DESIGNER ROHIT VERMA SHOWCASED GRAVE YARD COLLECTION AT INDIA LUXURY STYLE WEEK; SHOWSTOPPERS- ABHIMANYU SINGH & SHARAD KELKAR

"For India Luxury Style Week my collection is very different. The mood board is completely black and I am presenting a graveyard so the collection is very Gothic. It's unique with exciting cuts, lots of chains and I've played with lots of fabrics — nearly seven-eight fabrics like velvet, suiting materials, Lycra, jersey, denim and rugged fabrics, together. It's for the man who is experimental and the entire collection is based on the power of a soul even though I have named it 'Graveyard'. This is my second season with India Luxury Style Week and I'm very excited to be a part of this show. And, of course, I love to get so much love from Bengaluru, so I always get excited to be a part of this show. I will give my best shot and I will only expect their love" says Rohit K Verma about his collection at India Luxury Style Week. 

''Designing reflects my personality because I always create clothes according to the season and my mood; whatever comes in my mind I create it and I believe in unique cuts and different silhouettes. As a designer I have never struggled between creativity and wearability for the catwalk. I always keep wearability in my mind. My clothes are very different. I create garments for men who pull off a bold style, who make a statement" says Rohit K Verma,  an artistic contemporary designer whose enthusiasm for fashion design stemmed from the tender age of 12. As a teen, he was fascinated with couture, an ideal that motivated him to design handwoven garments for his mother and sister. There was no looking back since as his unique design aesthetic won him 'Youngest Achiever' In Asian Achievers Awards and 'Rashtriya Shakti Awards'

Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee's 'Despacito' ft. Justin Bieber // Spends Third Week at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

"Despacito," featuring Justin Bieber, rules for a third week, while "Shape of You" spends a record 20th week in the top five from its debut. 

Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito," featuring Justin Bieber, tops the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated June 10) for a third week. Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" becomes the first song to spend its first 20 weeks on the Hot 100 in the top five. 

"Despacito" (released on Universal Music Latino / Raymond Braun / SchoolBoy / Def Jam / UMLE / Republic Records) leads the Streaming Songs chart for a second week, with 65.4 million U.S. streams (up 10 percent) in the week ending May 25, according to Nielsen Music. It also rules the Digital Song Sales chart for a fourth week, with 137,000 downloads sold (up 19 percent) in the week ending May 25; the remix with Bieber, released April 17, accounts for 77 percent of the song's sales (up from 73 percent each of the two previous weeks). 

On Radio Songs, "Despacito" keeps at No. 7 with 88 million in all-format airplay audience (up 21 percent) in the week ending May 28, adding the Hot 100's top Airplay Gainer award for a second week. "Despacito," the first mostly-Spanish language Hot 100 No. 1 in 21 years (its title translates to "slowly" in English), tops the Hot Latin Songs chart for a 17th week.

‘डियर माया’ से मनीषा कोइराला का कमबैक

बॉलीवुड की प्रतिभाशाली अभिनेत्री मनीषा कोईराला एक लंबे गैप के बाद सिल्वर स्क्रीन पर वापसी कर रही हैं। नब्बे के दशक में एक से बढ़कर एक बेहतरीन फिल्मों का अहम हिस्सा रह चुकी मनीषा इसी हफ्ते रिलीज हो रही फिल्म ‘डियर माया’ के जरिये अपने प्रशंसकों के बीच दमदार उपस्थिति दिखाएंगी। अपनी इसी कमबैक फिल्म के प्रमोशन के सिलसिले में मनीषा डायरेक्टर सुनयना भटनागर, वेव सिनेमा के सीईओ राहुल मित्रा, प्रोड्यूसर संदीप लेजेल एवं शोभना यादव और फिल्म के कलाकार श्रेया चौधरी के साथ दिल्ली में मौजूद थीं।

बॉलीवुड में दुबारा वापसी के अनुभवों के बारे में पूछने पर मनीषा ने बताया कि इस वापसी में उन्हें कोई कठिनाई नहीं हुई, हां थोड़ी देर जरूर हुई। मनीषा ने कहा, दरअसल, लंबे अर्से से मैं अच्छी पटकथा का इंतजार कर रही थी। मैंने फैसला किया था कि मैं कुछ नया, अर्थपूर्ण और अलग करूंगी। जब इस फिल्म का प्रस्ताव मुझे मिला, तो लगा जैसे जिस चीज की मुझे प्रतीक्षा थी, वह पूरी हो रही है, क्योंकि इसकी पटकथा अद्भुत है। इसमें मनोरंजन के साथ सार्थक संदेश भी है। हालांकि, इस फिल्म में मैंने जो किरदार निभाया है, वह मेरे लिए बेहद चैलेंजिंग था, लेकिन सच कहूं तो एक कुशल डायरेक्टर कलाकार की हर मुश्किल को आसान कर देता है और सुनयना ने इस फिल्म में मेरे साथ यही किया। यह फिल्म एक अधेड़ उम्र की महिला के अकेलेपन और उम्मीद की कहानी है। वाकई आज मुझे ‘डियर माया’ का हिस्सा होने पर गर्व है। इस मौके पर वेव सिनेमा के सीईओ राहुल मित्रा ने कहा कि ‘डियर माया’ एक बेहतरीन फिल्म है और मुझे यकीन है कि हर कोई इस फिल्म को पसंद करेगा और इसका आनंद लेगा। मुझे इस फिल्म का निर्माण करने पर गर्व महसूस हो रहा है।

Milind Soman to launch Probir Sengupta's book Unclothed

Author/Writer Probir Sengupta who has been writing for various brands all through his career, has now started writing for himself and penned a book titled 'Unclothed'.  The debut book highlights about a fiction character Onniruddh Ray, a young guy, falls in love many times.  As Onni's story zigzags, he meets three people - a woman, a man and a young lady. All three play their roles in unclothing him. 

Published by Wordit Content Design & Editing Services the book is all set to launch by none other then the model/actor also known as the Ironman of India- Milind Soman. The launch will take place on 31st May, 2016 at Title Waves book store in Bandra and will be also attended by Mrs. Afsana Radheria, the Joint Honorary Secretary of the MSSI (Multiple Sclerosis Society of India). The Chief Guest of the event will be Mr. Hemant Nerurkar. Actor Milind Soman who is launching the book is known to be a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India group. 

Confirming the news, author Probir Sengupta says, " Yes, it is confirmed Milind Soman will be launching the book in the presence of our chief guest Mr. Hemant Nerukar. It is an honour to get associated with such high personalities and we are looking forward for a great evening. I am going to read few expects from the book and will be having a quick interaction with audience."

THE NEW BAWA IN B-TOWN

Often caricatured on celluloid, there’s more to the small but solid Parsi community than quirks and accent. And what we also forget is that quite a few of them have made an invaluable contribution to the Hindi film industry with their artistic vision and compelling talent. 

The new talent to enter the Bollywood industry, from this sweet small community, is Shreyas Porus Pardiwalla Alias Pardi (as known fondly in the industry now). Shreyas made his debut with the film ‘Yaariyaan’, which not only gave him rave reviews but also a chance to excel in the field in which he holds a degree. 

Currently doing a course in method acting from the Jeff Goldberg Studio, Shreyas is next going to be seen in ‘Sweetie Weds NRI’ and by the way what we have heard about his role, it is quite an interesting one with quite few fun shades to it.

स्ट्राँग वीमेन करैक्टर वाली थ्रिलर फिल्मों के राज खोसला

राज खोसला को थ्रिलर फिल्मों का महारथी निर्देशक माना जाता है।  लेकिन, उनकी फिल्मों के  महिला चरित्र काफी स्ट्रांग हुआ करते थे। उन्हें महिला चरित्रों को समझाने वाला डायरेक्टर माना जाता  था। फिल्म सीआईडी में वहीदा रहमान एक छोटे  वंपिश किरदार में थी।  यह वहीदा रहमान की पहली फिल्म थी।  होना तो यह चाहिए था कि वहीदा रहमान हिंदी फिल्मों की वैम्प बन जाती।  लेकिन, राज खोसला ने इस चरित्र को कुछ इतना स्ट्रांग लिखा था, करैक्टर की मज़बूरियों को कुछ इस प्रकार उभरा था  कि वहीदा रहमान हीरोइन पर भारी पड़ी। राज खोसला की अगली फिल्म सोलहवा साल में वहीदा रहमान देव आनंद की नायिका थी।  फिल्म की नायिका अपने प्रेमी के लिए घर छोड़ देती है।  पर उसका प्रेमी उसे छोड़ का भाग खड़ा होता है।  यह किरदार भी वहीदा के करियर पर भारी पड़ सकता था।  लेकिन, खोसला के विज़न ने इस नायिका को खल नायिका बनने से  बचा लिया।  राज खोसला ने थ्रिलर शैली में फ़िल्में बनाई।  मगर, इन सभी फिल्मों में नायिकाएं मज़बूत थी।  बॉम्बे का बाबू की सुचित्रा सेन, एक मुसाफिर, वह कौन थी और अनीता में साधना, मेरा साया, दो बदन, मेरा गाँव मेरा देश और चिराग की आशा पारेख और दो रास्ते और प्रेम कहानी की मुमताज़ के चरित्र अपने नायकों पर भारी नहीं पड़ते थे तो किसी भी प्रकार से कम नहीं थे ।  मैं तुलसी तेरे आँगन की ने नूतन को फिल्मफेयर में बेस्ट फिल्म एक्ट्रेस का अवार्ड जिताया।  राज खोसला इंडस्ट्री में पार्श्व गायक बनाने आये थे।  उन्होंने गुरु दत्त के सहायक के बतौर निर्देशन सीखा।  गुरु दत्त ने ही उन्हें स्वतंत्र रूप से निर्देशन का काम सौंपा।  देव आनंद और गीता बाली की फिल्म मिलाप उनकी पहली निर्देशित फिल्म थी, जो फ्लॉप हुई थी।  राज खोसला के थ्रिलर फिल्म बनाने की शैली बिलकुल भिन्न थी।  वह हर फिल्म में अपनी स्टाइल भिन्न कर देते थे।  उनका किसी शॉट को लेने लेने का तरीका काफी स्टाइलिस्ट हुआ करता था।  उनकी फिल्मों के गीतों के फिल्मांकन का तरीका बहुत प्रभावशाली था।  कोई भी गीत कहानी को आगे बढाने वाला हुआ करता था। यह उन्होंने गुरु दत्त से सीखा था।  राज खोसला का जन्म ३१ मई १९२५ को हुआ था।  उनकी मृत्यु ९ जून  १९९१ को हुई।

Hrithik Roshan launches the trailer of Vikram Phadnis’ Hrudayantar

Superstar Hrithik Roshan who will make his debut in Marathi film industry with Vikram Phadnis’ Hrudayantar, launched the trailer of the emotional drama. The superstar who plays a pivotal role in Vikram’s debut directorial venture is glad to be part of the movie and had also tweeted its release date on his social media last month. And this time too, he happily agreed to grace the trailer launch of the movie held at a suburban multiplex on Sunday.

When Vikram spoke to Hrithik regarding the trailer launch, he was happy to be part of the event. The popular designer-turned-filmmaker shares a great rapport with the superstar and their association goes back a long way.

Hrithik Roshan says, "I wouldn't have considered deviating from what I was doing in my life at the point in time when Vikram approached me. The film wouldn't have been possible without his incredible vision, clarity and passion. Hrudayantar is the heart of Vikram.  Thank you for the incredible experience and giving me the opportunity to work with some of the finest actors." 

Purvesh Sarnaik says, "When Vikram narrated me the title of the film I didn't bother to hear the script because the title itself is so strong and meaningful. I'm glad that international celebrities like Hrithik Roshan and Shiamak Davar are associated with the movie."

Edgy, Glamours and high on Fashion…Day 4 of the India Luxury Style Week was all this & more

Simple, yet edgy and a hint of glamour defined Day 4 of the India Luxury Style Week which was high on glitz, style and fashion. The evening started with designer Ambrose D’souza’s Wanderlust collection, popular brand Skechers then showcased the latest designs in footwear with showstopper & popular TV celeb Karishma Tanna. Ace designers like Aneesdeen, Vivek Karunakara & Rohit Kamra added magic to the ramp with their fresh, trendy and modern collections.. 

AMBROSE D’SOUZA

Designer Ambrose D’souza presented her collection ‘Wanderlust’, a stylish boho chic array of garments crafted with linen, cotton, silk and suiting fabrics, perfect for the man who loves to dress and loves to experiment. The looks were versatile, all about comfort and wearability, apt for both casual and semi formal meets and the quirky blazer collection added a formal feel too. Popular TV actor Manav Gohil walked the ramp for designer. 

SKECHERS

Launched in 1992, Skechers today stands tall as the second leading shoe brand and the product portfolio comprises of funky, casual, smart and functional shoes for men, women and kids. The brand launched its new range of Walking shoe, GOWALK 4, an extremely functional and stylish product line. 

ANEESDEEN

A designer & haute couturier from Mumbai, Aneesdeen is a designer of international fame and his creations are worn by popular global icons and celebrities at the most prestigious events across the world. His collection at the ILSW was chic and classy, that brings sophistication with minimum detailing. Playing with dark and neutral shades the garments were simple yet stylish & glamours. 

VIVEK KARUNAKARAN

Designer Vivek Karunakaran from Chennai is one the most sought after designers in the country, and his label, “Vivekkarunakaran” retails at the most prominent fashion stores across the country and has over the years, found its presence in select international cities too. A regular at all fashion weeks, he recently conceptualized and created a fashion collection for the Handloom Export Promotion Council of India, Ministry of Textiles and has also been styled eminent personalities from the world of Cinema, Music &

Disregarding the enduring compulsion to make a statement, each VK ensemble explores a modern vocabulary of design in wearable urban styles and it is this philosophy that reflected in his collection at ILSW too. The styling is minimal, honest with handcrafted finishes, re-focusing the attention on silhouette and form. Crowned with a hint of Bohemian touch that comes from a free spirited heart, the VK collection was gorgeous and edgy with a hint of understated Glamour. 

ROHIT KAMRA

From the sweltering summers to a Cool Monsoon...designer Rohit Kamra presented the Summer Resort look, perfectly blending with the pleasant weather and justifying the launch in Bengaluru. Epitomized by the favorite color palette of aqua blue, turquoise, royal blue which is set of with whites, along with, the must have colors of Crimson, Saffron, and Black set of with pastel Beige, a reference of Marble print all along validates Brand Jaipur. The silhouettes told a story of designers signature style. The must haves were the Young Bandhgalas, Trendy Slim fit Breeches, Sporty Riders, Open Neck Half Jackets and to complete the look of a Beach Wedding an array of Summer Sherwanis for the groom unfolded as a pleasant surprise.

Third Day of Day of India Luxury Style Week

Day 3 the the India Luxury Style week 2017 brought together illustrious designers, Sumit Das Gupta, Nasir Khan, Abhishek Dutta & Aslam Khan among others, showcase the high on style yet innovative menswear line. 

The evening started with royal Indian ensembles, gradually moving into more experimental designs inspired by the likes of a modern urban jungle and creating much drama and brilliance on the ramp. 

SUMIT DAS GUPTA

Keeping in mind the rich Indian culture & heritage, designer Sumit Das Gupta popular for his work with Indian craft and textile, presented a collection titled the 'Golden Heritage Of India' i.e. khadi. He brought alive handcrafted traditional fabrics deeply rooted in history, like khadi, silk, pure malmal, jute, raw silk and Varanasi brocade — embellished with zardosi, Ari, chikankari, gota, kantha and resham threadwork, along with intrinsic hand painted designs, block paint and tie n dye, to create an attractive menswear line for the IFSW. The designs were Indian Ethnic and every single outfit was a piece of art very smoothly woven with modern and royal lifestyle for men. 

CANADA CLOTHING COMPANY

Sophistication with an authentic edge is the inspiration behind this collection, presented by Canada Clothing Company, a group of professionals – fashion designers, stylists, local Canadian artisans, management consultants and engineers who believe that one’s clothing is a true representation of a self-made, successful individual.

Timeless classic suits combined with modish leather accents, one-of-a-kind Canadian accessories, and contemporarily chic prints and patterns, the collection is a statement of embracing individuality. Youthful yet refined, trendy yet classy…every design was distinct, refined and powerful. The color palette, transitioned from dark hues of burgundy and navy to softer shades of blue and white, and the pieces were a blend of Finest Australian merino wool, Irish linens, Egyptian cottons and highest quality wool-silk blends. 

NASIR KHAN

For ILSW, designer Nasir Khan’s collection inspired by his travels was a mix of colorful, detailed craftsmanship on constructed silhouettes, assembled by Indian artisans. It is for a man who can be classic and have an equally engaging, nomadic, carefree attitude.. a traveler, interested in art & culture, meeting new people, sharing his experiences with the world. The garments used camouflage with touches of Ikat in neutral hues, crafted mostly in light weight fabric with comfortable silhouettes perfect for a traveler & effortlessly fused sophisticated inspired European craftsmanship, minimal designs and understated glamour to create a new genre of bold and versatile range for a global citizen. 

ABHISHEK DUTTA

The finale of Day 3 transformed the ramp into an Urban jungle, as designer Abhishek Dutta presented a line inspired by the fight to survival – the life in a modern jungle, where, the stronger prevails over all.  This Fall Winter Collection is inspired from this urban jungle and was depicted through various forms of silhouette and motifs inspired from the wild. Hand-woven linens, dobby, canvas and linen denim were the key fabrics. Different textures layering and silhouettes were created by embroidery, appliques and digital print. Leather added an interesting element and designs included assymetrical bandhgala, bundhis, bomber jackets and kurtas.

With this collection, Abhishek also introduced a new Range of footwear and bags made out of leather and linen
