Kahanii Holi Kii on Comedy Circus this weekend










It's that time of the year again when colors of Holi will jazz up the sets of Comedy Circus! The festival of colors will be celebrated on Kahanii Comedy Circus Kii  with full gusto and enthusiasm and  this time a constellation of TV personalities from Sony Entertainment Television will add sparkle to the celebrations.
The leads from all  SONY shows on will make their presence felt on the show either by putting up astonishing dance performances or by tickling your funny bone through their rib-tickling acts. Be it Shweta Tiwari from Parvarrish... Kuch Khattee Kuch Meethi, Kritika Kamra from Kuch Toh Log Kahenge), Eijaz Khan from SONY’s latest offering Shubh Vivaah, Aishwarya Sakhuja  from Saas Bina Sasuraal, Priyal Gor from Dekha Ek Khwaab or Anoop Soni from Crime Patrol) , everyone is set to rock your television screens. That’s not all, the biggest of surprises of this special celebration will be Ram Kapoor! The audience will be in for a sweet surprise when they will see their beloved ‘Ram Kapoor’ from Bade Achhe Lagte Hain donning the host’s cap! Yes, Ram Kapoor will co-host the series, alongside show host Shruti Seth.    
The celebration of Holi will be telecast in not just one but dual episodes to add that extra dosage of fun, mirth and giggle to your weekends.  Catch Kapil & Sudesh perform a special act pretending as if they are under the influence of bhang ! Kapil & Sudesh will talk about SONY actors coming to Comedy Circus for the Holi special. Kapil will take a quick dig at judge Archana Puran Singh by requesting Sudesh to keep some bhang for her as well. Siddhartha and Bharti on the other hand will present an funny act by  entering  the stage physically attached and dancing on the song ‘ Hum Dono Hai Alaag Alaag’ . Both will be extremely happy to see Dr. Nidhi on the sets  and will request her to help and detach them.  ‘Monia’ of Dekha Ek Khwaab will too be joining the fun by making a special entry with  Krishna and Sudesh on the song “Holi K Din Dil Khil Jaate Hai’ . Priyal will be then asked to leave immediately as both  Krishna & Sudesh would not want to mingle with a gal who comes from  a ’Chawl’. Everyone’s favorite inspector ‘Daya’ from CID will not be left behind! Daya will put up an outstanding dance performance along with Bharti, Suhashi & Krishna.  Aishwariya on the other will play the an old mommy to Kapil & Sumona in a standup comedy act.

Nana turns superchef on the Priyan’ssets!

Nana Patekarhas actually taken on the mantle of a superchef to see to it that the actors ofPriyadarshan’s comic caper Malamaal Weekly 2, produced by Percept Pictures,starring Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Nana Patekar, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas Talpade,Asrani and Shakti Kapoor among others have a taste of the traditional fishdishes, straight out of his mother’s recipe book.
Havinglearnt the traditional recipe of the mouth-watering dishes, powered by hismother’s traditional masala comprising of over 42 ingredients, Nana ensuresthat the fish is fresh out of the lake on the banks of which the shoot of thefilm is on.
A special mud kiln has been made and the fish is first marinated in 42masala-mixture and wrapped in leaves and tied up to keep the masala in place.Nana then, gets the fish covered by wet mud so that the fish is now in twolayers.
Next comes the laying of the fish without disturbing the mud and leafcovering and then wood and leaves and dry grass is used a fuel.
“It takes over four hours for the fish to get perfectly cooked,”elaborates Nana. “But the fish tastes heavenly.”
Considering that most of the crew members actually stand next to Nanafrom 30 minutes of the cooking process, plate and bowl in hand, one surelyunderstands the kind of cooking that Nana is being famous for on the sets ofthe film.
What is interesting is that contrary to Nana’s jovial and easygoingpersonality, the character in the film is such that Nana hardly speaks a wordand uses his stone-faced expressions to walk off with the scene that generallyhas actors of the ilk of Om Puri and Shreyas Talpade among others.
Says producerShailendra Singh, “we wanted to look beyond the star culture, to look at aleague of extraordinary gentlemen, extraordinary actors, who would bring theirown flavour and add value to the script and I think, we have come up with theperfect cast.”
Nana Patekarfeels that it is Priyan’s spirit that makes the vital difference.  “Priyan and I, we had planned so many films,but it feels so good when one film happens. More than anything else, I love toact and leave the rest to my director. That is what happens with Priyan,” enthusesNana.
May be, itis this confidence in  the director thatactually lets Nana take the load off his mind to keep the unit in high spiritswith this unique sense of humour and to dish out extraordinary fare that keepsthe unit of the Priyan comic caper going!
Catching up with Priyan tucking into delicious food, we manage to ask a question...“So who is the romantic lead opposite Nana?” Priyan grins, “Nana doesn’t need awoman in this film. He has me for the romantic angle!”
True, with a director likePriyan and actors of the calibre of Nana, one really needs no woman to followformulae. And no fortune teller to let you know how malamaal the film will beat the weekly boxoffice. Wot say!

Wrath Of The Titans to release on 30th March

Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson star once again as gods at war in “Wrath of the Titans,” under the direction of Jonathan Liebesman.
A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus (Worthington) —the demigod son of Zeus (Neeson)—is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius.
                Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans.  Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades (Fiennes) and Poseidon (Danny Huston).  The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld.
                Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus’ godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramírez), switch loyalties and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus.  The Titans’ strength grows stronger as Zeus’ remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth.
                Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon’s demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind. 
Jonathan Liebesman (“Battle: Los Angeles”) directs the film from a screenplay by Dan Mazeau & David Leslie Johnson, story Greg Berlanti & David Leslie Johnson & Dan Mazeau, based on characters created by Beverley Cross.
The film is produced by Basil Iwanyk (“The Town”), who also produced the previous “Clash of the Titans,” and Polly Cohen Johnsen (“Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore”).  The executive producers are Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, William Fay, Callum McDougall, Kevin De La Noy and Louis Leterrier.
            Sam Worthington (“Avatar”) and Academy Award® nominees Ralph Fiennes (“The English Patient,” the “Harry Potter” films) and Liam Neeson (“Schindler’s List,” “Unknown”) lead the international cast, which also includes Danny Huston (“Robin Hood”), Edgar Ramírez (“The Bourne Ultimatum,” TV miniseries “Carlos”), Bill Nighy (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1”), Toby Kebbell (“Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time”) and Rosamund Pike (“Barney’s Version”).
The behind-the-scenes team bringing this mythical epic to life includes director of photography Ben Davis (“The Rite,” “Kick Ass”); production designer Charles Wood (“The Italian Job,” “The A-Team”); Academy Award®-winning editor Martin Walsh (“Chicago,” “V for Vendetta”); and costume designer Jany Temime (the “Harry Potter” films).  “Clash of the Titans 2” also reunites several talents from the previous film, including Oscar®-nominated visual effects supervisor Nick Davis (“The Dark Knight,”); Oscar®-nominated prosthetics supervisor Conor O’Sullivan (“The Dark Knight,” “Saving Private Ryan”); and Academy Award®-winning special effects and animatronics supervisor Neil Corbould (“Gladiator”).  Also on board are Oscar®-nominated makeup designer Paul Engelen (“Frankenstein,” “Robin Hood”) and hair designer Kevin Alexander (“Robin Hood,” “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”). 
A Warner Bros. Pictures presentation, in association with Legendary Pictures, a Thunder Road Film,“Wrath of the Titans” is being co-produced by Furia de Titanes II, A.I.E. and COTT Productions and will be distributed in 3D and 2D worldwide by Warner Bros. Entertainment Companies.
