#G2 Set to Explode onto Screens on 1st May 2026

On the 7-year anniversary of Goodachari (2018), the makers of G2 amped up the excitement by unveiling power-packed first-look posters of Adivi Sesh, Emraan Hashmi, and Wamiqa Gabbi, while officially announcing the film’s release date — 1st May 2026.

 

The posters offer a striking glimpse into the high-octane, large-scale world of G2, a stylish spy thriller crafted for a global audience. With heightened stakes, grander vision, and an expanded cinematic canvas, the sequel promises to redefine the Indian spy genre on an international scale.

 

Speaking about the same, actor Adivi Sesh said,”G2 has been a journey we’ve lived and breathed for years. #PawanKalyan’s #OG to Hit Theatres Worldwide on 25th September, 2025!

 

The wait is finally over, and the excitement just got explosive! The makers of the highly-anticipated action spectacle OG, starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan, have officially announced the new worldwide release date. Mark your calendars — OG is all set for a grand global release on September 25th, 2025.

 

Directed by the dynamic Sujeeth OG promises a deadly blend of high-octane action, powerful performances, and a gripping storyline. The film stars Pawan Kalyan in a fierce avatar that fans have been eagerly waiting to witness on the big screen.

 

Adding to the excitement, OG marks Emraan Hashmi’s debut in the Telugu film industry, where he takes on the role of the film’s menacing antagonist. His intense face-off with Pawan Kalyan is set to be one of the film’s major highlights, raising anticipation levels even higher.

Emraan Hashmi to star in the Hindi remake of top grossing Malayalam horror film 'Ezra'

Emraan Hashmi has always proven his mettle as an actor and is known for choosing interesting films. The actor has recently been roped for Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak's Hindi remake of Prithviraj starrer horror film Ezra being produced by Panorama Studios. This is the second time Panorama Studios is remaking a Malayalam film, the first being Drishyam. Ezra is being directed by Jay Krishnan  who has directed the original Malayalam film as well.

The film will be shot in Mumbai and Mauritius. The casting of the female lead is underway.

An elated Emraan says, "Horror is a genre with immense potential, a well-made horror film will always draw audiences in huge numbers to cinema halls. With Ezra, we hope to push the boundaries further and give the audience an experience that they will never forget. I'm happy to be associating with Kumarji and Abhishek on this film and with Jay Krishnan at the helm of things all I can say is be prepared for one hell of a spooky ride.”

Producer Abhishek Pathak adds, "Ezra was a success story in Malayalam and a good story is always universal and hence we were convinced that it has the potential to appeal to the pan-India audience as it has a perfect blend of horror, story and emotion. With this remake, we look forward to work with Emraan for our third collaboration after Dil Toh Bacha Hai Ji and the untitled Amitji-Emraan film which is under-production."

Jay Krishnan who is all set to direct the Hindi remake states, "When Kumarji and Abhishek watched Ezra they were convinced that it needs to be retold to a wider audience and in a bigger canvas. The fresh approach to the horror genre showcased in Ezra was well received down south and the film was a blockbuster. I hope to push the envelope further with the backing of Panorama studios and the presence of an actor like Emraan Hashmi."

Hollywood stunt choreographer Dan Bradley approached for Emraan Hashmi's Captain Nawab

After a successful fourteen-year-old career in Bollywood, Emraan Hashmi has decided to dive into production with his next, Captain Nawab directed by Tony D'Souza. 

It’s learnt that a few months from now, the climax of the war drama will be shot in the snow-clad parts of our country, for which the makers have approached renowned Hollywood stunt choreographer Dan Bradley better known for films like Independence Day, Spider Man 2, Spider Man 3, The Bourne Supremacy, Superman Returns, Indiana Jones, Quantum of Solace and Mission: Impossible -Ghost Protocol among other blockbusters. 

Says director Tony D'Souza, “We're hopeful that Dan will give his nod to the project. He is very keen. He has an impressive repertoire. Ours is an action film which is anti-war. It's strange that we engage in wars to achieve peace. The film's climax will be shot in a snow clad location and since Dan has done war films before, his experience will come in handy while shooting the sequences.” 

Also, talking about the rise in the budget that roping in an international talent costs, the director adds, “Actually, most foreign technicians are eager to work here because of our content. Yes, roping in Dan will make our project costly, but the film needs him. We don't want to compromise on filming a crucial episode in our history just to save some money. We hope to start shooting by the end of September.”

‘AZHAR’ FILM PROMOTION IN DELHI

As the upcoming sports drama film ‘Azhar’ is coming close to its release, Actor Emraan Hashmi, Prachi Desai and former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin  along with films's director Tony D'Souza visited Delhi for the final leg of its promotions. In the time of biopics and documentaries, Balaji Motion Pictures is reintroducing, the once a cricket sensation Mohammad Azharuddin’s story with the film ‘Azhar’ directed by Tony D’Souza. The stars on Monday offered chadar at Nizamuddin’s Dargah and to pray for the success of their film.Emraan Hashmi who has done quite a films based on cricket before, said that he took up the offer of this film without reading the script.

When asked about his preparation for the film, the serial kisser said "There has been certain shots for which I had to struggle a lot but Azhar bhai was so helpful that most of the time he come down to train me with the technicalities" 

The 1986 Arjuna award winner, Mohammad Azharudding got trapped into the match-fixing scandal in the year 200 and was banned by BCCI for life. The ban later was lifted by Andhra Pradesh High Court. When asked about his banner having the names of those two cricketers he is not in good terms with, he said “I have a good relation with everyone. If someone else has a problem, then I am ready to solve and talk about it.“ He even called Navjot Singh Sidhu as his elder brother.  

The film also stars Prachi Desai essaying the role of Naureen, Azhar’s first wife where his second wife is portrayed by Nargis Fakhri.

Prachi Desai when asked about her comfort level with Emraan Hashmi said "Our chemistry is undeniably very good. No wonder why we have been paired so late. We should have been paired together way too early"

The film is slated to release on May 13th Worldwide.

Azhar visits the sets of SAB TV’s Badi Door Se Aaye Hai

Balaji Telefilms upcoming movie Azhar is on a promotional spree and was seen on the sets of SAB TV’s famous alien comedy show Badi Door Se Aaye Hain. The show which has been entertaining its viewers all these years will show the Ghotala’s learning some lessons on cricket from none other than Emraan Hashmi himself who will be seen enacting the role of the famous cricketer Azharuddin in his upcoming movie Azhar.

The Ghotala’s will be seen gearing up for an upcoming inter colony sports tournament where they will be seen practicing cricket and that’s where Emraan Hashmi will be seen making his entry in the show. The Ghotala’s being aliens and unaware of the game of cricket will be seen surrounded by all types of balls right from the seasonal cricket ball to the football to practice the game. But seeing them clueless of which ball they should use to play cricket, Emraan goes out to help them and teaches them the game.

When spoken to Rupali she mentioned,”It was great to have Emraan Hashmi on the sets of Badi Door Se Aaye Hain. We had a fun time shooting with him and it was a great experience. ”
