The wait is finally over and Luv Ranjan’s romcom – Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety hits the big screens. According to trade experts, the film is expected to get a huge opening. The morning shows are already showing 80 percent occupancy and the night shows are expected to run to packed houses. Advance booking was 80 percent and no wonder the weekend shall have cinema halls running to housefull boards. Kartik Aaryan’s fans have waited enough for this film and they are loving their chocolate hero turned hunk in this movie. Everyone has been praising his work and his comic timing. With such a refreshing concept and quirky characters, the film is being praised by all critics alike also. What’s more, as usual, Kartik Aaryan yet again shines in the film. He’s being praised for carrying the film on his shoulder and some are even calling him the best thing about the film. Ace critic Taran Adarsh has called him a show stealer. Here are the praises that the actor has been getting for his interesting role Sonu in the film.

सालों की मेहनत  और पारिवारिक ज़िन्दगी को दांव पर लगा कर  डॉक्टर दीपंकर रॉय लेप्रोसी की वैक्सीन खोज लेते हैं।  यह खबर आग की तरह चैनलों के माध्यम से फ़ैल जाती हैं।  एक अंजाना सा जूनियर डॉक्टर वर्ल्ड फेम हो जाता है।  इसके साथ ही डॉक्टर रॉय को प्रताड़ित करने का सिलसिला शुरू हो जाता है।  उससे स्पष्टीकरण पूछा जाता है कि  लेप्रोसी वैक्सीन की खबर मीडिया में लीक कैसे हो गई।  उसे प्रशासन से लेकर शासन के उच्च स्तर से फटकार  मिलती है।  साथ के डॉक्टर उसे अपमानित करने की कोशिश करते हैं।  उसे दिल का दौरा पड़ता है। डॉक्टर का एक दूरस्थ गाँव में तबादला कर दिया जाता है। ऐसे समय में उसका साथ उसकी पत्नी और दो दोस्त ही देते हैं।  तभी खबर आती है कि लेप्रोसी वैक्सीन की खोज अमेरिकी  वैज्ञानिकों ने कर ली है। इसके साथ ही एक डॉक्टर की मौत हो जाती है।  यह कहानी है बांगला फिल्म डायरेक्टर तपन सिन्हा की १९९० में रिलीज़ फिल्म एक डॉक्टर की मौत की। यह फिल्म रामपद चौधरी की कहानी अभिमन्यु पर रामपद और तपन सिन्हा द्वारा लिखी गई थी।   यह फिल्म नौकरशाही की तिकड़मों,  सिस्टम द्वारा प्रतिभा को प्रताड़ित करने और मान्यता न देने की है।  लेकिन, डॉक्टर की मौत तब भी नहीं होती।  फिल्म एक डॉक्टर की मौत मानवता की जीवंतता की कहानी है।  फिल्म के ख़त्म होते होते डॉक्टर रॉय को जॉन एंडरसन फाउंडेशन का एक खत मिलता है, जिसमे उसे दूसरे प्रतिष्ठित वैज्ञानिकों के साथ अन्य दूसरी बीमारियों की दवाएं खोजने का न्योता मिलता है। डॉक्टर रॉय अनुभव करते हैं कि उनकी मेहनत बेकार नहीं गई थी।  वह इस न्योते को स्वीकार करने का मन बनाते हैं, क्योंकि वह मानव कल्याण के लिए काम करते रहना चाहते हैं।  इस फिल्म में डॉक्टर रॉय की बीवी का किरदार शबाना आज़मी ने किया था।  साथी डॉक्टर  कुंडू का किरदार बांगला फिल्म अभिनेता अनिल चटर्जी कर रहे थे।  आज के विश्व प्रसिद्ध बॉलीवुड एक्टर इरफ़ान खान ने डॉक्टर रॉय के दूसरे दोस्त का किरदार किया था। यह इरफ़ान के करियर की तीसरी फिल्म थी। फिल्म में डॉक्टर दीपंकर रॉय का किरदार अभिनेता पंकज कपूर ने किया था।  पंकज कपूर का आज जन्मदिन (२९ मई १९६४) है।

24 : Triple bonanza for suriya’s fans

Tamil star Suriya returns this year with his first huge release, 24. Directed by Vikram K Kumar, who made the engaging Manam , this sci fi thriller is about time travel. Scary premise to make, of course, but kudos to the makers for trying something different. And making sure the film stick to the theme, there by bowling us over in the process. Sethuraman, played by Suriya,  is a brilliant scientist who creates a watch that could manipulate time. He calls it Project 24. However, his twin brother Athreya (Suriya, again), a dreaded don, wants the watch for himself, and therefore attacks his brother, killing his wife in the process. Sethuraman escapes with his infant baby, with the villain close on his heels. Knowing that he has no escape, Sethu leaves his baby and his watch in a protective cover with a lady he meets on a train. Athreya catches up with his brother and kills him, but gets incapacitated in the process and goes into a coma for 26 years. Meanwhile that infant boy grows up to be a strapping young watch mechanic Mani (of course, Suriya), who, one fine day and a series of coincidences later, open that box containing the watch. Having his father’s intellect in his genes, Mani soon understands the magic of the watch. He begins to manipulate time to his advantage, especially in hatching a romantic plot with pretty girl, Sathya played by Samantha. However, Athreya wakes up from his coma and comes looking for the watch that could help him regain his lost youth. Thus begins a brilliant game of chess between the similar looking protagonist and antagonist with time travel as their chessboard!

24 is one of the best thrillers and time travel film made in India. Vikram K Kumar’s taut direction and his defiance in not making his hero a superhero! The screenplay is tight at most times, and tends to surprise you at crucial junctures, especially the interval and the climatic portions. The film splendidly handles how the hero and the villain manipulate each other, baffling you at times. Ofcourse it has shades of British film About Time and Mr. India, but you can easily overlook that. 24 has enough moments of romance, comedy and family drama, without letting them overshadow the main narrative. The technical value of the film is top notch, with special mention to the cinematography and the VFX team. 24 is a Suriya show all the way! The actor is back in form after a disappointing Massu, and he brilliantly handles all the three distinct roles without any hiccups. Samantha may just be the quintessential arm candy, but she enacts her portions with aplomb. This film is for Bollywood to remake it in Hindi, of course with Hrithik Roshan.

KATIYABAAZ opens to rave reviews!

After enthralling at various film festivals and winning several awards, Deepti Kakkar and Fahad Mustafa's documentary KATIYABAAZ has now opened to rave reviews unanimously, receiving a thumbs-up from the critics alike. Words which clearly indicate the movie reviewers' excitement praising the film, go on to hint that KATIYABAAZ is not to be missed.

STORY

It feels very sad to witness some films that are Good, Well-Made and Message oriented. But get's release without proper promotions or hammering. Salim Raza's Haunted Child is one such example. The best part of this movie (which literally moves you) is it talks about Girl Child Killing. According to me, From Celebrity to a Common Man to an entire Nation, Every one are talking about Save The Girl Child effort. But how many of us are seriously taking any stands?

Haunted Child tells the story of Tanya who hails from a small town. She comes to city to become a model. She befriends with Deepak who is a Fashion Photographer. Tanya fall in love with him and she gets pregnant. Deepak's house owner Mannisha wants adopt Tanya's child. There for she takes Tanya to a lonely place where Tanya can easily give birth to a child without any hassle. Tanya delivers baby girl. All hell break loose when the new born girl get's killed.

The Girl Child soul comes back for her Revenge.

STARCACT

There is not much to talk about the performances of Actors. All the actors in the film have performed very well. Such films must be judged on the merit of the content. And the content of the film is very strong and powerful.

Direction / Music / Lyrics /Editing / Camera:

Salim Raza has written and directed the film. With the given budget, Salim Raza does full justice to the script and churns out a decent Horror flick which also gives you a hard hitting social message. The production value and camera work of the film is very decent. I somehow found the music part very irritating. The background score of the film is good. Especially at creating the chilling atmosphere.

I will definitely recommend Haunted Child for the strong message which hits right inside your heart. Do give this film a view.

शराब में डूबे युवा की मौत कहानी आशिकी 2

आज आशिकी 2 देखी। कैसी लगी नहीं बताऊँगा। युवाओं की फिल्म है। मैं युवा नहीं। आशिकी 2 से जुड़े तमाम लोग युवा है। निर्देशक मोहित सूरी 32 साल के हैं। हीरो आदित्य रॉय कपूर 27 साल के हैं। हीरोइन श्रद्धा कपूर भी उनकी हम उम्र हैं। सबसे उम्र दराज़ लेखिका शगुफ्ता रफीक थीं। सिनेमा हाल में बैठे तमाम लाँड़े लौंडियाँ युवा थी। यह युवा इस लिहाज से थे कि फिल्म शुरू होते ही अर्थात सिनेमाहाल में अंधेरा छाते ही, यह उन्मुक्त जोड़े फिल्म देखने के बजाय अपने प्रेम इज़हार में मशगूल हो जाते। फिल्म एक गायक आरजे की है, जिसके सर पर सफलता चढ़ गयी है। वह शराब पीने लगता है, झगड़ा मारपीट जिसका शगल है। वह शो बीच में छोड़ सकता है। एक बार में गाते हुए उसे एक लड़की मिलती है। जो उसी के गीत को उससे अच्छा गा रही है। वह लड़की आवाज़ से प्रभावित होता है और उसे गायिका के रूप में स्थापित करने का बीड़ा उठता है और बना भी देता है। दोनों एक दूसरे को प्यार करने लगते है। वह शादी करना चाहते हैं। पर एक आदमी की बात सुन कर कि वह उस लड़की का खाएगा, उसे शराब पीकर मारेगा, लड़की उसकी उल्टियाँ साफ करेगी, लड़का लड़की की ज़िंदगी से निकाल जाना चाहता है। लड़की लाख चाहती है कि वह पीना छोड़ दे और गाना फिर शुरू कर दे। लेकिन पता नहीं क्यों वह भकुवा लौंडा किस गम में डूबा है कि शराब पीना नहीं छोड़ता। ऐसे में, जब लड़की उसको नहीं छोड़ती तो लौंडा आत्महत्या कर लेता है।
पूरी फिल्म में हाल में बैठे लड़के लड़कियां एसी का मज़ा लेते हुए एक दूसरे में जूझे हुए थे, मैं सोच रहा था कि यह हमारे देश के युवा की कहानी है! यानि अगर वह सफल होगा तो शराब पीने लगेगा, अपने काम में कोताही बरतेगा। कोई प्यार और सहारा मांगे तो देगा नहीं आत्महत्या कर लेगा। अबे साले हिंदुस्तान के युवा! तू बलात्कार करने में तेज़ है, क्योंकि तुझे महेश भट्ट और मुकेश भट्ट जैसे निर्माता मिले हैं और मोहित सूरी जैसे भटके निर्देशक। शगुफ्ता रफीक से ही ऐसी कहानी की उम्मीद की जा सकती है, जो पूर्व बार डांसर थीं। उनकी सोच कुछ दूसरी नहीं हो सकती। उनके संसार के युवा ऐसे ही पलायनवादी होते होंगे।
इसलिए, कोई शक नहीं अगर हमारे देश के युवाओं को फिल्म पसंद आ जाए। कम से कम सिनेमहल में बैठ कर मेहबूबा के साथ इत्मीनान से रोमैन्स तो किया जा सकता है। क्यों कि सिनेमाघर के अंधेरे हम्माम में सभी नंगे ही तो बैठे होते हैं।
फिल्म में उभर कर आई है पुराने जमाने के विलेन शक्ति कपूर की बेटी श्रद्धा कपूर। वह खूबसूरत भी है और टेलेंटेड भी।

कहानी की बात करें तो राउडी राठोर के कहानी घिसी पिटी है। हमशक्ल पुलिस वाला और चोर की कहानी एक बार नहीं कई बार देखी सुनी गयी है। तेलुगू फिल्म vikramarkudu का रीमेक इस फिल्म की कहानी एक छोटे कस्बे के पुलिस वाले की है। जिसके आने के बाद एक छोटे मोटे गुंडे का आतंक खत्म हो जाता है। विजयेन्द्र प्रसाद और एन प्रकाश की लिखी इस फिल्म की पटकथा शिराज अहमद ने लिखी है। इस पटकथा में दम है। हर दृश्य नया सा लगता है। यहाँ तक की बार बार का देखा पुलिस वाला भी और उसकी खूबसूरत भारतीय परिवेश वाली प्रेमिका भी। फिल्म में एक्शन, कॉमेडी, नाच गाना और इमोशन को बड़े संतुलित तरीके से पिरोया है। अक्षय कुमार के होते हुए भी प्रभूदेवा ने उन्हे अक्षय कुमार नहीं बनाए दिया है। वह शिवा और इंस्पेक्टर विक्रम सिंह राठोर लगते हैं। एक्शन हैरतअंगेज हैं, लेकिन दहलाते नहीं। साजिद वाजिद ने मस्त संगीत दिया हैं, जो फिल्म के माहौल के अनुकूल है। खास तौर पर सोनाक्षी सिन्हा को अच्छे ठुमके लगाने को मिले है। इसके लिए फिल्म के तीन choreographers से ज़्यादा प्रभूदेवा की समझ ज्यादा जिम्मेदार है। उन्होने पुलिस और चोर की इस कहानी में विक्रम राठोर की बेटी के जरिये इमोशन पैदा किए हैं। प्रभूदेवा ने दबंग में एक छोटे विलेन सोनू सूद का उपयोग किया था। इस फिल्म में विलेन चेहरे जाने पहचाने नहीं। लेकिन प्रभूदेवा न उनके चेहरों के क्लोजअप के जरिये आतंक का माहौल बखूबी बनाए रखा है। अक्षय कुमार के टक्कर का विलेन देखने की ज़रूरत ही नहीं महसूस होती। फिल्म में गाड़ियों को जलाने के दृश्य रोहित शेट्टी की फिल्मों की याद दिलाते हैं, लेकिन प्रभूदेवा ने गाड़ियों को अपनी स्टाइल में जलाया है, दर्शक ज़बरदस्त तालियाँ बजाता है। संतोष ठुंडील का कैमरा एक्शन के रोमांच को आसमान पर पहुंचाता है, वही सोनाक्षी सिन्हा की खूबसूरती को उभारता है।
अक्षय कुमार इस प्रकार की भूमिका बहुत बार कर चुके हैं। राउडी राठोर में अक्षय ने इन दोनों भूमिकाओं को भिन्न रखा ही है, लाउड भी नहीं होने दिया है। उनके शरीर पर वर्दी कम रही है, लेकिन संवाद धुआंधार रहे हैं। उनकी कोमड़े जितना हँसाती हैं, एक्शन उतना ही रोमांचित करते हैं।
सोनाक्षी सिन्हा की दबंग के दो साल बाद दूसरी फिल्म रीलीज़ हुई है। वह बेहद खूबसूरत और शोख लगी हैं। उन्हे देखते हुए पुराने जमाने की अभिनेत्रियों की याद अनायास आ जाती हैं। उनमे अभिनय प्रतिभा भी है। वह जहां नज़ाकत दिखती हैं, वही इमोशन भी कर जाती हैं। उन्हे देख कर श्रीदेवी की याद आती रहती है। इसलिए नहीं कि वह श्रीदेवी की नकल कर रही थीं, बल्कि वह श्रीदेवी की तरह हरफनमौला अभिनेत्री साबित होती थीं।
नासर साउथ के बड़े विलेन हैं। हिन्दी फिल्मों में उन्हे कोई नहीं जानता। लेकिन वह अक्षय के सामने अपनी मौजूदगी दर्ज़ कराते हैं। जयंत गदेकर का क्लोजअप दर्शकों को खूंखार गुंडे की याद दिलाता है। परेश गणत्रा और काजल वशिष्ठ प्रभावित करते हैं। बाकी सब कलाकार अपने अपने रोल में ठीक ठाक हैं।
साजिद वाजिद का संगीत और समीर, फैज, शिराज और साजिद के गीत फिल्म को मनोरंजक बनाते हैं। मिका और वाजिद का गया चिंता ता चिता  चिता, धड़ंग ढंग ढंग, छमक छल्लों, आदि गीत फिल्म के बहाव को रोकते नहीं, टेंशन को रीलीज़ करने वाले हैं। संदीप चौटा ने कहानी के माहौल के अनुरूप पार्श्व संगीत दिया है। संजय संकला के कुशल सम्पादन के कारण फिल्म की लंबाई नियंत्रण में रही ही है, इसकी तेज़ी भी बरकरार रही है। एक्शन फिल्मों में एडिटिंग इंपोर्टेंट होती है।
फिल्म में अक्षय कुमार है, लेकिन यह केवल अक्षय कुमार की फिल्म नहीं। यह सोनाक्षी सिन्हा की फिल्म भी है और कम जाने पहचाने चेहरों की भी। क्यूंकी यह फिल्म प्रभूदेवा की है, जो जानते हैं कि दर्शकों के मनोरंजन के लिए बड़े चेहरे नहीं, पकड़ वाली पटकथा और निदेशक की दृष्टि होनी चाहिए।
गर्मियों की छुट्टियों में समय बिताने का अच्छा मसाला है राउडी राठोर।
