VJ-turned-​actor Ayushmann takes beauty lessons for Vicky Donor

A lot is saidabout actors getting under the skin of their characters but VJ and Roadieswinner Ayushmann Khurrana did just that in quite the literal sense for hisforthcoming film John Abraham’s Vicky Donor.
The comedy that takes a light hearted look at the taboo attached to infertility andartificial insemination sees Ayushmann aka Vicky play a donor cum beautician,for which the actor had to train in local parlours for his role. 
Confirms a source“In the film Ayushmann plays the son of a ladywho owns a parlor and who doubles as a beautician when not on donor duty. Toget the hang of it Ayushmann trained under beauticians for the role, learning abasic beauty course –threading, manicure, pedicure et al.” 
Directed by Shoojit Sircar the film marks the acting debut of VJ turned actor Ayushmann Khurrana ,whoplays a Punjabi cricket player cum sperm donor in love with a Bengali girl,played by television actress Yami Gautam. 
Produced by John Abraham,  ErosInternational’s contemporary comedy Vicky Donor starring comes to a theatre near youApril 20th,2012.

Priyanka has been chosen to perform at IPL opening ceremony

IPL over the years has become a huge attraction. And on April 4 in Chennai, Priyanka Chopra is going flag off the opening ceremony by a special performance.
Sources close to IPL say "we were very keen to only have Priyanka Chopra as the performer. Further adds that amongst all performances across various awards its Priyanka's acts that have generated maximum trps and that has been very obvious in repeat runs too. One of the reasons why Priyanka is emerging as one of the favourite on stage performers because she puts in a lot on her rehearsals  and she has a natural flair for on stage performances. She is also a versatile performer and a great dancer which is what on stage performances require.
Priyanka Chopra this year has performed on Screen, Filmfare, Big Star and now Balaji. And her act has been garnering huge response.
Priyanka Chopra is going through the most hectic shooting time where she is juggling three big films. She has been working on Anurag Basu's Barfi, Hrithik Roshan's Krissh 3 and Kunal Kohli's next with Shahid Kapoor.

Farah Khan joins the esteemed panel of “Women Changing India”- Barnard College’s Fourth Annual Global Symposium

Adding another feather to her hat, choreographer /director Farah Khan joined the esteemed panel of “Women Changing India” - Barnard College of Columbia University’s Fourth Global Symposium, wherein preeminent women in the country and region-leaders in government, commerce, media and arts shared their success stories and unique perspectives on how they continue to shape and develop India. 
Farah Khan joined the likes of other honoraries like reformer and India’s first woman police officer Kiran Bedi ,Teach India founder Shaheen Mistri,Shahnaz Husain – Chairperson ,the Shahnaz Husain Group, Mirai Chatterjee–Director of Social Security at SEWA all who were part of the Barnard University’s “Women Changing India” Symposium. 
The program featured panels on social activism,entrepreneurship and arts .Farah Khan who joined the second panel titled “Voices of the Region” along with panel members Nandita Das (actress and activist),Brinda Somaya (architect and conservationist ) and Mallika Kapur (CNN's International Correspondent ) spoke at length about the essence of Indian culture in the media, how she aims to strike a balance between her individual perspective and thoughts that influence followers –

Also starring Neha Dhupia and Sagarika Ghatge,the film revived by Percept Picture Company and creative director Priyanka Desai sees Hashmi play the charismatic and investigative journalist Sam who plunges into a vortex of violence in a deadly engineered game of cat and mouse .
Talking about the film says Emraan Hashmi “I was blown away by Shamin’s script.Its a film I’m very excited about and something I’ve never done before. I found a journalist's life tough. I play an investigative crime journo in a news channel”. 
The thorough professional that he is, Emraan Hashmi also went out of his way to accommodate the film without inconveniencing the team post the tragic loss of the director. 
Confirms producer Shailendra Singh ,Percept “Emraan has gone out of his way to accommodate the film, purely out of sentimental reasons. We all wanted Shamin Desai's dream to come true. Emraan was really shy about accepting the trophy. He felt he was not worthy of it. But we disagree."
