​Swara Bhaskar visits Café run by acid attack survivors in Lucknow

Swara Bhaskar is on a promotional spree for her forthcoming project, Anaarkali of Aarah. The versatile actress who will be seen playing the lead role of an erotic singer in the musical drama recently visited Lucknow for the movie promotions. 
During the promotion, Swara happened to whiz past a café which she got to know is run by acid attack survivors. Considering that, she took a quick U-turn and visited the café. It was indeed a pleasant surprise for the survivors as she congratulated them for their efforts and also interacted with them.  

Produced by Priya and Sandiip Kapur and written and directed by Avinash Das under the banner Promodome Motion Pictures, Anaarkali of Aarah features Swara in a never-seen-before role of an erotic singer along with Sanjai Mishra, Pankaj Tripathy and Ishhtiaq Khan. The movie releases on March 24.

Swara Bhaskar offered to write fiction & non-fiction books by publishing houses

Swara Bhaskar’s first script as a writer – Split Ends won the Asia Society India Centre New Voices Fellowship for Screenwriters last year.
The versatile actor, who is always known for her choice of interesting roles and playing it with great aplomb on screen, also won Rs 2 lakh prize money for coming up with a compelling story which will soon to be adapted into a film.
If sources are to be believed, the author is in demand for her writing skills as several well-known publishing houses have been approaching her with offers to write books, in both Hindi and English.
Not many know, Swara has done her Masters in English Literature and she also has a good command over Hindi.
The talented actress, who is currently busy developing Split Ends and two other new scripts, also completed a workshop that was organised as part of the fellowship.
Swara says, “One day, I want to write a novel. But I don’t think I am capable of doing that just now. One of those two new scripts is a comedy, about two Delhi girls and a trip that’s gone out of control.”
