Brings back MIB, Spider-Man, Bond, Total Recall this year

~ Will release THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN on 29 June before US ~

Mumbai, 11 May 2012… Sony Pictures is all set to launch its biggest summer line-up ever to set off what looks like a major year for Hollywood at the Indian box office. The studio also announced that the India release of the much-awaited blockbuster The Amazing Spider-Man is being advanced to 29 June so that Indian fans can watch the film before it releases in the US on 3 July.
Sony Pictures’ summer line-up starts with Men in Black 3 (3D, worldwide 25 May) going back in time with the original pairing of Will Smith-Tommy Lee Jones and addition of Josh Brolin, followed by a fresh reboot of the Spider-Man franchise The Amazing Spider-Man (3D, 29 June) starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans and India’s own Irrfan, and ending with a remake of the 1991 blockbuster Total Recall with Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel (worldwide 3 August).
The action doesn’t stop with the end of summer. Later in the year, there’s Adam Sandler comedy That’s My Boy, high octane action film Premium Rush starring Joseph Gordon Levitt, followed by the return of another big franchise with Resident Evil: Retribution (3D, worldwide 14 September), Here Comes the Boom starring Kevin James and Salma Hayek and 3D animated film Hotel Transylvania starring Adam Sandler and teen star Selena Gomez, from cult animation director Genndy Tartakovsky known for such Dexter’s Laboratory, Samurai Jack, The Powerpuff Girls.
The year ends with the 23rd Bond film titled Skyfall (releasing one week before the US on 2 November) and Sparkle, starring Jordin Sparks and featuring the last film appearance of the late great Whitney Houston. 2013 is another cracker year with Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz and Leonardo DiCaprio, sci-fi drama Elysium starring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster, Captain Philips starring Tom Hanks, After Earth starring the father-son pairing of Jaden and Will Smith, a return of the horror classic Evil Dead, Roland Emmerich’s White House Down, and follow-ups of super-hit films The Smurfs 2 and Grown Ups 2.

Commenting on the advance of the release date of The Amazing Spider-Man, he said, “Each of the Spider-Man franchise films has broken records on its release in this territory. We are very confident that Indian audiences will enjoy the new reboot of the franchise even more because they are watching it before the US and also as this film has an India connect.”

Asin Learns to Waltz!!!

The latest buzz in B-town is that Asin has specially learnt the graceful dance form of waltz for a shoot. A sequence in the Ad of a prominent soap brand Asin endorses required Asin to perform the ballroom dance of the style ‘Viennese Waltz’, and we hear that Asin has reportedly mastered the steps of the intricate dance in a remarkably short while! 

The pretty actress who was shooting in Wai for ‘Bol Bachchan’ had to juggle between both these professional commitments. The ad was directed by renowned Director Harvey Brown who was specially travelled down to Wai fr the rehearsals. So post shooting when everyone would call it a day, Asin would learn Waltz during the nights. Her sheer hard work has surely paid off as those who have seen the Ad are all gung ho about the actress's dancing skills!!

A source close to her informed us that Asin who is already a trained Bharatnatyam dancer has been completely mesmerized by this western dance form and is planning to pursue it further as and when she wraps up the shooting of her movies!

Five leading actresses considered to play Bhanwari Devi

Mumbai, May 8, 2012: Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Mallika Sherawat, Bipasha Basu and Jacqueline Fernandez are the leading ladies considered to play the character of Bhanwari Devi, but what remains to be seen is who will eventually portray the character in question, undeniably the role of a lifetime!
On the 1st of September 2011, Bhanwari Devi, a resident of the Jaliwala Village in Rajasthan went missing after blackmailing politicians for inappropriate sexual conduct. Months later the police found remains of Bhanwari’s body in the Rajiv Gandhi Canal.
Nikhil Tonk, Mahesh Pandey and Mithilesh Suba, ex creative associates of Balaji Telefilms and Motion Pictures have come together to make a movie to take Bhanwari’s shocking story to the world. Writter and Director of the yet untitled movie, Mahesh Pandey promises it would be the most shocking film of the year, he says, “This is the story of a woman who was used and abused but refused to lose, it is a character that has never been portrayed on Indian Cinema”
Producer Nikhil Tonk calls it a standing ovation to the CBI and police, further explaining his dream project he says, “It is a tribute to the CBI and the police who stepped in to protect a woman’s dignity and modesty. This movie is going to shock the viewers at the same time leaving them in awe of the characters” When questioned about the leading pair the producer said, “you’ll have to wait and watch, but for me I can only see Mallika Sherawat and Emran Hashmi portraying the characters in question!”
The movie is scheduled to go on floors soon and would be releasing in the last quarter of 2012.

Amitabh Bachchan to re-create iconic dance scene from Amar Akbar Anthony for Bol Bachchan Title Track Video!!

Shree Ashtavinayak LFS Infra Ltd’s  and Ajay Devgn Ffilms much anticipated action comedy Bol Bachchan directed by Rohit Shetty is all set to create history with its phenomenal title track music video shoot!
News is that for this special title track, legendary superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be seen for the first time onscreen along with Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan and whats more Big B will re-create his iconic entry scene from the famous 'My Name is Anthony Gonsalves' song!
The song from Amar Akbar Anthony showed Bachchan popping out of a life sized egg for the famous song, this same scene will be replicated for the Bol Bachchan title track video as well!
 Amitabh Bachchan has rendered his splendid vocals for the track and the song will also feature some of his evergreen iconic dialogues from Amar Akbar Anthony and other films which resonate with today's generation as well!
Adding to this exciting news, is the fact that Big B will be seen in a song with Ajay Devgn for the first time as the duo have never danced together, and this will also be the return of the Bachchan father son combination in a movie after the hit ‘Kajra re’ back in 2005. Abhishek Bachchan will also sing a few lines in the track as well we hear.
With music by Himesh Reshammiya and choreography by Chinni Prakash, the special title track’s video will be shot on a lavish set packed with only female dancers and will be a contemporary number with a classic Bollywood touch to it unlike any promotional video seen before! The shoot is scheduled to take place at Film city, Mumbai from the 9th to 12th of May 2012.
Well with trade pundits already predicting big numbers at the box office for this project; looks like Big B’s magical oratory touch will add even more expectations from Bol Bachchan!

SYNOPSIS :-
The film talk about a villagecalled Bhaglipur in Madhya Pradesh. This is where one Industrialist from thesame village is trying to generate employment by starting a Milk Factory forthem. To encash on the industrialist’s goodwill with locals the sitting MLA ofthe district befriends him. What emerges in the end is the betrayal towards thecommon man. Will the common man be able to change his fate by voting for theright person? Or will it be another incident of exploitation of the weak?

DIRECTOR’S NOTE:- “My interest in shooting this film was to capturethe real miseries and need of common man. Through my movie I want to changepeople’s viewpoint about politics because today the moment we say politicsfirst thing that comes to mind are negative thoughts – scams, scams and lotmore scams... The biggest thought while making this film was ‘if a common mandecides to change the fate of his country he can do that by electing the rightcandidate’. The film depicts a deadly conflict between a political leader, anindustrialist and a common man, creating a thrilling drama.” 

SUMMARY :---  Kamal Kushwaha (ChaitanyaNaidu) is a well-settled Businessman but his is the classic story of rags toriches. Hailing from a small town Bhaglipur in Madhya Pradesh, he has hisbusiness in and around the area. His idea is to generate employment and moneyfor his fellow villagers. In his quest he comes close to a farmer Shankar(Onkar Das Manikpuri) developing an emotional bond. The sitting MLA of thedistrict Pratap Singh (Mukesh Tiwari) needs money for his election campaign andtargets KK industries to generate it. The secretary Sukhiram (Pankaj Triparthi)approaches KK Group of industries but is turned away. This starts a series ofvendetta and sinister plotting.
