Whistling Woods and the Film Industry pay tribute to Ashok Mehta at the Institute's campus in Mumbai

Subhash Ghai and Jackie Shroff pay a day long tribute to ace cinematographer Ashok Mehta at the Whistling Woods  campus  with  veterans of the Industry and the family of Ashok Mehta. The campus was decorated with exhibits, special classes & seminars discussing films shot by Ashok Mehta and his work as a Cinematographer and finally a tribute and screening of his directorial debut 'MOKSH" starring Manisha Koirala and Arjun Rampal was shown to the students.
Surprise of the Event
Subhash Ghai as a real tribute to his friend and colleage Ashok Mehta surprised the audience full of students & Industry professionals by screening a song of the most talked about film DEVAA starring AMITABH BACHCHAN. First time after 24 years the song was seen by anyone inside the Whistling Woods Auditorium. DEVAA was shelved after one schedule unfortunately due to unavoidable circumstances… The song was the first time Subhash Ghai had collaborated with Ashok Mehta & Mr. Bachchan. After the film was shelved Filmmaker Subhash Ghai shifted his entire unit of Technicians that were signed for DEVAA, including Music composers Laxmikant & Pyarelal, for his smaller budget film Ram Lakhan. The song of DEVAA got a standing ovation by the Students.

Youth Leader Sanjay Bedia was felicitated at Kishore Kumar Night.

Youth Leader Sanjay Bedia recently visited as a Chief Guest to a function organized for the orphan children. The night was honored as “Kishore Kumar Night” where the melodies of Kishore Kumar filled the environment with a warm feeling of his era.
The night was also to pay a tribute to the first Bollywood Superstar Rajesh Khanna.
Sanjay Bedia was overwhelmed with the gesture of the children and the organizers as they felicitated him with a bouquet and a shawl. The Youth Leader was seen very touched with the welcome and expressed his love and affection for the orphan children.
He also mentioned some of his childhood days when he was gaga over Kaka and Kishore Da's song and exclaimed that with the lost of both he was taken aback as he lost his ideals.
Sanjay Bedia exclaimed, “I am very happy to be here. Thanks for all the warm welcome and respect given to me here. It’s an honor to be a part of an evening where the great Singer and Music Director Kishore Da and Superstar of Bollywood Rajesh Khanna are being celebrated for their charisma and their contribution to India.”

The second segment drove through the Mughal era, reminding the purityand solace of white, closely revolving around the intricate patterns,embroideries and rich delicate chiffons. It presented the soft and humble lookof a woman.
