Asha Bhosle’s Debut Film ‘MAI’ Launched in the Parliament House

On the Special Occasion of ‘Happy Womens world Foundation Day’, the First Look of Legendary Singer Asha Bhosle Ji’s Film ‘Mai’ was Launched in a sensational manner amongst the elite audience of Chief Justice of India Ranjana ji Desai, Krishna Teerth - Union Cabinet Minister and Women Empowerment Minister, Justice Supreme Court Gyan Sudha Mishra along with Asha Bhosle ji in the Bal Yogi Auditorium of Parliament House.

On this special occasion of celebrating women, various women from different walks of life participated in the special first look launch of Asha ji’s debut film. Nalini Chidambaram, Kiran Walia, Savitri Jindal, Vandana Luthra were among the chief attendees.

While launching the trailer of her film ‘Mai’Asha Ji in a very emotional tone remembered her mother saying “My mother did not leave any snap in our upbringing. She made us stand on our feet even when we were going through a real bad financial crisis. Getting inspired from the life of my mother I present to you this film called ‘Mai’. This would be my first and last film in which I am acting”

AshaJi and Savitri Jindal- Mother of MP & Steel Tycoon Naveen Jindal were honoured for being Woman Achievers.

The Film ‘Mai’ is Produced by Mr. Subhash Dawar & Nitin Shankar.

The Film is being presented by ChandraKumar Jajodia & VISHVESHVARA Ventures (Mahaveer S Jain & Vijayta V Gandhi).

The Film is directed by Mr. Mahesh Kodiyal and will Release on 1st February 2013 Worldwide.

Salman Khan & Arbaaz turned up in Delhi to Promote Dabangg 2

To make this Christmas even more special Superstar Salman Khan a.k.a. Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg 2, one of the most successful franchises of all time in Indian cinema is back with a bang. The superstar came with his Brother and the director of the film Arbaaz Khan to promote the film in the capital at Hotel Imperial.

At the press meet, Arbaaz Khan interacted with the media. “Not only from a director's point of view, but Salman is a star for everybody. He is the most bankable actor currently. One can see it from his past few releases. He is clearly a winner and obviously way ahead of his contemporaries in terms of box-office collection," said Arbaaz very proudly, speaking about Salman during the press con.

Salman on the other hand was asked how he feels on the Delhi Rape case since he too is playing the role of a cop in the film. To which he replied demanding stern action against heinous crimes towards women. "The first thought which comes to the mind is - such people should be killed - but there are too many things which we have to follow. It is a shame that such a thing has happened, how can somebody commit such a crime”.

Dabangg 2 is Salman’s second Christmas release after Maine Pyar Kiya. The film is gearing up to break all records and set new benchmarks! In fact trade sources are anticipating a box office blitzkrieg this Xmas with Dabangg 2 en route to be Salman’s Biggest hit ever.

An Arbaaz Khan Production’s film, Dabangg 2 stars Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Prakash Raj, Vinod Khanna and Arbaaz Khan.

The film is all set to release on 21^st December.

SRK WINS TWO AWARDS AT BIG STAR ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS

 

He is undoubtedly the best hero when it comes to romance and it is that time of the year when this fact gets acknowledged by awards. BIG Star Entertainment Awards gave Shah Rukh Khan two awards – The Entertainer Of The Year and Best Romantic On-Screen Couple along with co-star Katrina Kaif. The Entertainer of the Year as the best actor was given to Shah Rukh for his performance in late director Yash Chopra’s last film Jab Tak Hai Jaan(JTHJ). “Jab Tak Hai Jaan will always be a special film for me. I will always be thankful to Yash ji. I get really excited with awards. No matter how many I have got, they have the same affect on me, like they did when I was new in the industry. I almost become like a kid in the candy store,” said Shah Rukh.

Shah Rukh and Katrina got the Best Romantic On-Screen Couple for their appearance together in JTHJ. “This was the first time I worked with her and see what happened! Katrina is a very hardworking girl and it was a pleasure working with her. And as far as romance is concern, I am the best one here,”quips Shah Rukh.

Madhushree's ghazal magic!

Singing sensation Madhushree Bhattacharya, the voice behind innumerable Bollywood hit numbers, brought timeless ghazals from the silver screen and paid an ode to immortal ghazal maestros like Begum Akhter, Mehendi Hasan, Jagjit Singh, our industry legends like Madan Mohan, Shankar Jaikishen, Khayyam, Rajesh Roshan, SD Burman in her first ever ghazal concert titled 'Woh Jab Yaad Aaye... Bahut Yaad Aaye' this evening at St.Andrews Auditoirum in Bandra (W).

It was a star-studded affair which saw in attendance celebs like Shatrughan Sinha, Anup Jalota, Medha Jalota, Rajkumar Barjatya, Mir Ranjan Negi, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Sonalika Pradhan, Champak Jain of Venus, Saawan Kumar Tak and many others. Madhushree's husband Robby Badal was also there to support her. 

The show was divided into into two parts, the first half being the tribute ghazals, and the second half covering ghazals from films over the two hours that Madhushree brought the the pathos, tribulations and richness of this song form alive. Some of ghazals she sang included soulful numbers like Baat Niklegi Toh Door Tak Jayegi, Chitthi na Koi Sandes, Aaj Jaane Ki Zidd Naa Karo, Hothon Se Choolo tum, Saawan Ka Mahina Pawan Kare Shor and many others.
