The actress first visited the picturesque location to celebrate her 18th birthday, one she will never forget – Says Asin, “My most memorable trip would have to be to New Zealand where I spent my 18th birthday –It’s scenic beauty is a visual treat and I indulged in so many activities…There was so much to learn about the Maori tribe — the original inhabitants and how to date they’ve managed to keep their culture alive”.
While most travel junkies love to click away their vacation,Asin chooses to avoid carrying a camera ,stressing more on enjoying the moment as compared to capturing the moment – “I have very few photographs of my travels.I don’t carry a camera with me…We get so occupied in clicking pictures that we miss out on the actual experience”.adds Asin.

Will Smith’s son JADEN says No to Plastic!
The ‘ After Earth’ star sends out a plea to kids everywhere to save Earth.
As well as playing as portraying a real to reel like father-son drama and a high-paced action spectacle, M Night Shyamalan’s AFTER EARTH also carries a stark warning about mankind’s rapacious use of the planet’s resources, and Will Smith and son Jaden are keen to do their bit to promote environmentalism.
The rising teenage star Jaden has already adopted environmental consciousness in his life!!
“In the household we recycle,” says Jaden Smith. “I compost all the food and put it in the ground to help the soil. And we just drink from glass bottles. We don’t use any plastic. We have solar power at our house. We try to do as much as we can.”
On a wider level, too, ‘AFTER EARTH’s Jaden Smith is passionate about the planet and says that he feels a responsibility to speak out and encourage his generation. “I feel the world needs a voice right now,” he says. “It’s in a very dark place. The world could use a voice in music, movies. Everywhere I feel like kids don’t really care. But if we had somebody that was willing to say, ‘Hey, we need to do something about this,’ I feel we can actually change the world. If we don’t, he notes, the fiction on screen in AFTER EARTH could become a frightening reality.”
Catch the intelligent teen whiz and father Will Smith as AFTER EARTH releases on 7th June!
