Simmba Fame Siddharth Jadhav Joins Hands With Planet Marathi’s Planet Talent

 

Simmba fame, talented Marathi actor, dancer and performer, Siddharth Jadhav joins Planet Talent, a wing under the visionary Marathi entertainment banner Planet Marathi.

Being one of the most successful torch bearers of Marathi talent in Bollywood, Siddharth has showcased his talent in films like Golmaal and Simmba. Eros International & Windows come together once again for their next Bengali venture Haami

       

After successfully collaborating on Belaseshe, Praktan and Posto

leading Indian film studio Eros Internationaland Windows joins hands once again for their next Bengali film Haami, directed by director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprasad Mukherjee. Starring Shiboprasad Mukherjee himself, Gargi Roychowdhury, Sujan Mukherjee, Churni Ganguly, Kharaj Mukherjee, Koninica Banerjee, Aparajita Adhya and acclaimed contemporary dancer and actor Tanusree Shankar, the film releases on May 18. 

This social commentary revolves around the friendship of two children that beautifully captures innocence of pure unadulterated love and will take you down the memory lane of your childhood days of fun and friendship. This movie also asks questions that need to be answered, who is to be blamed when society lets down our little ones? The individual or the system? Where did parent teacher trust vanish? Why don't we nurture our children's innocence? 

With a subject that will appeal to the national audience, Eros will release the movie in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune.

ABOUT HAAMI 

Haami is a story of two school friends, Bhutu and Chini, who come from completely different background. Bhutu's parents, Laltu and Mitali are rich furniture-shop owners who are more into popular culture and Chini's parents, Srinjoy and Rina are academicians - elite and sophisticated. Inspite these differences Bhutu and Chini are best friends. As luck would have it, a situation occurs, where the parents of these two children separate them and put an end to their friendship.

 However, the young vice-principal cum student counsellor of their school, Arundhati tries to make them see reason, but will she succeed? Will the adults accept the playful innocence of the children?

A story that will take you down the memory lane of your childhood days of fun and friendship, Haami is releasing in 18th May 2018.  

After their film, Ramdhanu that released in 2014, became a massive hit and touched their audiences with the very relatable storyline of a middle-class couple trying to get their son admitted in a reputed school, Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee decided to make a film on what happens after the child joins school. The story is inspired by the situation that we see around us every day of the growing mistrust between schools and parents. It was planned as a sequel where the lead pair Laltu and Mitali are now facing various situations because of their son's antics at school.

Eros International gears up for a hat trick with ‘Posto’

Eros International Media Ltd, India’s leading global company in the Indian film industry, reunited with director duo Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, makers of two consecutive Bengali super hits—Belaseshe and Praktan—to announce their upcoming Bengali family drama Posto slated to release on May 12, 2017. 

Starring Padma Bhushan awardee Soumitra Chatterjee, Lily Chakraborty, Jisshu Sengupta, Mimi Chakraborty, Paran Bandopadhyay among others, Posto (a regular delicacy at any Bengali household), is a contemporary film based on the intricacies of human relationships that centres around a 7-year-old boy. Multi-talented musicians—Anupam Roy, Anindya Chatterjee and Upal Sengupta—have come together to create music for this film.  

Anticipating the story of Posto built around modern day parenting and co-parenting, will resonate with audiences across the country, Eros is targeting an approximate 100 screen release nationally (outside of Kolkata), including newer markets, a first for any Bengali film. The company also has plans to release the film widely overseas as well.

Ekta Kapoor encourages regional talent for Alt Balaji's Boygiri"- “men will be boys”

I play a character very close to my life – a television sports anchor who is going through a lean patch and finds solace in his friends. A fun-loving, bindass character who is proud of his libido and is smooth with women. I’ve stripped down to bare minimum for this show and especially walking around naked on the sets was hard. This could be one of the boldest and most fun web series of the current era and if anybody had the balls to make such a show it had to be Ekta Kapoor, she is the queen and the king maker. फिल्मसिटी में पिछले दिनों अनोखा नज़ारा था।  गणेश आचार्या अपनी मराठी फिल्म भिकारी का गीत शूट कर रहे थे।  इस शूट की ख़ास बात यह थी कि इसमे ५०० डांसरों का इस्तेमाल किया गया था।  इस गीत में ४० फ़ीट की गणेश प्रतिमा के सामने नृत्य किया जा रहा था।  इस गीत में फिल्म के हीरो स्वप्निल जोशी और नायिका ऋचा इनामदार सहित तमाम करैक्टर आर्टिस्ट्स भी हिस्सा ले रहे थे।  इस गीत की विशालता का अंदाजा इसी से लगाया जा सकता है कि गाने को शूट करने में पूरे तीन दिन लगे।  एक ख़ास बात यह  भी थी कि ५०० डांसरों के अलावा ५०० दर्शकों की भीड़ भी शामिल थी।  इन सभी एक्स्ट्रा कलाकारों नए कपडे सिला कर दिए गए थे।  इस गीत को सुखविंदर ने गाया है।  भिकारी साउथ की सुपर हिट फिल्म पीचेकरण का मराठी रीमेक है।

Eros International & Maqtro Pictures’ Malayalam family drama C/O SAIRA BANU goes on floo

Close on the heels of the success of their last Malayalam outing,Happy Wedding, Eros International Media Ltd, India’s leading global company in the Indian film industryand Maqtro Pictures Pvt Ltd’s C/O Saira Banu starring Manju Warrier, Amala Akkineni and Shane Nigam went on floor last week. Eros International and Magic Lantern announce Malayalam action comedy IDI with Jayasurya

            Film slated to release on August 12, 2016 

Eros International in collaboration with Magic Lantern have announced their upcoming Malayalam film IDI (Punch) starring Jayasurya, slated to release on August 12, 2016.

The directorial debut of Sajid Yahiya, this action comedy will feature the super hit pair of Jayasurya and Shivada who won hearts as a couple in their previous film Su.. Su.. Sudhi Vathmeekam. The film also stars Joju George, Yog Japee, Saiju Kurup, and Sudhi Koppa among others.

A mass entertainer with big scale action sequences, protagonist Jayasurya will be playing the character of a super cop - Inspector Dawood Ibrahim and seen performing never-seen-before action stunts. Rahul Raj has directed the music in the film.

Superstars Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta to come together after over a decade.First Bengali film to have a national and international release on same day 

Following the unprecedented success of Belaseshe, Eros International, a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry, joins hands with directors Shiboprasad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, the makers of  Belaseshe, once again to release Bengali film Praktan (Former) starring the biggest stars of the Bengali film industry—Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta—across India on May 27. Praktan is the first Bengali film to be released nationally and internationally on same day. 

Directed by Shiboprasad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy, the romantic drama that beautifully captures the importance of memories, will bring together Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta after 15 years. The film also stars Soumitra Chatterjee, Sabitri Chatterjee, Anupam Roy, Anindya Chaterjee among others.
