ऋषिता भट्ट की शक्ल पे मत जा

ऐतिहासिक फिल्म अशोका में शाह रुख खान की पत्नी देवी की भूमिका से फिल्मों में प्रवेश करने वाली और फिल्म शरारत में अभिषेक बच्चन की नायिका ऋषिता भट्ट अब फिल्म निर्माता बन गईं हैं। बतौर निर्माता उनकी फिल्म का नाम शक्ल पे मत जा है। कोई चालीस फिल्मों में नायिका सह नायिका बनाने वाली ऋषिता की पहली फिल्म चार लड़कों की कहानी है, जिनहे आतंकवादी होने के शक में पकड़ा जाता है। नए चेहरों वाली इस फिल्म में सौरभ शुक्ल, मुश्ताक़ खान, ज़ाकिर हुसैन और रघुबीर यादव जैसे अभिनयशील कलाकार भी है। इस फिल्म से पहली बार शुभ अभिनय और निर्देशन के क्षेत्र में कदम रख रहे हैं। इसी शुक्रवार रीलीज़ होने जा रही शक्ल पे मत जा अगर सफल हो गयी तो ऋषिता आगे भी फिल्में बनाती रहेंगी।

LATA MANGESHKAR TOBE GIVEN 2ND K.L SAIGAL AWARD

Living Legend of music, Bharat Ratna awarded, Lata Mangeshkarwill be awarded 2nd K.L Saigal award organized by Savitri VikasSamiti in Delhi. The award ceremony will be held at Siri Fort Auditorium. Theaward will be given by another legend of music industry Padma Bhushan, M.ZKhayyam. Anita Srivastav from the organizing team of‘Savitri Vikas Samiti’ also informed that other than Lata Ji the evening will see thepresence of awardees like Actor Jitendra, Prem Chopra, Ravindra Jain, SanjayKapoor, Penaz Masani, Jagjit Kaur, and Ravi & Late Sh. Surendra Kapoor. The82 year old will also be felicitated with lifetime achievement award along withhis brother Hridyanath Mangeshkar. Both of them will grace the award functionwith their presence.
The event will witness the musical program by Prem Bhatia& group. “I am glad to be able to organize this program; it is a magical eveningwith legends like Lata ji. K.L Saigal awards are given in memory of Saigalsahib and he will be remembered always” says Prem Bhatia. The awardceremony will be held on 17th Nov.

Tia Bajpai's shoot scare

ASA production’s forthcoming film Lanka is shot in a small town named Bijnor. The film has Manoj Bajpai, Arjan Bajwa & Tia Bajpai playing important roles in the film. The cast and the crew of the film surely faced a lot of difficulties while shooting for the film, as it was being shot in bijnor and the it's not exactly easy to shoot there. Then the director of the film, Maqbool Khan was setting up for an important shot with Tia near a local cinema hall, which was to be shot at night...He surely did not expect what unfolded that night.  " We set up to shoot i could the crowd increasing, but i didn't think that it will become so uncontrollable. When the crowd saw Tia sitting in the Jeep that we were shooting in, they all surrounded the jeep the minute i said action. And they started banging the car with their hands, " says the Director. "I was of course very scared. I didnt know what to do. But, Maqbool and the cast were quick to think. So they somehow managed to get through the crowd and escort me out. I was really freaked out," says Tia. "In fact earlier too, there was another film that was being shot there in the early 80's and a similar situation had happened then too...And at that time the cast/crew were hurt too...Luckily we were safe," says Maqbool.

Shiney Ahuja

The controversial ‘Bai commercial’ rolled out by MicromaxMobile, depicting Shiney Ahuja, has been withdrawn by the company after theactor initiated legal action, confirmed Shiney’s publicist Dale Bhagwagar.The said advertisement, which tried to take a humorous digat the Bollywood star out on bail, had infuriated the actor, who sent a legalnotice to the mobile company, claiming that the advertisement amounted towillful character assassination and contempt of court.The critically acclaimed actor best known for his filmsHazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Sins, Life In A Metro, Woh Lamhe, Bhool Bhulaiyaa andGangster, had to spend time in jail after being accused of raping his housemaid; a charge he has constantly denied.“As we know, Shiney had challenged his conviction and theMumbai High Court has admitted his appeal, which is currently pending hearing.For the mobile company to air such a commercial influencing public opinion whenShiney’s appeal is pending hearing, is equivalent to contempt of Court,” the actor’spublicist Dale Bhagwagar had said.
However, he confirmed that the mobile company had sent areply to Shiney’s notice, stating that the said commercial was withdrawn. Theactor is expected to be back in action with the release of his upcoming moviesEk Accident, Ghost, Chaloo Movie and Har Pall.

Drew Barrymore to Co-Host ‘The Essentials’ on TCM

A new season of Turner Classic Movies' Saturday evening salute to classic films, The Essentials, returns March 3, 2012 with a new co-host, Drew Barrymore. Barrymore will replace the outgoing Alec Baldwin to introduce classic movies alongside longtime host, Robert Osborne. The pair plan on introducing a mix of older classics and more contemporary films, including Dinner at Eight, which starred Drew's paternal grandfather John Barrymore (Grand Hotel, Twentieth Century) and grand-uncle Lionel Barrymore (It's a Wonderful Life). Other offerings this coming season will include To Have and Have Not with Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, Some Like It Hot with Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis and Marilyn Monroe, and The Third Man with Joseph Cotton and Orson Welles. Contemporary titles will include Martin Scorsese's Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, Steven Spielberg's sci-fi opus Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and former host Rob Reiner's hilarious mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap. ''I'm a TCM nut. I watch Robert Osborne every day of my life. To get to talk about classic cinema with such a brilliant man, I am simply in heaven," the 36-year-old, who was recently dubbed the most overpaid actor in Hollywood by Forbes, gushes about her new gig.
