The rare quality that very few actresses posses in the
tinsel town is the art of delivering a comic performance. But in Pyaar Ka
Punchnama 2, Nushrat Bharucha threw the audience into fits of laughter. Her
nuanced performance as the nagging girlfriend we all remember as -
"CHICKU", landed her a few awards, most notable of them was the
prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the Best Actor in a Comic Role, where
she joins other stalwarts this year like Manoj Bajpayee and Priyanka Chopra.
She is extremely ecstatic with the honour but that's not
all thats keeping her smile going. Nushrat will now be seen in an Ad directed
by Dibakar Bannerji, who had first directed Nushrat in his film 'Love, Sex Aur
Dhokha', where she essayed the role of a virginal, repressed north indian girl,
a victim of honour killing.
Well, our very own Mumbai girl seems to be covering all
the colours of a rainbow with panache. We hope to keep seeing her in more and
she can keep us entertained with her infectious combination of beauty and
