What to watch out for in the 10th Season of Kaun Banega Crorepati

As the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan gears up to welcome you in his deep baritone, addressing one and all with the warmest “Deviyon aur Sajjano, swagat hai aapka….” starting 3rd September at 9:00pm on Sony Entertainment Television,  we thought of listing out a few things that you would want to watch out for this season! 

#1 – Kab Tak Rokoge 

This season of KBC unveiled with the campaign - #KabTakRokoge evoking the emotions of every KBC aspirant. This year KBC celebrates the spirit of resilience in people. 

#2 – Will enthrall audience for 12 weeks 

The show will air 60 episodes this season – 5 episodes per week. While the previous season was much shorter, leaving the audience asking for more, this season, the makers have planned the episodes over 12 weeks!

#3 – KBC Karamveer 

While previous season celebrated the Friday special episodes with Nai Chah Nai Raah, this season, the makers have titled the Friday special episodes as “KBC Karamveers”. This episode will see individuals whose heroic actions and good deeds have brought about a positive change in the society thereby becoming an inspiration for many. Some Karamveers will be accompanied by celebrities championing their cause. 

#4 – Ask the Expert 

While 50:50, Audience Poll and Jodidaar, the much-appreciated Lifelines, have been retained, this year will see the return of ‘Ask the Expert’ lifeline wherein one expert will be available to the contestant via video call link to help the contestant with an appropriate answer. 

#5 – Use of Augmented Reality for the first time on Indian Television

With the participants trying to crack the ‘Fastest-Fingers-First’ to get to the Hot Seat, this year, the show promises to be a visual delight for the viewers with the well-integrated use of Augmented Reality (AR) making television viewing a truly phenomenal experience. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen interacting with elements like – Dhanalay (the money pyramid), Ghadi Buddy (the timer) and the Lifelines. Apart from this, the 10 contestants on the show will be introduced via an AR map of India.

#6 – Contestants 

This year, the show received the highest ever, record-breaking registrations of over 31 million within a span of 15 Days. Only time will tell who makes it to the Hot Seat!

#7 – Opening episode

This year the show opens with a heartfelt poem recital by none other than Amitabh Bachchan himself!

#8 – Audio-Visual questions 

For the first time in the history of the show, audio-visual questions, on varied subjects ranging from sports to politics, have been included in the format.

Conceptualized and written by Nitesh Tiwari and Nikhil Mehrotra, the campaign beautifully highlights three relatable stories with a soul. We often face situations in life that tend to deter us from achieving our goals. Often, we encounter people who discourage our attempts and obstruct our progress. When the odds are against us, one can only stand up to them and ask… #KabTakRokoge? Known for their unique brand of film making, these inspiring films have been directed by Nitesh Tiwari and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.

Why Was Vidya Balan Afraid of Amitabh Bachchan on Kaun Banega Crorepati 9

The finale episode of Sony Entertainment Television’s biggest game reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 will see ace cricketer Yuvraj Singh along with actress Vidya Balan take charge on the hot seat. It was an entertaining episode where cricket and movies were discussed at length.At one point, Vidya Balan started a conversation about ‘meme’ circulation around the show and the actor/host. At first, Amitabh Bachchan didn’t understand what ‘meme’ was and asked Vidya Balan the exact way to pronounce the word followed by seeing different memes circulating on the internet. Vidya was not sure if it would offend him and a little afraid. But, Amitabh Bachchan being the star that he is took it sportingly and asked her to show him more.

Shilpa Shinde; the best entertainer of Bigg Boss 11

Actor Shilpa Shinde is one of the most entertaining contestants on Bigg Boss 11. While many other contestants resort to screaming and shouting at each other, Shilpa opted for teasing co-contestant Vikas Gupta. It is no secret how much the actor has suffered in her past because of him professionally. By singing songs, offering him food and playing pranks on him, Shilpa was really entertaining as well. Shilpa's never-say-die spirit is very evident in the show. She is constantly struggling to do her best in the show as well as all the tasks. She is constantly seen working and cooking in the kitchen and makes sure to feed everyone.Her humane side was also seen when she did not nominate herself for becoming captain and even went and comforted co-contestant Sapna Chaudhary, who was upset at not being selected.

KBC 9 Special Episode On Set PICS

Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 with Taapsee Pannu & Dr. Subroto Das

The Friday Special episode of Sony Entertainment Television’s biggest game reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 will see actress Tapsee Pannu supporting Dr. Subroto Das also known as Highway Masiha. Dr. Subroto Das is from Vadodra, Gujrat. The back story of Dr. Subroto Das goes back to a few years back while he and his family were returning from Khambat, Cambay and met with an accident. In the unfortunate incident, they were lying injured for about 4 hours without any help. Later, a milkman helped them by stopping his motorbike in the middle of the road to stop a bus and that is how ‘Sanstha- lifeline foundation’ was born. 

Dr. Subroto Das’ son- Sukanto Das also demonstrated the process of giving a CPR to a wounded person when Amitabh Bachchan requested him for the same. With the Friday Special episode about road safety, Amitabh Bachchan revealed that he sometimes stops people who breaks signals and will continue to do so and requests fellow people accompanying him to help other people who becomes victims of accidents to which he has done that a number of times. 

Taapsee on the other hand was overwhelmed being on Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 and shared some memorable moments with Amitabh Bachchan while supporting Sr. Subroto Das.

Usha Uthup and Amitabh Bachchan Revisit Kolkata Days on Kaun Banega Crorepati 9

This Friday’s episode of Sony Entertainment Television’s biggest game reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 9 will be a musical affair as Usha Uthup makes her presence on the show. The singer will be seen supporting Gauri Sawant, a transgender who wishes to build houses for sex workers near Kharghar with the amount she wins. During the shoot, the singer revealed that she knew Amitabh since Kolkata days and feels great to be on the show. When Usha made a musical entry on the sets singing her famous and iconic songs, Amitabh couldn’t help but sing along with her. 

Before the episode ended, Usha Uthup gifted Gauri Sawant a beautiful saree and gifted Amitabh Bachchan a shawl which he wore gracefully.
