Bappi Lahiri heralds Holi festivities with Manju Bharti’s birthday

It was a dual celebration for Producer Manju Bharti as she brought in her birthday and Holi at the same time. Besides a colourful cake and sumptuous snacks, the evening was replete with music and Holi colours at Lahiri House in Juhu.

Said Bappi Lahiri, “It was a familial journey for us with Manju Bharti and Mukesh Bharti as after being their composer in Do Pal Pyaar Ke, I am now directing their next film, Ek Adhura Sangeet, that is produced by Manju Bharti and stars Mukesh Bharti opposite a leading Bollywood actress. The film will be a musical. Today’s celebration time and I am happy to be a part of the festivities.”

Added Manju Bharti and Mukesh J Bharti, “It is an honour and a privilege to be with dada. He has always been our pillar of strength and support. It is our honour and there can be no better blessing than to celebrate both, Birthday and Holi at the same time.”

Bappi Lahiri’s grandson, Swastik Bansal too joined in the celebrations and was seen enjoying with colourful balloons and buckets of water.

Mukesh Chhabra’s star-studded birthday bash

Mukesh Chhabra celebrated his 38th birthday by hosting a star-studded birthday bash at a plush restaurant on 26th May, 2018. 

Among the stars that dropped in to wish the birthday boy included superstar Salman Khan with Sohail Khan, Anil Kapoor, Kabir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Sidharth Malhotra,  Sunil Grover, Dino Morea and Chunky Pandey among others. 

While Salman made his presence felt and interacted with the crowd merrily, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao set the dance floor on fire. Anil Kapoor turned up and interacted with his Race 3 co-stars Bobby Deol and Saqib Saleem. Filmmakers Imtiaz Ali, Kabir Khan, Nitesh Tiwari, Ekta Kapoor and Krishika Lulla and cricketer Hardik Pandya were also spotted. 

Mukesh informs, “I loved it! It was a great night. Everybody showed up and I feel so grateful.”

Boney Kapoor turns 62 with musical fanfare

One of Bollywood’s most iconic leading ladies, Sridevi is also a loving wife. On Boney Kapoor’s 62nd birthday, the legendary actress flew to Chennai two days earlier, to decorate their residence in the city that served as a party venue and arranged for the producer’s favourite flowers, colours and dishes. Managing all the aspects of the celebration, the gorgeous actress showcased art she gathered from all over the world and had it set up for Boney. 

Informs Boney, “It was a special day thanks to my wife. We brought in the birthday with family on the night of November 10, followed by a lunch in the afternoon. In the evening, a group of around 30 close friends from Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai joined us and we partied till past 3 am.” 

Connoisseurs and aficionados of the film, entertainment and music industry were on the guest list, that included Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi, Gauri Shinde and R Balki, Kamal Haasan, Priyadarshan, AR Rahman with wife Saira, designer Manish Malhotra, Zee Entertainment honcho Punit Goenka, businessman Sanjay Reddy with wife Pinky Reddy, politician Amar Singh and Ravi Udyawar. 

The highlight of the party was a musical gathering that followed the celebration. Old songs were sung by seasoned writer and lyricist, Javed Akhtar and politician, Amar Singh. 

Adds the doting father, “My daughter Khushi’s birthday was on November 5 but unfortunately she was away on a school trip then. So we celebrated both birthdays and doubled our happiness.”

Select Media Holdings LLP Celebrates Sachin Pilgaonkar's 60th Birthday And Announced His Next Directorial Venture

Moving Pictures, a film production division of Select Media Holdings LLP, hosted veteran actor, director, singer and producer Sachin Pilgaonkar’s 60th birthday on August 17, 2017 with much fanfare at a grand event held in a five star hotel Mumbai.The special occasion was also marked by the official announcement of Sachin Pilgaonkar’s next directorial venture, a youthful love story, to be produced by his wife Supriya Pilgaonkar, Joe Rajan and Vajir Singh. 

It is after four-long -years that Sachin will return to direction. The film will feature, Sachin’s dear friend and late co-star Laxmikant Berde’s son – Abhinav Berde, who will be seen for the first time in a full-fledge role of a hero. The leading lady of the film is yet to be finalized. With this film Sachin adds another feather to his multifaceted cap as he will also score the music for the film. 

The event was graced by the who’s who of the Marathi and Hindi film fraternity, who came in to wish the actor-director for his birthday and also raise a toast for his new venture. Eminent personalities like Chief Minister Devendra Phadnavis Sachin Tendulkar and Raj Thackeray along with personalities such as Jaya Bachchan, Abbas Mastaan, Bappi Lahiri, Ashutosh Gowarikar, Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Ali Asghar, Sumeet Raghavan, Rajkumar Barjatya, Johnny Lever, etcwho too joined the celebrations and extended their best wishes to Pilgaonkar and the team.

Working Birthday for Aanand L Rai

One of the most successful filmmakers in the country today, Aanand L Rai, celebrated his birthday yesterday, doing what he loves most - making films ! Rai, who recently wrapped up the first schedule of his untitled next with Shah Rukh Khan , is neck deep in work , with his professional commitments both as a producer and a director.  

The filmmaker is busy with the prep of the next schedule of his ambitious film , that goes on floors in a few days at a suburban Mumbai studio. If that wasn't all, Rai is also busy with the release plans of his next two films – Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Newton. 

Says a source, " It was a working birthday for Aanand L Rai and knowing his love and passion for his work, he wouldn't have had it any other way. The filmmaker went for a private lunch with his team ,post which he was back in his office to work on his projects under his home banner Colour Yellow Productions.

Rishina Kandhari goes camping on birthday

Actor Rishina Kandhari celebrated her birthday in the lap of nature on Wednesday. The actor, who currently seen in Paperback films' (Ravindra Gautam and Pradeep Kumar's) Meri Durga on Star Plus, went camping like every year."Every year I plan my birthday in a quiet and green place. This year, too, I went camping and really enjoyed myself. We are partying all year round and I like to keep away from the hustle bustle of the city on my birthday," says Rishina.Talking about her birthday celebrations over the years, she says, "All my birthdays have been amazing so far. Last year, I got a car on my birthday as a gift and has been my favourite gift so far. I don't shoot on my birthdays anymore as I usually go outdoors. The last time I was shooting on my birthday was for Naa Aana Iss Des Laado, where I had given a party to the whole unit on the set. I want to buy a good canon camera and this year I splurged on it. I wait for my birthday every year as it brings a new year with new things to look forward to."

Pooja Hegde throws party for her hair stylist on his birthday

Pooja Hegde, who made her Bollywood debut with Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjo-Daro, pleasantly surprised her hair stylist Suhas Shinde by ordering a huge cake on his birthday.The gorgeous and talented actress who was shooting of her forthcoming Telugu film, DJ alongside Allu Arjun in Hyderabad, not just celebrated Suhas's birthday on her film set but also threw a party for him and and took her staff out for dinner.Pooja’s hair stylist Suhas has been working with her for some time now and on the occasion of his birthday, she decided to do something special and throw a party for him.

Munna Michael makers surprise Tiger Shroff on his birthday

It was a working birthday for Tiger Shroff who turned a year older on Thursday, March 2. The young star ring in his special day on the sets of his forthcoming film, Munna Michael, produced by Eros International and Viki Rajani and directed by Sabbir Khan. 

The Munna Michael team went a step further by ordering a massive chocolate cake for the birthday boy. Surrounded by crew members, Tiger blew out the candles and took a bite out of a delicious chocolate cake along with his sister Krishna Shroff (assistant director on the project), Viki Rajani and Sabbir Khan. 

Besides surprising the young star on his birthday, the makers have also planned to shoot an important sequence on a highway which was specially blocked for the shoot. 

Viki Rajani says, “We have shot a major action sequence on a highway which we have blocked specially for a particular scene. It was a really exerting day for Tiger but he was happy that we called a cake for him. It’s a regular shift and we finished shooting late in the evening.”

अरबाज़ खान ने अपना ४९ वां जन्मदिन अपनी आगामी फिल्म ये तो टू मच हो गया के निर्देशक अनवर खान और फिल्म के निर्माताओं निलय पाण्डेय और डी वियोला के साथ मुम्बई के महबूब स्टूडियो में केक काट कर मनाया।  एम ए एंटरटेनमेंट और ट्रिनिटी फिल्म्स की २ सितम्बर को रिलीज़ होने जा रही फिल्म ये तो टू मच हो गया में अरबाज़ खान के अलावा जिमी शेरगिल, पूजा चोपड़ा, ब्रूना अब्दुल्ला, मुरली शर्मा, ज़रीन वहाब और विजय पाटकर भी ख़ास भूमिका में हैं।
