Shahid Kapoor- Priyanka Chopra retro look in Teri Meri Kahaani!

By now we all know that the rushes of Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra’s Teri Meri Kahaani are out and the first look of the film has created quite a buzz.
As we can see in the trailer the film is an out an out entertainer, it is set in three different time periods. But what’s interesting to watch is Shahid’s new look which has been inspired by legendary actor Shammi Kapoor for a particular song in this film.
The actor’s much awaited look is out as the makers have released the new song Jab Se Mere Dil Ko Uff where the lover boy Shahid woos Priyanka Chopra in true Shammi style. Director Kunal Kohli made Shahid Kapoor learn the dance antics of the late Shammi Kapoor for the 1960s era in his film Teri Meri Kahaani.
After shooting for the song Jab Se Mere Dil Ko Uff, Shahid Kapoor said it is homage to the Elvis Presley of India. If talk about the video, in it Shahid is seen wearing a white coat reminiscent of the golden era and in a very similar Shammi Kapoor style, the actor goes around wooing his lady love Priyanka who herself is dressed like the yesteryear stunner Mumtaz.

snippet- bhanwari devi film

It’sofficial. Finally the excitement culminates as we got to learn that theBhanwari Devi film to be produced by Nikhil Tonk will be titled “Bitch”. We gotour hands on the script and the film will surprisingly end with no one beingaware of the whereabouts of Bhanwari Devi, quite contrary to reality where themedia and politicians claimed to have killed her and thrown her chopped body partsin the lake while her family said she was burnt alive by her Natt Samaj and thepolice maintain still she’s alive!
Nikhil Tonkhas been involved with the Balaji camp since quite sometime andhas headed digital marketing for Ragini MMS, Shor In The City And DirtyPicture. He will be the only person till date from the camp who has ventured outon his own in the history of the company and infact one of the youngestproducers from the industry.
Our source informs, " Ekta Kapoor maybe making herdirectorial debut with this film. It's quite obvious since the writer of the film is her guide."
The grapevinealso informs us that three actresses are in the final stage of consideration for the role of BhanwariDevi. Kangana Ranawat, Bipasha Basu and MallikaSherawat.
Interestinglythe production team of the film is also scouting for global talent to play a key role inthe film incase the lead will be played by a newcomer if the selected actresses are not confident enough to don the role of Bhanwari Devi with a brand new producer. Divas of the likes of Paris Hilton & Kim Kardishan are beingconsidered to play a raunchy item number in the film and the songs maybe composedand sung by ace music sensations of the likes of 50 Cent & Snoop Dog.
Speaking onthe occasion, Nikhil Tonk states, “We are looking at a crossover film that isjust not going to do wonders in Indian multiplexes but will have a global feelto the entire concept. We are also simultaneously speaking to Hollywood agentsapart from Bollywood filmstars as my film is going to be Hinglish since I wantto leverage the Bhanwari Devi case on a global platform. Infact we havereceived a go ahead from the Censor Board and CBI as well and the script and titleshave all been approved. It’s amazing how we have investors lining up ever sincethe news broke out. If the film does well, we may look at a sequel”
Other membersinvolved in the film are all Balaji products including screenplayby Mithilesh Suba and writer Mahesh Pandey who is Ekta Kapoor’s Guru and iscommonly referred to as golden-eyed boy of Balaji.
The film isslated to commence production from July and will be shot in exotic locales likeSrilanka, Bangkok & New Zealand. While the core team is doing ground work inBhanwari’s village presently, the producer is finalising the starcast.
