Cat Woman, and that was the only superhero that when I was in my teens I would lay awake at night and fantasize about. She was so cool.  When the film was getting going, they broke the news to me that Michelle was in fact going to play Hope’s mother. It had nothing to do with my request I’m sure, but they realized one of my dreams by casting her."

Stars Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are the first Marvel Super Heroes to travel to Taiwan for a special Marvel Studios’ ANT-MAN AND THE WASP fan event. The National Theater and Concert Hall hosted as the backdrop for this first-ever event, where Rudd and Lilly enthusiastically greeted excited fans.

Marvel Studios' Antman And The Wasp stars kick off promotions in Taiwan

The stars of the  upcoming much awaited superhero Antman And the Wasp, have kicked off promotions in Taiwan, with a press conference on the first day!

Actors Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and director Peyton Reed are in Taiwan currently to promote the film, that is poised to be the buildup to Avengers 4

Rudd waved to members of the press and fans on his arrival at Taoyuan International Airport and told them this was his first visit to Taiwan.
