Iqbal Sharma’s wife Tarina Patel has acted in several Bollywood films

The South African entrepreneur who got into the infamous brawl with the Agent Vinod actor says he doesn’t watch Hindi films and had no clue about Saif Ali Khan’s celebrity status. Amusing, coming from the man whose wife herself has been acting in Bollywood films
Iqbal Meer Sharma, the south African businessman who has been in the news for being allegedly assaulted by Saif Ali Khan at the Taj hotel in Mumbai, claims that he was not aware of Saif Ali Khan’s celebrity status and would not recognise the star if he had walked past him on the street. Now we had almost bought this claim of his, but what got us suspicious was the glitzy portfolio of Iqbal’s wife Tarina Patel who was there at the restaurant when the ugly spat broke out. Tarina has acted in several Bollywood films including Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Dhol and Dus Kahaniyaan. So, isn’t it hard to digest that her NRI husband did not know who Saif Ali Khan was?
Iqbal claims that he has not seen a single Bollywood film in the last 20 years and apparently watched only those his wife has acted in. It is believable that Sharma has very little connection with showbiz, but when he was having dinner with his starlet wife at Wasabi, didn’t Tarina update her hubby on the celebs sitting on the table right next to them? Referring to Kareena Kapoor, Malaika Arora Khan and Amrita Arora, Iqbal says he doesn’t even know who the girls were. The man is now sorry that his wife’s career might suffer for the fight he picked up with the Nawab of Pataudi. Really, was there even a career? Wethinks it might actually get Tarina noticed a bit! Take a look at her pics and tell us what you think.

Afterchikni chameli of Katrina Kaif and Munni of Malaika Arora Khan, Brazilianactress Giselli Monteiro of Love Aj Kal and Always Kabhi Kabhi fame is veryexcited about her nautanki item dance nautanki queen hoon india se aayee hoonher forthcoming Sandeep Kapur produced film Pranam Walekum. She plans to outdoall the previous dance numbers done so far and carry more zing, energy andsexier moves into her dance. Coming back to shoot after a two months longholiday in Brazil, she has straight away plunged into rehearsals for the dance.According to the producer Sandeep she is playing the role of a nautankiwali inthe film and to be the best she is rehearsing almost for 18 hours a day sincelast 10 days. “She is one dedicated girl. Although she dances well but to do anautanki item number as a nautankiwali her moves have to be more earthy andindianised. Then this dance is for the film and has to fit into the independentcharms of the storyline. So she is putting her heart and soul into it. Shewants to outshine all the item numbers done till date in the industry and theway she understands and imbibing the steps, emotions and expressions into hermoves is amazing. It will be one helluva of a dance.”

After Jacqueline Fernandez, it’s Gamya Wijayadasa!

Sri Lankan beauty Gamya is all set to make her Bollywood debut, but she makes it very clear that she doesn’t expect any help from compatriot Jacqueline to boost her career
Miss Sri Lanka 2009 Gamya Wijayadasa will make an entry into Bollywood with an item number called Chadhti jawaani. Directed by Manish Manikpuri, the film is titled Alaap and is based on Naxalism in Chattisgarh. Ironically, the new babe doesn’t know a word of Hindi and, when she was approached for the song, she agreed to perform to the number instantly. Despite the fact that she didn’t understand the lyrics or the concept of the song, it seems the actor managed to pull off the rustic dance moves pretty well. The item song is composed by Agnee, a rock band known for soulful compositions. The song has been shot in Raipur and the film stars Pitobash, Rituparna Sengupta, Amit Purohit and Raghuvir Yadav.
Although we wait to see if she can match steps with beauties like Katrina Kaif and Malaika Arora Khan, who have already created waves with their seductive dance moves, the bad news is that Gamya also has Vidya Balan and Kareena Kapoor as competition, both stars being fairly new entrants in the shake-your-booty battleground.
