NRI Aaryan’s musical tribute to Yash Chopra crosses1 million YouTube views in record 72 hours

Dubai-based Indian singer-musician-lyricist Aaryan has set YouTube ablaze on Sunday with his first offering Ranjhann – a tribute to the legendary Indian film-maker Yash Chopra.

The song has been shot in iconic locations in New York City and features Aaryan himself and introduces Shaista Shenoy. The video was released at 10:11pm on 10/11/12 in Dubai at a private event. In 72 hours, the music video has received over 1 million views on YouTube.

A product of IIT Roorkee and Harvard University, Aaryan has trained under the celebrated music directors Sajid-Wajid’s father, the world-renowned Ustad Sharafat Ali Khan. Aaryan’s soulful voice was discovered by producer-director Shiraz Gidwani in 2008 on YouTube and a four year journey culminates with Aaryan’s launch on 12.12.12.

"Yash Uncle was one of the most beautiful people in the world and this has been our humble tribute to him”,says Gidwani who feels very strongly about dedicating Aaryan’s first musical foray to the recently deceased Yash Chopra. “With his last film Jab Tak Hai Jaan’s musical offering, he gave us‘Heer’. We have responded with Ranjha”, he adds.

Vivek Mishra, the name synonyms with the one known for his quirkiness & boldest amongst the LGBT community across the country had an encounter with the Grammy Award winner Sean Paul during his recent visit to Delhi.

Apparently Vivek Mishra happened to be at same hotel for the press conference of his upcoming film- ‘Shaayad’, supposedly the boldest Gay short film ever made, where Sean Paul’s press conference for the upcoming concert to happen in Delhi was held.

Bold & Witty that he is on learning about Sean Paul’s presence & his huge fan that he is requested his manager to inquire about the same & then everyone spotted the two having a chat.

Clearly Sean Paul& Vivek had a hearty chat & were overheard talking about Fitness. Vivek also being a Yoga trainer exchanged few tips & was heard talking about how Yoga is much more advisable than other workout.

Vivek clearly knows how to flaunt his strengths. He chuckles, “I am so thrilled. I not only got to meet Sean Paul but also have this fantastic conversation. Moreover he was pretty much interested in learning about yoga. I had a good time.”

Vivek, who successfully has been a face for Yamaha helmets, will be seen in upcoming films like Supermodels & Mr. Right Kab Aayega, but by far he says he has given his best in Shaayad.

Mukta arts film SAMHITA for IFFI

Mukta Arts 'SAMHITA' selected for panorama at International Film Festival of India In Goa.
Mukta Arts' latest Marathi film ‘Samhita’, directed by the award winning duo of Sumitra Bhave and Sunil Sukthankar has been seleceted by IFFI in the Indian Panorama section to be screened on the 24th and on the 29th november in GOA .
"SAMHITA" also got a standing ovation when it was screened at MAMI film festival in Mumbai and IFFK in Cochin.
The film is about an ailing producer who wants his wife to produce a film on his favourite story, has been produced by Mukta Arts in association with Ashokk Movies. The film stars Milind Soman,Rajeshwari Sachdev and Uttara Baokar.
The film will release across Maharashtra and India at the end of the year.
