Sonali Bendre Behl collaborates with son Ranveer Behl for a live book discussion



A best-selling author and voracious reader, actress Sonali Bendre Behl has always used social media to reconnect to her passion for books and encourage the habit of reading in her followers.

Sonali’s Book Club, started by her on Facebook, has developed into a stronger community with over 13,000 members bringing together aspiring writers, readers and books.

The latest discussion hosted by Sonali's Book Club at the Facebook Office was a very special occasion. Because not only did Sonali resume after a hiatus, but was also joined for the very first time by her son Ranveer Behl for an engaging discussion!

The book 'Half Brother by Kenneth Oppel', recommended by Ranveer was read by the mother-son duo and made for an interesting discussion at the book club!


Sonali Says, "It feels so good to be back! I really missed interacting with members of the book club on the Facebook lives. This one is special as it's the first one for 2019 and it's our first mother-son collaboration on SBC. So glad to have Ranveer do the discussion with me, he was the one who picked this book and reading it with him has truly been a lot of fun."

Sonali Bendre Behl attends Facebook Entertainment Summit


Sonali Bendre Behl’s book club went from strength to strength to become one of the prime platforms that caters to the needs of curious readers and aspiring writers.

Following the success of her online club, the actress-turned-author has recently attended the second edition of Facebook India Entertainment Summit at a plush suburban hotel. The gorgeous author was part of the session, “Meet the Partners” where she extensively spoke about Facebook groups since she runs her own book club as a Facebook group.

This year’s summit was focused on how Facebook drives value for their movie partners and also unveiled some exciting product updates for the ones who attended the summit. The exclusive summit also aimed at bringing the entertainment fraternity under one roof to discuss trends, best practices and various tools to drive value to the business.

Sharing the information about the Summit with her fans and followers on her social media account, Sonali had mentioned, “Had a great time at the Facebook and Instagram Entertainment Summit, where I was invited to speak about the use of Facebook groups! And it's all thanks to all of you who are a part of #SBC and make it so special.”

Sonali Bendre to involve children in her book Club

Sonali Bendre who turned author with her bestseller Modern Gurukul, recently created a Book Club on Facebook to encourage the passion for reading and exchanging ideas and thoughts.Talking about this initiative says Sonali, “This book club  is for anyone who is a lover of stories and who likes reading because today all of us are facing the same problem... there is so much information ....so much happening... so much distraction that we no longer have the time or inclination to sit down with a book and read or even spend time with ourselves. This is a great way of reconnecting with books and interesting stories and engage in stimulation conversation and discussions.”The former actress who continues to remain one of the most loved personalities on television will also be involving children ,suggesting books for them and discussing them, to inculcate a strong habit of reading in them from a young age.Sonali will also be involving her son Ranveer in the hope to encourage him to read more – Says Sonali, “He does read, but not as much as I’d like him to, so I am hoping that by setting this example, he develops a love for reading and not just read as part of his schooling or curriculum. I am involving him in the book reading club. Hopefully, he will read these books, too, if time permits from his studies.”
