Superstar Ajay Devgn and Kajol recently went to Lonavala to support the veteran actress Tanuja’s initiative to keep Lonavala and Khandala clean and green!!
The initiative is taken up by an NGO ‘Lonavala Khandala Citizens forum’ ( LKCF) of which Tanuja is the president. This forum works for the Civic Development and Environmental Rights for Citizens of Lonavla and Khandala!!And especially for preservation and enhancement of quality of life and amenities in the twin towns of Lonavala & Khandala a fun charity fair was organized.
Devgn and Kajol were extremely happy to be a part of this fund raising fare and spoke about their childhood memories in Lonavala and about preserving, and taking care of the green city. And also said that to kickstart this issue and help wherever they can to protect it LKCF is the perfect means to getting that done!
At the fair, there were different stalls which included puppet shows, dart games, there were different kind of handicraft stalls and food stalls. The actors were seen interacting with the people at the stalls and were seen enjoying themselves.
Well, we are quite proud of this initiative taken up by Tanujaji and we must say what a lovely gesture from Ajay Devgn and Kajol this Mothers Day!!

AIMS· Preservation and enhancement of quality of life and amenities in the twin towns of Lonavla and Khandala.
· Creation of an enlightened public opinion regarding the total environment in the towns.
· Promotion of orderly and rational development.
· Study and promotion of understanding of local problems with purpose to action.
· Promotion and preservation of parks, playgrounds, open spaces.
· Working with groups having similar objectives.
· Study of government policies and offering critical support for their implementation.
· Providing an atmosphere for critical developmental discussion without being politically aligned.
LKCF is an NGO initiative in support from Lonavala Municipal Council to make Lonavala and Khandala a green and clean place to live. Since it is a tourist spot as well so LKCF is also working towards the beautification of the city. People donating money will be given an ETG opportunity with LKCF. By owning and managing the supply chain from start to finish, ETG is able to move agricultural commodities between regions, strategically matching one area’s market origination capabilities with market consumption patterns in another. Combined with the capacity to store commodities close to their point of origin for extended periods of time along with control over transport and logistics, the Group maximizes synergies and efficiencies at every stage of the value chain continuum.ETG increases local employment and adds value to local economies by investing in mid- and downstream agriculture processing, cleaning and packaging businesses. ETG currently has 26 such plants operating in Africa and Asia, transforming maize, rice, cashew nuts, wheat, pulses, soybeans, sesame seeds, coffee and fertiliser into marketable products for regional and international distribution.LKCF also has a tie up with Lions, Rotary and Red Cross Society of India to make this initiative bigger. There are approximately 200 members who are associated with LKCF and are working towards making Lonavala - Khandala a better place to live in.
