24 May’13, Mumbai: Her melodies mesmerized the country from 1940s to early 60s. She is the 1st female background singer of our film industry with over 6,000 songs in different languages including Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil and Punjabi. Till date people like to tap their feet on her melodies when remixed. Shamshad Begum – the legendary singer, though not among us today, is an immortal part of the completion of 100 years of Cinema. 

Shemaroo Entertainment pays tribute to Shamshad Begum and releases Shraddhanjali: Shamshad Begum- Saiyan Dil Main Aana Re… & Other Hits – a song compilation DVD. The DVD contains songs like “Mere piya Gaye Rangoon” from Patanga (1949) and “Saaiya dil main aana re” from Vyjayantimala’s debut film Bahar (1951) to the evergreen qawwali “Teri Mehfil Mein Kismat” from Mughal-E-Azam (1960). Her work with maestros like Naushad Ali, S. D. Burman, & C. Ramchandra is well captured in the DVD.

Dilip Sen records Marathi song for Guddu Dhanoa’s “Gulabi”

 

Music Director Dilip Sen recorded a Marathi song in voice of Hariharan and Sangeeta Kopalkar at Hariharan’s recording studio, Chandivali, Powai recently, song was penned by M.Prakash. This song was recorded for director Guddu Dhanoa’s Marathi film “Gulabi”  starring Sachin Khedekar and Pakhi, where in Pakhi is portraying the roll of call girl ‘Gulabi’ in the movie. 

Wow what a combination of Bollywood, Bhojwood and Marathi film industry, it is notable that Pakhi has done many Bhojpuri film as leading lady, and Guddu is successful director of Bollywood, his films were ‘Elaan’, ‘Bichoo’, ‘Aflatoon’, ‘Tu Chor Main Sipahi’, ‘Ziddi’ and many more

दिलीप सेन ने निर्देशक गुड्डू धनोवा की मराठी फिल्म "गुलाबी" का गीत रिकार्ड किया

संगीत निर्देशक दिलीप सेन ने हाल ही में मशहूर गायक हरिहरण और संगीता कोपालकर की आवाज़ में एक मराठी गीत, चांदीवली स्तिथ हरिहरण के ही रिकॉर्डिंग स्टूडियो में किया, जिसके गीत एम् प्रकाश ने लिखे थे। यह गीत निर्देशक गुड्डू धनोवा की आनेवाली मराठी फिल्म "गुलाबी" के लिए रिकार्ड किया गया जिसमे सचिन खेडेकर व पाखी की मुख्य भूमिका है, पाखी इस फिल्म में एक कॉल-गर्ल की भूमिका निभा रही है।

यह एक मजेदार बात है की हिंदी फिल्मों के मशहूर निर्देशक गुड्डू धनोवा जिन्होंने इस के पहले 'एलान', 'बिच्छू', 'अफलातून', 'तू चोर मैं सिपाही' व 'जिद्दी' जैसी कई फ़िल्में देने के बाद इस मराठी फिल्म का निर्माण कर रहे हैं, जिसमे हीरो तो मराठी फिल्मो का ही है परन्तु हेरोइन पाखी भोजपुरी फिल्मों की सफल हेरोइन है।

Dhananjay Films Pvt. Ltd. Records a song with Sonu Nigam with music director Aadesh Srivastav, for BN Ojha’s film Janta vs. Janardhan – Bechara Aam Aadmi!

Sonu Nigam recorded this foot tapping song which was earlier recorded by  Shreya Ghoshal  in the presence of the producer Dhananjay Kumar Yadav & Director BN Ojha and actor Vijay Pandey

Excited by the way the song recording turned out to be, the happy man Dhananjay exclaims, “This song is going to be a hit in the clubs. Sonu Nigam has done a fabulous job, like he always does. It is a jitterbug track.”

Renowned singers from Bollywood sung for Australian composer Shankar Lamichhane.

Australian composer Shankar Lamichhane came India to record songs for his daughter. Shankar has recorded his debut album 'Yaadein' composed and penned by himself. the songs are sung by Shaan,Mahalaxmi Iyer,Abhas Joshi and Aaman Sinha. surprisingly what he did has gifted his recorded songs to his daughter who wished to hear one song from her father. the video of the album also directed by Shankar which also features him as the hero. the album was released by composer Shamir Tandon. the album is released under the banner of SRK music and was recorded and released at Kailasa studio.
