After winning rave reviews at the Kashish Mumbai International Queer Film Festival 2012, Miraj Group’s Queens! Dance of Destiny has bagged six awards at The Los Angeles Movie Awards in the International Films category.
“Queens! Destiny of Dance is a film which takes one into the heart of an up-market Hijra or the trans-gender community. This film reveals a journey of life in human experience that is seldom understood. Even more, it is made with the honest efforts to show such lives in a better light. And through this film we hope to celebrate a way of life in every colour through dance of destiny and we are vey happy that it is so well-received,” says Sonal Deshpande, COO, Miraj Entertainment.

The Los Angeles Movie Awards aims to celebrate Independent Motion Picture and Literary Arts by providing a platform for filmmakers and writers to have an opportunity to be awarded for their work.

Queens! Dance of Destiny won the first place in the International Films Category, besides Best Director – David Atkins, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Supporting Actress – Seema Biswas and Best Special Effects categories. धारावाहिक "कुल की कन्याज्योति" आमिर खान के "सत्यमेव जयते" से प्रेरित

अभिनेता आमिर खान ने अपने कार्यक्रम ‘सत्यमेव जयते’ में कन्या भ्रूण हत्यासे सम्बंधित मामला उठा कर, हमें इस गंभीर मामले के बारे मे सोचने पर मजबूर कर दिया.उन्होंने समाज की जो सच्चाई हम सबके सामने पेश की है, वो बहुत ही दुखद है लेकिनआमिर का यह प्रयास बहुत ही काबिले तारीफ है.
पहले भी समय-समय पर टीवी धारावाहिकों के द्वारा इस गंभीरमामले को लोगों के सामने लाने की कोशिश की गए है. “घर की लक्ष्मी बेटियां” और “बेटियां अपनी या पराया धन” भी इन ही मुद्दों पर आधारितधारावाहिक थें, जिन्होने समाज में फैले इन्ही गंभीर मुद्दों को उठाया था. दूरदर्शनपर आनेवाला धारावाहिक ‘कुल की ज्योति कन्या’ भी इस ही कड़ी का एक और प्रयास है, जो की हमारे दिलऔर दिमाग को झकझोर देने वाली समाज की इस सच्चाई ‘कन्या भ्रूण हत्या’ के मामलेको लोगों के सामने लाएगा।

जिसकी पहली कडी प्रसारित होगी ७ जून को दूरदर्शन पर दोपहर१२ बजे. इसके बाद यह धारावाहिक हर सोमवार से शुक्रवार प्रसारित होगा दूरदर्शन परदोपहर १२ बजे.
धारावाहिक “कुल की ज्योति कन्या” की कहानी है एक ऐसे इंसान कीजो बेटे की चाह में अपनी गर्भवती पत्नी और अपनी दो छोटी बेटियों को घर से निकालदेता है और दूसरी शादी कर लेता है लेकिन बाद में उसकी दूसरी शादी से हुए बेटे हीउसे किस तरह से प्रताडित करते हैं? आखिर में उसकी वो बेटियाँ ही उसकी देखभाल करती है जिन्हें उसने बचपन में अपने घर से निकालदिया था और उसे अपनी गलतियों का अहसास होता है कि वो कितना गलत सोचता था जबकि कुलकी ज्योति तो कन्या ही होती है.

डी एस प्रोडक्शन प्राइवेट लिमिटेड के बैनर में बने इसधारावाहिक के निर्माता दीपक शर्मा कहते हैं, "हमारी पूरी दुनियामहिलाओं के आसपास घूमती है, वो हमारे जीवन का एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है हमारी माँ,बहन, बेटी सभी महिलाऐ है जिनके बिना हम अपना अस्तित्व सोच भी नहीं सकते. अगर उनकेलिए कुछ करने का मौका मिले तो इस से बड़ी बात और क्या हो सकती है. मेरे घर में भीमेरी एक छोटी पारी है और ये भी इस धारावाहिक से जुड़ने का एक बहुत ही महत्पूर्णकारण है.”

आलोक दीक्षित इस धारावाहिक के निर्देशक हैं. धारावाहिक के लेखकहैं पारस जैसवाल. जिन कलाकारों ने इसमें अभिनय किया है उनमे मुख्य हैं अभिनेत्रीउपासना सिंह, गजेन्द्र चैहान, आशा सिंह, साहिबा, विजय भाटिया, अमित पचैरी, मल्लिका, मनीष जैन, रमेश गोयल, सुमन गुप्ता, राजेश तिवारी, अंजू राजीव और चारु वाधवा.
