ROZLYN KHAN TO BATHE IN 'BLOOD' INPUBLIC TO PROTEST COSMETICS TESTING ON ANIMALS

Sitting in a bathtub filled with blood-red water next to a backdrop thatreads, "Don't Buy While Animals Die. Choose Cruelty-Free Cosmetics",Rozlyn Khan – the captivatingGladrags model who can be seen in the upcoming film Dhamaal Chowkadi – will appear at theCaptain's Deck of the Bombay Presidency Radio Club Ltd on Monday. The body washand shampoo bottles that Khan will have on hand will also be filled with"blood". The event – held by People for the Ethical Treatment ofAnimals (PETA) India– will take place on the eve of World Day for Animals in Laboratories. Khan andPETA's point? That not only is testing cosmetics on rabbits and other animalsharmful and deadly to the animals, it's also bad science – and and the Ministryof Health and Welfare should ban it:
"Testingcosmetics and household products on animals hurts animals and does nothing toprotect consumers", says Khan. "With so many top-quality,cruelty-free products to choose from, there's no reason to buy from companiesthat still harm rabbits and poison mice."
TheEU's phased-in ban on the testing of cosmetics and their ingredients on animalsis scheduled to take full effect in 2013. PETA is calling on the Indiangovernment to base its ban on the EU model – a proposal that has already gainedsupport from the Indian Council of Medical Research.
Morethan 1,000 companies around the world have banned all animal tests, but manystill choose to subject animals to painful tests in which substances aresmeared on their skin, sprayed in their faces or forced down their throats.Because of the vast physiological differences between humans and the animalsused in these tests, the results are often misleading.

Hemant Chaturvedi (Company - 2002, Maqbool - 2004 & Kurbaan - 2009) is the DOP.
Amit Trivedi (National & Filmfare Award for Dev:D and Filmfare Award for Udaan - 2010 & acclaimed musical score for No One Killed Jessica - 2011) is composing the music with lyrics by Kausar Munir (Tashan - 2008).
Mukund Gupta, who won the award for best Production Designer for Do Dooni Chaar, is doing the production design.

Aarti Bajaj (Do Dooni Chaar - 2010, Jab We Met - 2007, Dev:D - 2009, No One Killed Jessica - 2011, Rockstar – 2011, apart from several others) will be editing the film.

Rekha & Chinni Prakash, National Award winners for Jodhaa Akbar and with a long list of outstanding achievements credited to their names over the years, will be choreographing the film.

 And Sham Kaushal, greatly respected and much awarded for Krrish and Kaminey, is the action director.

Parineeti fired at least 200 rounds of bullets while shooting for Ishaqzaade.
She underwent a specific gun training for an entire month.
She was trained on how to hold a gun, how to fire, how to reload a gun and many such technicalities.

She was familiarized with various types of guns and she can now differentiate between a revolver, a pistol and a desi katta without any difficulty at all.
She was trained under a specialist on how to fire and aim while being on a moving object too.
She trained with real guns and an internal joke is that she is so good with guns that she can even start  participating in shooting competitions.
Infact, now to horn her skills better she has been practicing on a regular basis in Mumbai, to make sure she doesnt forget it, but only wishes to get better at it.

Viveka Babajee familyflummoxed with report about reopening case!

A report in a section of the media has got the VivekaBabajee family flummoxed. The report incorrectly claims that the family of thedeceased supermodel and Bollywood actress is considering “re-opening” her caseafter “fresh taint on main suspect (Gautam) Vora,” following revelations madeby Vijay Palande and Simran Sood in the Arunkumar Tikku and Karankumar Kakkadmurder cases. 
Quoting an unnamed “friend” of Babajee’s throughout, thesaid article also discusses various other aspects of the case. It goes on to statethat “Vora’s arrest on Monday, as well as revelations of an affair byco-accused starlet Simran Sood,  havebrought Babajee family to rethink exploring their legal options in having her suicidecase reinvestigated.” 

Dale Bhagwagar, the official spokesperson for the VivekaBabajee family, has denied any such development. 
“I spoke to members of Viveka’s family after this report appearedand they categorically told me that there was no such immediate move to re-openthe case. In fact, they are unaware of the origin of this report and haverequested the media to thoroughly verify their facts before going ahead with suchunconfirmed news on Viveka Babajee,” said the spokesperson. 

“But if the cops decide to quiz Gautam Vora about Viveka tofind out the truth behind her demise, her family would welcome the developmentand fully cooperate with the Police,” Bhagwagar stated. 
He however added, “Viveka’s mother Dayawanti Babajee staysin Mauritius and has completely relied on the Mumbai Police to investigate herdaughter’s demise. If the Police find concrete evidence about Gautam Vora beingdirectly linked to the death of Viveka Babajee, the family might reconsider itsstance.”
