Jewellery brand giant signs on AnkitaShorey as brand ambassador

After sharing the stage with Shah Rukh Khan andRanbir Kapoor, where she hosted this year’s Filmfare Awards, Ankita Shorey, Miss IndiaInternational 2011 has now been signed on as ambassador for leading jewellery brandGitanjali -— previously endorsed byKatrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan—making her the first non-actress to be signed on by the brand. 
Evenbefore making her foray into Bollywood, Ankita has been signed on to endorsetwo product lines under the brand umbrella ,a feat very few newcomers havemanaged to achieve.

And while several feel that the supermodel has all it takes tomake it big with her striking looks and the talent to back it, Ankita Shoreydespite receiving several offers from some big names , is taking her time tosettle in on a project that will mark her Bollywood debut –

Asin is the first one to wish Mithun Da!

The pretty actress who is currently shooting with the veteran actor in the much awaited Khiladi 786 was the first one to wish him for his birthday as he came on the sets.
Said a source, "Asin had got a cake from home and was the first one to wish dada on the sets. They have had a long association from their Housefull 2 days and share a very good relationship. Dada was really happy with her gesture and cut the cake with the unit."
When quizzed about the same, Mithun Da said, "Cake was full of love and getting it from a gorgeous lady,my day was made.I know Asin from our Housefull 2 days and she is not only gorgeous but very cute nd very very caring. I miss her presence always. I wish she becomes Big,Bigger,Biggest."
All we can say is that, we loved this sweet little gesture by the actress!

GATTU’S CHILD ARTIST BAGS ANURAG KASHYAP’S NEXT

He is the boy wonder from the small townof Roorkee, Uttrakand who bagged the lead role in the Children’s Film Society, India film Gattu by being the best out of 300 and more kids. For Mohammad Samad (Gattu), director Rajan Khosa changed the story to fithis personality. And now filmmaker AnuragKashyap has got charmed by the little one. The 11-years-old bagged a rolein Anurag Kashyap Production’s next, Minto,directed by Slok who was

Anurag’sassistant. Anurag saw the promo of the movie Gattu and immediately wanted tomeet the kid. “He just wanted Samad forthe role of this naughty kid from Ahmedabad. Samad was specially called toMumbai from Roorkee to give a screen test to Anurag. The filmmaker took care ofthe stay and tickets of the kid and his father,” says a source close to thefilm. Nawazuddin Siddiqi will playthe lead role in this movie. Director of Samad’s first movie Rajan who istaking the film to Edinburgh FilmFestival, is very happy for him.

“Samadis like Sridevi when she used to be a child artist. Camera loves him and he isa natural in front of it. He acts with an ease that makes working with this kideasy,” says Rajan. CFSI’schairperson, Nandita Das seconds Rajan’s feeling. “We are already very proud of our film Gattu and we love how Samad hasworked in this film. He is a bright child and I know for a fact that he will dobrilliantly wherever he goes and whatever he does,” says Nandita. Gattuwill release in India on July 20thand will be distributed all over the country by Rajshri Productions.
