Bappi da's albums tops Hollywood-Bollywood as he heralds birthday!

 When disco king Bappi Lahiri composed an album  Walking On Love Street, an ode to Chitrani, Lahiri – his wife who has walked the path of life with him, it was an emotional moment. But now, the jazz album is on CMJ's Top 5 New World Adds Chart  #1224 of CMJ's New Music Report Magazine and Chartbound on the Jazz Week World Chart and WONY Oneonta, New York - Top Ten Jazz Playlist - Week as well. And what is more, it is being played on 38 radio stations in so little time and  the record is regularly being played in hotels, airplanes and stores! This at the same time when Bappi Lahiri’s Ooh La La for Dirty Picture is on top of every chart in India.
Incidentally, in Walking On Love Street, penned by both Bappi da and Diana Williams from Los Angeles, Bappi Lahiri has given break to American Idol Shaun Barrows. The album was recorded at Rusk Studios, Hollywood. The acoustics including sitar, flute and santoor were mostly recorded in India with Bappi da himself playing the tabla and five-time Grammy nominee Jeff Lorber on the keyboards, Doron Zor on the guitars.

 Could there be a better way to herald Bappi da’s birthday on Nov 27 than with the chartbusters! Says Bappi Lahiri, “after giving 462 films including Golmaal 3 and Ragini MMS and awaiting Dirty Picture, I am very elated that my songs are top of the charts in both Bollywood and Hollywood. I would term it God’s blessings at it is all at the same time as my birthday.” 

Will Pooja Misrra's exit affect Bigg Boss TRPs?

 With Pooja Misrra, the soul of Bigg Boss 5, out of the Housefor an alleged assault on co-contestant Siddharth Bhardwaj, one wonders if the shockingdevelopment will hamper the TRPs of India’s biggest reality show on Colors. 
Pooja Missra, who was considered to be the best entertainerof this year’s season, was apparently removed (‘aapko nishkasit karte hai’ – asBigg Boss would say) for physically pushing Siddharth Bhardwaj on the show.Siddharth, who is the winner of an earlier reality show Splitsvilla, isreported to have blown the situation out of proportion and demanded her exit,after which Bigg Boss decided to show Pooja the door. 
One of the many rules to be followed strictly by all thecontestants is to never attack anyone physically. Pooja Misrra, the rebel ofthe house and the House Captain for the week, was surrounded by controversiesgalore right from day one on Bigg Boss.

 Initially targeted by Pooja Bedi, she was made the butt ofmany jokes, after which she shot back and fought her way tooth and nail witheach and every contestant of the show. Millions of viewers identified with herarguments, realizing her plight and urge for space, resulting in Poojasurviving the maximum number of evictions on the show with a huge margin ofpublic votes. So much so, that most Housemates found her unstoppable and indomitable.About the evictions, they often said, “Joh bhi usske saamne aata hai, udd jaatahai!” (“Whoever gets nominated opposite Pooja, gets evicted!”) 
So exciting were her moves and antics for the audiences thatBrand Pooja Misrra fast emerged the biggest puller of eyeballs this season,attracting huge TRPs for the show.

“Pooja is a simpleton and a baby at heart, who, if rubbedthe wrong way, can transform herself into a ferocious tigress within ananosecond. Nothing would be the same without her,” lamented celebrity PR DaleBhagwagar, a Bigg Boss specialist, who Pooja had elaborately consulted beforeentering Bigg Boss and who has also been labeled her ‘guerrilla publicist’ eversince. 
Earlier, Bhagwagar has handled the media for maximum number ofcontroversial celebrities on reality shows including Shilpa Shetty (BigBrother), Ashmit Patel, Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sherlyn Chopra, DianaHayden (Bigg Boss) and is officially handling Amar Upadhyay during Season 5. 
Pooja Misrra’s most famous comment on the show has been “Spareme”. Now it remains to be seen whether Bigg Boss will ‘spare’ her this time andlet her enter the House again as a Wild Card Entry!

Aadesh Shrivastava Launches Sound Of Peace Music Album On 26/11 Third Anniversary

  Paying tribute to the victims of terror attacks across planet earth, celebrated music composer Aadesh Shrivastava launched a music album titled “Sound Of Peace” on the third anniversary of 26/11 in Cinemax, Mumbai today. The evening comprised of an act of admiration and felicitation as ACP Narsima Sherkhane of Maharashtra Police Force was handed over a cheque amounting to Rs. 10 lakhs for the profound courage and unconditional commitment extended by the police force during the 26/11.  Other personalities on the dais included legendary actor Shri Amitabh Bachchan, classical maestro Ustad Rashid Khan and Netsurf Entertainment, Managing Director Mr. Sujit Jain who all came together to patronize this concept and commenced the journey towards perpetual peace and harmony.

 Sound Of Peace is a solicitous music album with 10 songs that pays homage to people who lost their lives  fighting terrorism and protecting the nation featuring innovative compositions by international artists like Amitabh Bachchan, Akon, Ustad Rashid Khan, Wyclef Jean, Shaan, Roopkumar Rathod, Pamela Lajoie, Vijayta, and London Philharmonic Orchestra amongst others. The album also features Avinesh and Avitesh, sons of Aadesh Shrivastava, who make their first public appearance on the big screen.
Speaking from across the globe Wyclef Jean said, "Aadesh is a musical genius, working with him is always a pleasure. With the natural disaster in Haiti and terrorist attacks world wide, this is the least we can do to support this cause" 

Elaborating further, Shri Amitabh Bachchan said, “ Kehte hain jahan achhai hoti hai wahan burai ka bhi saaya hota hai, lekin burai kitna bhi lad jhagad le anth mein sirf achhai ka palda bhari hota hai. Sonakshi, Kangna, Charmee, Richa Gangopadhy​ay, Sameera Reddy Shoot for Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) calendar

Hot Sexy Sirens Sonakshi Sinha, Kangna Ranaut, Charmee, Richa Gangopadhyay, and Sameera Reddy are busy posing for sizzling pictures that promise to capture their curves, against the backdrop of exotic Goan beaches and other tourist spots, for the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) calendar.
This picture-perfect calendar will be included in the promotional blitz to be unleashed by the CCL to generate a buzz for their second season to be held in Sharjah. With Sonakshi and Kangna being brand ambassadors for Mumbai Heroes; Charmee, Sameera and Richa will be ambassadors for the Telugu, Tamil and Kannada teams. “We have roped in actresses who are equally popular in the Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film industries and no doubt, this calendar is going to be too hot to handle,” says a source from the Telugu team.
Salman Khan has already announced that Mumbai Heroes would bounce back in Season 2, at the CCL launch in Dubai. It seems that tempers are heating prior to the tournament in Sharjah Cricket Stadium (January 13 to January 14), and viewers will now have to fasten up their seat belts for an exciting T-20 tourney that promises glitz and glam.
“I’ll be there just for a day to pose for some pictures and the calendar is really going to sizzle with so many hot babes, I bet. After all, Venkatram, one of my favourite photographers is shooting it,” says Charmee. She adds that there is no possibility of rubbing shoulders with other actresses like Sonakshi and Kangna, since, “All the girls are shooting individually, so unfortunately, I won’t get to interact with any of them.”
Kangnajoins Sonakshi Sinha and Genelia D’souza as Salman Khan’s entourage of brandambassadors for his brother Sohail Khan’s celebrity cricket team Mumbai Heroes.
However, her inclusion comes as a surprise as she seems clueless about the gameor any kind of sport. She earnestly says, “To be honest, I don’t know muchabout cricket. I was a science student, so I never got much time to play. I’mhere to support my friends who are playing for the team,” she says.
However, she is enthusiastic about endorsing the team and says she will cheerfor them. “I will dance on Salman’s Mein Karu Toh Sala Character Dheela Haifrom the movie Ready and Saadi Gali from Tanu Weds Manu,” she says.
While the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) had a good run last year, MumbaiHeroes didn’t win any matches. The team’s captain Suniel Shetty informs, “CCLis now a bigger franchise and will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium,UAE on January 13.
Mumbai Heroes is slated to play two games there after the opening ceremony.”The brand ambassadors will be present in Sharjah for these matches.
The other teams include Chennai Rhinos lead by South superstar Surya, KarnatakaBulldozers by Kiccha Sudeep and Telugu Warriors under captain Venkatesh leads,with an addition of two new teams — Kerala Strikers co-owned by National Awardwinner Mohanlal, director Priyadarshan and (his wife) Lizzy, and Bengal Tigersowned by Boney Kapoor and Sridevi.
Salman’s team line-up is impressive and includes Riteish Deshmukh, AftabShivdasani, Sonu Sood, Mahesh Manjrekar and Apoorva Lakhia among other teammembers.

The Desi Boyz create a frenzy the nation ove

Eros International’s Desi Boyz cooked up a storm as they kicked off their Desi Tours.
Close to its release, the team of the “dramedy” visited Indore,Delhi,Chandigarh,Bangalore and Pune to promote the film at a pan-India level and were overwhelmed with the crowd turnout – As barractions were broken at Inorbit Mall,Pune and Forum Mall,Bangalore ,the madness didn’t stop there as 13,000 fans flocked up Malhar in Indore that’s holds a capacity of only 7000.The Desi Fever then hit Delhi ‘s IIPM campus and DLF Mall. Following that up with Chandigarh where huge crowds gathered in an open ground to catch a glimpse of the Desi Boyz given the lack of space indoors.

In fact so out of control had the scenario become that security was upped ,given the unprecedented mass reaction that took the team by surprise. 
Says a source “It was madness as Desi Boyz is all you could see and hear and Akshay and John 's female fans were overjoyed.It was sheer chaos, the actors were mobbed and security had to be upped since the crowds were getting uncontrollable ”
