Yash Raj Films is making its first historical with Prithviraj, which is based on the life and valour of the fearless and mighty Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan.

 

Superstar Akshay Kumar is essaying the role of the legendary warrior who fought valiantly against the merciless invader Muhammad of Ghor. Akshay unveiled the teaser of the film via social media and saluted the daredevilry of the braveheart.

 

Akshay says, “The teaser of Prithviraj captures the soul of the film, the essence of the life of the legendary warrior Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan who knew no fear. This is our tribute to his heroism and his life. The more I read about him, the more I was awed by how he lived and breathed every single second of his glorious life for his country and his values.”

 

The superstar adds, “He is a legend, he is one of the bravest warriors and he is one of the most upright kings that our country has ever seen. We hope that Indians worldwide love our salute to this mighty braveheart. We have tried to present his life story in the most authentic way possible and the film is a homage to his unmatched bravery and courage.”

 

The gorgeous Manushi plays the role of his beloved Sanyogita and her launch is definitely one of the most awaited debuts of 2022. Produced by Yash Raj Films, Prithviraj is being directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi who directed the biggest television epic Chanakya – based on the life and times of the most influential political strategist of India and the multiple award-winning Pinjar. Prithviraj will release worldwide on January 21, 2022.

Teaser of Nawazuddin Siddique’s Monsoon Shootout will have you completely gripped

The first release date announcement poster of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s much-awaited film Monsoon Shootout was released yesterday and was well received by all. Now the makers of the film have released a crisp yet gripping teaser of the film. Directed by the award winning director of the short film Bypass, Amit Kumar, Monsoon Shootout stars Nawazuddin Siddique and Vijay Verma in the lead roles. The teaser intercuts between shots of crime and action scenes, giving us the peek into what the film is about. With a gripping line - which says “Ganghor toofani baarish se khatarnak Kya ho sakta hai... Bin mausam barsaat”, the teaser is every bit intense to bring out the thrill element of the film.

Teaser Unveiled! ‘Haseena Parkar’ Is A Gritty Gangster Drama

Shraddha Kapoor, who has mostly played the girl next door, will be seen essaying a dark role for the very first time in Apoorva Lakhia’s upcoming film ‘Haseena Parkar’, which is based on the life of dreaded don Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar and the teaser of the film was revealed today.

The teaser, featuring Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddhanth Kapoor, who plays Dawood Ibrahim, offers a glimpse into the life of Haseena Parkar, who had lived a normal family life before her husband was gunned down by men from Arun Gawli’s gang, which prompted her to step up and be a part of the notorious ‘D-Company’ and eventually become the ‘Godmother’ of Nagpada. The teaser makes it evident that the film has been shot well and the background score is quite chilling, reminding us of Ram Gopal Varma’s cult gangland flicks like ‘Satya’, ‘Company’ and ‘Sarkar’. Also, Shraddha is impressively sinister as Haseena and the fact that she has got some badass dialogues like, “Aapa yaad reh gaya na… naam yaad rakhne ki zaroorat nahi”, has made us all the more eager to watch this movie. 

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, ‘Haseena Parkar’, which stars Shraddha’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor as Dawood Ibrahim, is being presented by Swiss Entertainment and has been produced by Nahid Khan.‘Haseena Parkar’ is slated to release on August 18.

Priyanka Chopra’s production house Purple Pebble Pictures debut Marathi movie, Ventilator is currently into its post-production stage.Produced by Madhu Chopra and directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, the first song from the movie, ‘Ya Re Ya Saare Ya’ was officially launched by the global icon herself today (31st August) on her Twitter account.Ventilator is a family entertainer featuring a sterling ensemble cast that includes veteran Marathi film and theatre actors.Interestingly, the high-energy dance number celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi festival as the family welcomes the arrival of Lord Ganesh.Priyanka tweeted, “This season of Ganesh Chaturthi, So proud to launch two Ganpati Songs from our Marathi Film #ventilator” Director Rajesh Mapuskar says, “Back home in my village Shriwardhan, I’ve always heard my father and uncles singing Ya Re Ya during Ganpati celebration. India’s iconic superstars in Vidya Balan’s Ekk Albela’s teaser campaign

Produced by Kimaya Motion Pictures and directed by Shekhar Sartandel, Manglmurti Films’ Ekk Albela features award winning versatile actor Mangesh Desai as Bhagwan Dada and the powerhouse performer Vidya Balan portraying the role of renowned yesteryear actress Geeta Bali in her debut Marathi movie.

Bhagwan Dada, touted as Hindi cinema’s first dancing superstar, was known for his trademark dance moves, which continues to inspire actors even today! The trailer of Homi Adajania's next titled Finding Fanny has got an overwhelming response. It has garnered over a million views in just 22 hours. The quirky comedy stars Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur and Dimple Kapadia in key roles.

Film aficionados across the world are gearing up for the futuristic fantasy event of the year with the release of the eagerly awaited film Kochadaiiyaan - The Legend worldwide in cinemas this December 2013.After igniting interest and anticipation across social mediums for the launch of the teasertrailer, producers Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited, Eros International and director Soundarya Rajnikanth Ashwin will release the film's first teaser trailer on the 9th of September 2013. Expected to garner a vast number of views as soon as it is released, the teaser trailer will showcase some of the breath-taking special effects used to tell the majestic mythological tale. Poised as the grand finale film of the year, Kochadaiiyaan will rival and transcend the CG capabilities utilised in such Hollywood masterpieces as Avatar, Tin Tin and Beowulf. The avant-garde film features the unique visual mastery of Photorealistic Performance Capture technology, a first within the realm of Indian film-making.
Kochadaiiyaan is an epic dramatisation of good versus evil starring South Indian megastar Rajinikanth who is cast as the archetypal superhero in a dual role. Also starring in the grand production are Indian A-listers Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff and South India’s leading stars R. Sarathkumar, Nazzer, Aadhi, Shobana and Rukmini.Providing the musical score is maestro and Oscar-winning composer A R Rahman, whose list of credits includes a BAFTA, a Golden Globe and two Academy Awards for his outstanding musical compilation for the multi-Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire.
Kochadaiiyaan stemmed from the grand vision of the director Soundarya Rajnikanth Ashwin, a talented and forward thinking filmmaker who is well versed with various trend setting film techniques. She says: “My ambition has always been to immortalise my father and bring the legendary Rajinikanth that audiences around the world adore in an ‘avatar’ he hasn’t ever been seen in nor experienced.

During the making of Kochadaiiyaan, I began to realise that through the medium of this film, we had to embrace a much broader aim which had the potential to be a game-changer for Indian cinema on a global level. I have been passionately involved in film animation techniques and production for the last six years and for Kochadaiiyaan we wanted to do something unique and to create a new  cinematic experience for India. To achieve this we decided to use Photorealistic Performance Capture technology which allowed us to have unlimited creativity on all grounds from building lavish sets, directing expansive fight sequences and creating elaborate costumes. Through the film, we will be able to transport audiences back to historic India and provide them with a much broader sensory experience. Kochadaiiyaan has created not only firsts in Asia but also on a world level through the

use of the technology. What we achieved with the support of our technical partners in the UK, USA, India and China, has made this project a truly international venture and we are sure that Kochadaiiyaan will set the path for Indian cinema’s next 100 year journey.”
The British funded project by reputed producers Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited and the AIM listed company Eros International has been shot exclusively at Pinewood Studios in the UK with a team of world-class technical experts including the London based Centroid Studios, a state of the art facility for Full Body Motion Capture, which have worked on various famous Hollywood productions including the recent Brad Pitt starrer World War Z, Pirates of the Caribbean, Ironman 2 and Harry Potter, and Counter Punch Studios from Los Angeles, who have been behind successes such as Beverly Hills Chihuahua. They worked in collaboration with Faceware Technologies, who have worked with The Mummy 3 and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button for the Facial Capturing technology. A team of technical experts from South India and China have worked on the animation and the overall completion of the project.
