Pooja Batra addresses students at Wharton School of Business!!

The leggy model turned actress Pooja Batra who is based in LA was recently invited by the prestigious Wharton school of Business in Philadelphia for the Digital Marketing & E- commerce to give a lecture on the last day of class!!                   

We hear that at Wharton, she shared her personal brand and social media insights with the MBA grads and under grads…

In fact when asked about her experience at Wharton School of Business and her social media insights she said, “ I got on the SMO band wagon reluctantly not even 3 years ago, I remember my friend Sanjiv Sharma from Optimystix who forced me to open my twitter account saying that it is very necessary to have one. I realized its importance and yes that is why I went to Wharton willingly to share my knowledge on the same. In fact soon after I gave a lecture, I had students tweeting to me and saying ‘Thank You’ for the lecture.”

Femina Magazine organized the Grand Finale of Femina Style Diva at Westin Hotel, Gurgaon. Judged by renowned personalities from Bollywood and Fashion, The three Winners of the contest were Manveen Singh,1st Runner up- Aditi Bhalotra ,2nd runner up- Amarjyot Kaur

Hosted by Shibhani Dandekar, the event saw a soulful performance by musician Rabbi Shergill which was quickly followed by Hard Kaur’s gregarious performance. Delhi-based dancer Ria and her troupe managed to keep on their toes with their energetic choreography.

Adding sparkle to the evening was the jury panel comprising of some of the eminent and celebrated names from the fashion and entertainment industry. These include Director Kabir Khan, actor Sushant Singh Rajput model NoyonikaChatterjee, Tanya Chaitanniya Editor Femina and Jitesh Pillaai from Filmfare WWM, among others.

Chosen from over a hundred girls, FSD was a one of a kind challenge that was designed to reach out to girls across cities, thereby giving them a chance to realize their style ambitions.

This year’s FSD North saw girls from cities such as Chandigarh, Ludhiana and across Delhi NCR showcase their unique style at the grande finale at The Westin, Gurgaon, New Delhi where the girls walked the ramp in elegant saris by Chhabra 555 and jewellery by PC Jewellers. While the second round comprised the girl’s own personal style and the third in funky clothes by Monte Carlo and Vogue Eyewear, the crowd broke into cheers when the gowns by rising star NikhitaTandon were showcased.

SAIF ENTERTAINED THE ENTERTAINERS

The days were gruelling, shooting in the remote locations of Goa. But the nights were just perfect for actors Kunal Khemu, Vir Das and Anand Tiwary to let their inner creativity loose almost daily. Watching the boys bond, it was hard to tell that it was their first time working together. They got together like they had known each other forever! And the bonfire nights were the perfect platform for the three of them to come up with impromptu songs based on the happenings during the day. During those late night parties where Go Goa Gone crew had fun with the trio, it was Saif Ali Khan who helped them in improvising their off the cuffs songs and made sure that they will also be entertained after all. “After those late night parties, next day Saif used to take Kunal, Vir and Anand out for dinner and cocktails. You may not believe but we partied almost every alternative night during the entire shooting schedule. Kunal, Vir and Anand were really enthusiastic enough to party till late and start their next shooting day very early”, informed one of the production guys. “There hasn’t been a concept like this on Indian screens; the film is a great big bundle of action and fun. Audiences will be blown away for sure. The entire unit tried to put in their best, and we naturally wanted to put in our best too not just on screen but off screen too. We started with making up situational songs inspired by the happening of the day, one day. Everyone loved it so much that we continued this till the last day of the shoot. We sang, strumming our guitars and everyone would be in splits. We would go on for hours, late into the night, even though we had to get up at the crack of dawn the next day!” says Vir. 
The songs were hilarious and often risqué, and the team would laugh uproariously at each line sung. “Dan Macarthur, our DOP from Australia, and Jordi Cirbian, our sound specialist from Spain, who are musicians in their own right, would also chip in and keep the team in splits,” recalls Kunal.

Directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK say, “The three guys and their chemistry with Saif was a treat to watch. They were a riot both on and off the screen. We know Vir is known for his stand-up acts, but Kunal and Anand have this straight-faced humour that is very funny. They kept us in splits throughout the shoot and the bromance between the three guys is one of the highlights of the film. Each of them are amazing in their own way - Kunal is one of the most talented young actors out there - has a great range, and he is especially hilarious in this film. Vir, of course, has great sense of humor and comic timing, and Anand is going to be that big discovery in the film.”

This zombie comedy has friendship at its core but not in a conventional way. Vir, Kunal and Anand have an atypical friendship in the film. It’s light hearted, urban and based on current youth, yet it is not frivolous.

Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan have produced this film under their banner Illuminati Films along with Sunil Lulla of Eros International. The film stars actors Saif, Kunal, Vir, Anand and Puja Gupta in key roles. The film is ready to release on May 10..

शूटआउट एट वडाला जल्द ही रिलीज़ होने वाली है। इस बात की जानकारी तो सबको मिल ही गयी है कि फिल्म मान्या सुर्वे के एन्काउन्टर और दाउद के साथ उसकी दुश्मनी की कहानी है। लेकिन इस कहानी का एक और पहलू है। ये फिल्म मान्या सुर्वे के नाईटलाईफ के ऊपर भी फोकस करेगी।

मान्या सुर्वे उस दौर में अकसर रात में मुंबई के बार में जाया करता था। वो एक दिलफेक आशिक था और कई बार वाली के साथ उसका चक्कर था। ये भी एक बहुत बड़ी वजह है कि फिल्म में ३ आईटम गीत रखे गए हैं। ये पहली फिल्म है जिसमें तीन आईटम गीत दिखाई देंगे।

शूटआउट एट वडाला 70 के दशक के कई गैंगस्टर के नाईटलाईफ के राज़ खोलेगा और ये भी कि कैसे मुंबई बार का इन सब के पीछे एक महत्वपूर्ण हाथ था। 

इस फिल्म में जॉन अब्राहम, अनिल कपूर, सोनू सूद, मनोज बाजपाई, तुषार कपूर और कंगना रानौत जैसे कलाकार नज़र आयेंगे। ये फिल्म 3 मई को रिलीज़ होने वाली है और इसका निर्देशन संजय गुप्ता ने किया है।
