The upcoming film ‘First Second Chance’ presented by Streetsmart Production announces its song ‘Haanji Naaji’

The recently announced film ‘First Second Chance’ by the renowned CEO & Founder of Streetsmart Productions, Lakshmi R Iyer, is joyous to announce the song ‘Haanji Naaji.

 

The song is immaculately voiced by singer Hamsika Iyer, who have given us songs like Raabta and Chammak Challo. The composition of the music is done by Anand Bhaskar.  He has sung amazing songs such as 'Munna Rap,' in web series Mirzapur, ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 Official Anthem with singers Amit Trivedi and Sharvi Yadav. 'Oru Dinam' from the Malayalam action film Big Brother starring Malayalam actor Mohanlal, actor, and producer Arbaaz Khan, and many more. The simply beautiful lyric for the song is provided by Shraddha Sehgal.

 

In the words of Music Composer Anand Bhaskar, “I had an absolute blast working on this music for ‘First Second Chance.’ I truly got to work with people I love and look up to. An overall extremely talented bunch of people. Starting with Lakshmi, the director of the film and the CCO – The Chief Chatterbox Officer - as I like to call her. I also got to work with my friends, Keshav Parthasarathy and Shravan Sridhar who added their own bits to the music. It’s a dream come true to work on the same project as Resul Pookutty Sir. My long-time friend Shraddha Sehgal who has written a bunch of songs for me. One of my favourite singers from the country and probably one of the best – Hamsika Iyer – who is such a bright spark for everyone. It was an amazing experience working with Renuka ma’am and Ananth sir who are absolute sweethearts and legends in their own rights. A wholesome family experience, and that is the film all about as well. I cannot wait for the film to come out and have people hear our music as well.”

 

On the other hand, Lyricist Shraddha Sehgal says, “_Haanji, Naaji Me Umar Guzaari, Mile Hum Abki Baari_. These lines sum up the essence of the song and the film ‘First Second Chance,’ that the super talented Lakshmi Iyer is about to bring to the world. I am so glad to get to write the song. Do hear it, it’s a marvel created by Anand Bhaskar. Hamsika ma’am’s voice is the perfect voice for it. It has created magic and every word is expressed meaningfully. It will surely reach your heart. Anand is an amazing talent and he trusted me to write this song on a sensitive topic and I am so glad that it fits the plot beautifully. I remember being at Lakshmi’s and being stunned to see so much energy and positivity in her. She is so much fun to work with and I can’t wait for more. We have grown watching Renuka Ji and Ananth Ji on screen and now to work with them on the same project seems like a fantasy. I feel blessed to work with such experienced and renowned bunch of artists. The film will be released on 5th June 2022. The film consists of stellar cast such as Renuka Shahane, Ananth Mahadevan, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Saahil Uppal and Nikhil Sangha. The story behind the film is inspired by real life. The film is produced by Streetsmart Production with immaculate direction by Lakshmi R Iyer.

Holi track in film Prithviraj

Akshay Kumar’s next is Yash Raj Films’ first historical, Prithviraj, which is based on the life and valour of the fearless and mighty King Prithviraj Chauhan. He is essaying the role of the legendary warrior who fought valiantly to protect India from the merciless invader Muhammad of Ghor in this visual spectacle.

 

The film will also focus on the beautiful love story between Prithviraj and his beloved Princess Sanyogita, played by the ethereally gorgeous debutant Manushi Chhillar, former Miss World 2017. In keeping with their strategy to only release teasers of the songs to hold back the visual extravaganza of the film to create more anticipation, Yash Raj Films today teased a glimpse of the first song of the film, Hadd Kar De – a Holi track that promises scale and a peak into the romance of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan and Princess Sanyogita.

 

Akshay loves the fact that all songs used by Yash Raj Films in Prithviraj are original compositions, a rarity in the Hindi film industry today that belts out remix after remix and have been criticised for its lack of originality. He says, “What I love about the songs in our film based on Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan’s life is that they are all original music! Today, hardly any film can boast of this and I love the album dearly because the songs are not in the film just for the sake of it.”

 

He adds, “The songs in our film take forward the narrative of the script and it has been written and strategically designed to express the said scene way, way better. The Holi song (Hadd Kar De) is a track that comes when the audience is told about how beautiful Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan and Princess Sanyogita’s romance was.”

 

Akshay further explains, “Theirs was a relationship of equals and I love that both parties strived to have a straight-forward relationship that was built on trust, mutual admiration and respect. It is a crucial song that shows the pure relationship that the two share and tells the audiences to see the film also as a romance and not just an epic historical film.”

 

Manushi says, “Hadd Kar De was the very first song we shot in the film! While prepping for the movie in general, I was learning a little bit of Kathak and practicing a little bit semi-classical. For Hadd Kar De, it is mostly semi-classical. There are few elements of Kathak in it. It is a very beautiful song about celebrating Holi. I still remember it was a wet Holi on the sets. So, I was wearing a lehenga and it was soaking up all the water so it was getting heavier and I was dancing with 250 dancers and I was matching their energies.”

 

She adds, “On the day of the song shoot I was very nervous and I had called my parents to come watch the shoot! They came on set and it was a really good experience because they got to know how movies are made and what actually happens behind the scenes. That was also the first time they came on any film set.”

Saregama releases a tribute to Siddharth Shukla with the song- ADHURA

 

There is heartening news for Siddharth Shukla fans. Saregama is all set to release their latest original Hindi single – Adhura, as a tribute to the memory of the actor.

 

The song will feature Shehnaaz Gill and the late Siddharth Shukla and will have footage from the last time the popular pair shot together for the music video of the song earlier this year.

 

This was in fact one of Siddharth’s unfinished or ‘adhura’ projects, before his untimely and heartbreaking demise cut short a promising life.

 

Subsequently flooded with a barrage of fan mail and request to release the song in some form, Saregama took it up on themselves to complete the project and launch the song – Adhura – as a fitting tribute to Siddharth Shukla - his unfinished life story and his last unfinished song.

Singer Ayush Talniya has collaborated with well-acclaimed rapper Viruss and Dubai-based model Jumana Khan for his upcoming song 'Shy'. The three artistes promise a beautiful track along with a visually appealing music video.  The song got released on June 26 and is a romantic track that expresses a guy’s feelings when he falls in love at first sight, revealed Ayush.

 

Ayush gained stardom after winning 'Best Vocalist at MTV Band of the Year' followed by his various hit songs which are still rulling the music charts. Viruss on the other hand became a star rapper after the tremendous success of ‘Bam Bholle’ -  a song starring Akshay Kumar. ‘Chale Aana’ From De De Pyaar De Is Sure To Tug At Your Heartstrings

The upcoming rom-com De De Pyaar De has created quite a buzz ever since the makers have released the rib-tickling trailer of the film. While the movie may appear to be all fun and frolic, it does have moments that tug at your heartstrings, and the latest track from the film — ‘Chale Aana’ beautifully encapsulates those moments. 

Picturized on Rakul Preet and Ajay Devgn, and composed by Amaal Mallik, who is known for his soulful melodies, Chale Aana is a heart-melting track that talks about the pain of separation and heartbreak, with a 90s flavour to it. The soul-stirring song comes to life in the melodious voice of Armaan Malik and Kunaal Vermaa’s evocative lyrics justify the mood of the song. 

Speaking about this high-on-emotion track, music director Amaal said, “Akiv (Ali) is very clear as a director, he knows what he wants and believes in pure melody. We cracked the words and lyrics and it brought about a nostalgic 90s feel to the song. Chale Aana is a 90s song in the year 2019, and I’m really happy with what we have achieved. It’s a heartbreak song, but done in the most heroic way, something that suits Ajay sir.”

What’s more, there is an interesting story behind how Chale Aana got penned. Speaking about it, lyricist Kunaal Vermaa said, “I had penned down a few lines when I was going through an emotional turmoil. One night, Amaal called me up asking if I have an emotional song. I sent him these lines, which he loved instantly. Those lines turned into this beautiful song – Chale Aana.”

Chale Aana’s depth and intensity is truly unmatchable, and the song is hitting all the right chords, including that of director Akiv Ali. He said, “Chale Aana is my personal favourite. It comes at a crucial point when there is an upheaval in Ajay and Rakul's relationship. Kunaal's beautifully penned lyrics combined with Amaal Mallik's soul-stirring music and Armaan Malik's haunting voice seamlessly capture the pain of separation and heartbreak. It is an intense track and I am hoping that it touches a chord with everyone.”

Sanya Malhotra sizzles in her first dance number ‘Morni’ from Badhaai Ho

After showcasing an entertaining trailer and the first celebratory song Badhaaiyan Tenu, the makers of Badhaai Ho have launched yet another Punjabi dance number, Morni from the family comedy.

Composed by Tanishk Bagchi, sung by Neha Kakkar and Guru Randhawa, Morni which is a recreation of a Punjabi folk song, will see Sanya showcasing her dancing skills for the first time on the big screen.

Composer Tanishk Bagchi says,Morni is a very special song to me. The word Morni is a very Nostalgic word in Punjab, and its sounds too sweet as well. The entire song is rearranged, in a completely new urban feel and vibe. Comparing the old version, only the hook of the song remains, Rest everything about the song is New and Fresh! I have put in my best to recreate this magical song! Morni has my twists and feel to it. Hoping everyone loves it.

The talented actress, who is a trained dancer and often appreciated for her dancing skills by her fans on the social networking sites, will be seen performing an energetic dance number alongside Ayushmann, touted as the party anthem for the festive season.

Sanya says,"It’s feel amazing! I was literally dying to dance in a film. I'm a huge Guru Randhawa and Neha Kakkar fan and I can't believe that my first dance song is sung by them. Morni is such a fun song and I'm sure it's going to be next big thing for parties."

Junglee Pictures presents Badhaai Ho in association with Chrome Pictures. Produced by Vineet Jain, Aleya Sen, Hemant Bhandari and Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film is co-produced by Priti Shahani. The film releases 19th October 2018.

First Look of Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha for the recreated track ‘Mungda’ from Total Dhamaal

Sonakshi Sinha recreates Helen’s iconic track ‘Mungda’ for Indra Kumar ‘upcoming film, Total Dhamaal. The actress will be seen shaking a leg for this special number along with Ajay Devgn.

The song has been directed by Kookie Gulati, talking about it, he shares, "Kookie Gulati who directed Mungda shares, “For a particular situation in the film, we needed a young & energetic song to keep with the pace of the film. That’s when the idea of ‘Mungda’ came into place.  When we heard the recreated version by Gourov – Roshin, we wanted someone who could match up the beats of the song! We immediately thought of Sonakshi Sinha – she has a unique & an amazing blend to reach the youth as well as the masses. I’ll tell you Sonakshi Sinha fits this song perfectly. She is a great dancer with a very expressive face. We got Adil Shaikh to do the choreography and he’s killed it! Mohit Rai helped putting her look together, Durga Prasad built the set and was shot by ace DOP Keiko Nakahara. We are keeping the energy of the old track but taking it to the next level in scale and look. It was incredible that Indra Kumar, Ajay Devgn & Ashok Thakeria had faith in me and trusted me with this huge responsibility! I think we had a dream team and the results are there for everyone to see.”   

Sonakshi Sinha shares, "It was great reuniting with Ajay sir after Son Of Sardaar on this song and this film. I have really enjoyed the Dhamaal franchise and was thrilled when they asked me to be a part of it! The entire song shoot went off fantastically and was super fun!"

Pradeep Sarkar’s son to give playback for Helicopter Eela

National award winning director Pradeep Sarkar has commissioned his son, Ronit give playback for his upcoming directorial which stars Kajol and Riddhi Sen.

Ronit has previously sung the title track of Lafangay Parindey, which was Pradeep Sarkar’s directoral debut and which featured Deepika Padokone and Neil Nitin Mukesh.

When asked about the song in the movie, Ronit says, “The song is titled ‘Mumma Ki Parchai’ and is composed by Amit Trivedi. The team tried my voice out first and thought it was a decent match, so we went to the studio and recorded it again for the film.”

The song’s energy is what he loved the most. “Its lyrics are funny. The song is in the rock zone, which is familiar territory for me as I was a part of a few bands during college.”

Describing the song more, Ronit says, “The song is about Kajol’s Eela and her son. As a teenager, sometimes you perceive your mother’s protectiveness as her being overbearing. You are too young to understand the sentiment behind it.”

“I’ve been on set all my life but this time the film’s characters have a lot of connection with music. There was a piano on the set and a guitar too. We would be jamming in a room there. Kajol plays the piano in the film so I helped her out.”

He also mentioned that the song was recorded over an evening. “Dad wasn’t present because he tries not to be in the studio when I’m recording.” He bonded with Riddhi, a fellow musician and the male lead of the film. “Riddhi is younger than me, not just the character but the actor too. He’s a guitarist so we hung out quite a bit when I was on the set,” he informs.

‘Khajoor Pe Atke’ Song ‘Duniya’ Will Have You Laughing Out Loud

The makers of Harsh Chhaya’s directorial debut ‘Khajoor Pe Atke’ revealed their latest song ‘Duniya’ and we bet that this number will have you laughing till your sides hurt.

The song features behind the scenes footage of the film shoot and offers viewers a glimpse of the funny things that occurred during the shooting of the film. Needless to say, it is a sheer delight to watch the actors having a fun time laughing and having the time of their lives while working on the film. The number has been composed by Bickram Ghosh, penned by Kumar and crooned by Divya Kumar and Ujjaini Mukherjee.

Karan Johar introduces 6 Pack Band 2.0 for mental disability awareness with Y-Films & Brooke Bond Red Label

India’s 1st transgender band, the Brooke Bond Red Label 6 Pack Band exploded on to the scene in 2016, winning millions of hearts across the globe and became India’s most awarded campaign ever. The band had special collaborations with Anushka Sharma, Hrithik Roshan, Sonu Nigam, Asha Bhosle, among others, that became huge talking points.

In its 2nd edition, the 6-Pack Band 2.0 focuses on the important theme of Mental Health & Disability. Celebrated Producer-Director-Author-Host Karan Johar joins this cause to change the way we perceive children with different abilities. 

India’s 1st isspeshal band, the 6-Pack Band 2.0, comprises 6 teens between the ages of 13 to 18 [3 girls, 3 boys] with special needs but incredible music skills, drive and passion. Their spirit, their infectious energy, their resolve and their life stories are extremely inspiring. The band has been conceived & produced by Ashish Patil, Head of Y-Films, the youth wing of Yash Raj Films and curated by Shameer Tandon. They’re here to show the world that no disability can hold you back if given the right kind of love & support. 

Given the extensive research he’s done on Autism for his film ‘My Name is Khan’, Karan Johar is deeply invested into his support for the cause. As April is also Autism Awareness Month, the band’s launch becomes even more special. Karan says, “It’s so wonderful to see these young, super talented kids come together to create something so epic. I’m excited to be a part of something I know will not only change you and me but also has the power to change the world. I can’t wait to see what these kids do next, they are here to conquer the world with their talent!” 

Head of Y-Films, Ashish Patil adds, “Y-Films has always created content that does more than just entertain. Be it for gender equality, LGBTQ support or Sex Education, we’ve been at the forefront in getting these important messages across in the most fun manner. Being a special needs parent myself, the theme of mental health & disability is very very close to my heart. I know what one goes through as the world judges these kids day in and day out. The band’s 1st single, ‘Jhakkad Pakkad Dance’ celebrates life. It showcases how we all need to shed our ignorance and our inhibitions. And learn to accept everyone as they are and dance like no one’s watching. Shot all over the city, it shows the band having a blast as they perform without a care in the world. The song has been written by Kumaar and the video has been directed by ace choreographer Adil Shaikh. 

Mental health & disability is a matter of critical importance as WHO estimates that almost 20% of the world’s population needs some or the other form of medical intervention. And almost 80% of cases go untreated for at least the first 12 months due to the stigma associated. Specifically, 1 in 68 children are affected by autism with the condition being 5 times more prevalent in boys than girls. This campaign hopes to create much more awareness, conversations and hopefully impact about this important theme over the 6 songs and 6 music videos that it will release over the next 6 months.
