One of the world’s most popular characters is back on the big screen as a new chapter in the Spider-Man legacy is revealed in The Amazing Spider-Man™.  Focusing on an untold story that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story, the new film stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, with Martin Sheen and Sally Field.  The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt, based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.  Laura Ziskin, Avi Arad, and Matt Tolmach are producing the film in association with Marvel Entertainment for Columbia Pictures, which will open in theaters everywhere in 3D on July 3, 2012.
The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field).  Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today.  Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets.  As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father’s former partner.  As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

SHINEYAHUJA ADDRESSED THE MEDIA IN THE CAPITAL TO PROMOTE HIS FILM ‘GHOST’

Thestar cast of the film ‘ghost’ addressed the media at a recently held pressconference of the film in Delhi. After wading through troubled times, actorShiney Ahuja is back in fray with his latest film "Ghost". The actoralong with co-star Julia Bliss was in the capital to inaugurate a beauty salonwhere they interacted with the media persons.
Thehorror film, produced by Bharat Shah and Puja Jatinder Bedi also stars SayaliBhagat in the main lead. The film revolves around the cityhospital as it witnesses a chain of blood curdling, chilling murders and uncannyhappenings at the hospital."Thestory of 'Ghost' is totally different. Although it's a horror film, it's a verygood love story. The film just got released yesterday and we are hoping thatit’ll do well and the audience will appreciate are work” said Shiney at thelaunch of the store in Lajpat Nagar.

KATE BECKINSALE FINDS BEING AN ACTION GIRL WEIRD

Kate Beckinsale who plays the warrior Selene in the Underworld series of films said she took the part to prove to herself that she could pull it off. “I was sort of frustrated at finding that every time I went for a movie where the character was a cop or something, they’d say, ‘Well she’s very soft and British… We sort of think of her more in a period movie.’”
But she never expected that it would go so far. Underworld: Awakening is the fourth in the series and the third movie starring Kate. “For me it was an experiment to see if anyone including myself would actually buy me doing this stuff. So the thought of it going on to two, three, or four films, was very much contingent on whether or not it worked. And I certainly didn’t think it would become one of the things that was most associated with me, because it was probably the movie I did that was the most far removed from myself.” 
She also feels that her role in Underworld changed her career. “I was, what, 28, when I did it?  And I’d been solidly working for a good ten years before that. Now all of a sudden you’re ‘action girl’. I had to fight so hard to actually be in Underworld. Then, suddenly, I was so bought as that character it was almost like the other stuff never happened. It did open up an awful lot of stuff to me that had not been available to me before, so I was very grateful for that. But it’s strange to become much more famous for something that’s so far away from your sensibility. It’s not bad. It’s just weird.”

Don 2 topremier at the BERLINALE

ExcelEntertainment’s DON 2 will be premiering in Germany at the Berlinale, with adubbed theatrical release simultaneously in mainstream theatres.  Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, FarhanAkhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani will be attending the premier, which is scheduled onthe 11th of February 2012 at 9.30p.m.
Besides the German release the film will also be releasing inRussia, Turkey, Israel, France, China and Korea.
