Sachiin J Joshi’s quest to create Olympians

Actor Sachiin J Joshi believes in staying fit. Says he, “Fitness is an integral part of me. It is as good as eating food. If you have time to eat, you should have to time to exercise and keep fit too. When I am not working, I gym, play a sport, exercise, do yoga… but there is one activity I make time for, every day.”
Interestingly, unlike other hotbods who simply believe in flex appeal, Sachiin believes in making his country proud. The young turk has actually taken his passion a step forward. He is the main patron who supports a sports academy in Pune. “We aspire to create Olympians that will bring India proud. We also support cricket and various other sports. But the dream is to have the Indian flag fly high,” says Sachiin who

How does he manage to be an entrepreneur, a sportsman and an actor rolled into one?

Says Sachiin, “I dedicate half my day to work and the other half to my passion. I work 16 hours and eight of these are dedicated to my passion. When you seek anything with a passion, the universe conspires to help you get it.”

‘Ankur Arora Murder Case’ promotion in PVR Plaza, Delhi

‘Ankur Arora Murder Case’ is a medical thriller film directed by Suhail Tatari; produced and written by Vikram Bhatt. The director and Kay Kay Menon who plays a major role were seen on 6^th June 2013 in a press conference to promote their movie at PVR Plaza.

The film revolves around the urgent and disturbing issue of death during surgery and is based on a real-life incident where a boy dies on the operation table due to medical negligence. The film stars Arjun Mathur, Kay Kay Menon, Vishakha Singh, Tisca Chopra and Paoli Dam.

When an eight year old boy, Ankur dies due to Dr. Asthana's (Kay Kay Menon) medical negligence, Romesh (Arjun Mathur) realises that a good surgeon is not necessarily a good person.
Together with Ankur's mother Nandita (Tisca Chopra), Romesh sets out on a turbulent journey to fight for what is right.

Speaking about the unique subject of the film, director said, “’Ankur Arora Murder Case' will be an eye opener as it speaks about medical negligence, the challenging part was that there should be a continuity in your mind throughout that a child is dead and that heaviness should be there every time, in each scene" Suhail Tatari also added that it is the first time this issue has been raised and converted into a movie.

Addressing the press Kay Kay Menon said, “The film is based on medical negligence, which is a critical, but true issue. We all face it. Whenever I talk about the issue, everyone has their own story to tell. People will be able to relate to it. I had to read the script a lot and know about medical malpractices to be able to get it right"

YRF Entertainment options “Seducing Ingrid Bergman”

Uday Chopra and Grace of Monaco writer Arash Amel have come together again to produce the as yet untold story of Ingrid Bergmen, one of Hollywood’s legendary names.

YRF Entertainment has optioned Seducing Ingrid Bergman, a novel by Chris Greenhalgh, which dramatizes the real-life affair between the actress Ingrid Bergman and the war photographer Robert Capa. Arash Amel will adapt and will produce with Uday Chopra, as they did together on the Olivier Dahan directed Grace of Monaco, a film being released later this year by The Weinstein Company.

Speaking about this, Uday said, “There are certain untold stories which on hearing, one realises that not only is it a very moving story of a woman but it also seems to deliver a message which goes deeper than the life of just one woman. It seems to talk about all women through her, creating in her an icon. Ingrid Bergman was just such an icon and her romance with Robert Capa, the legendary war photographer, is a story that needs to be told.

“I believe that Arash Amel, who also wrote 'Grace of Monaco', is the perfect writer to bring this story to life and I'm very excited to have YRF Entertainment bring it to the world.”

In Seducing Ingrid Bergman, we have one of the greatest undiscovered love stories of the twentieth century. The epic, star-crossed romance of a real-life Casablanca between war photographer Robert Capa and screen legend Ingrid Bergman - two legendary figures whom destiny brought together but fate would try to keep apart, in a sweeping love affair from Paris to Hollywood during World War 2, the Cold War and Hollywood's darkest hour of the McCarthy witch-hunts.

The script is near completion and other details will soon be revealed as and when the Director and Cast are locked. YRF Entertainment’s Head of Development & Production, Jonathan Reiman, will executive produce.
