Vivek Oberoi met NRI Trekkers to raise fund for Girl Schools in association with "Food for life Vrindavan" charity

Actor Vivek Oberoi met NRI Trekkers at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Gurgaon to raise funds for Girl schools. This trekker group is comprised of 21 individuals, majority of whom are NRIs from UK. They are doing this trek at their own expenses to raise funds for the school construction of the third Sandipani Muni School in Vrindavan. And the founder and international coordinator of School, Rupa Raghunath(Peitro Paolinelli) will be joining them personally.

Vivek oberoi is an ambassador of the charity “Food for life Vrindavan”. Small Girls from Vrindavan were excited to meet their Vivek bhaiya, and performed dance on the occasion. On the occasion Vivek also talked about his upcoming Hindi Film “Grand Masti” and said to the small girls, “This film is not you my dears, I have Krishh 3 for you all as Diwali gift”..

Actor Vivek Oberoi is associated with “Food for life Vrindavan”, a charity located in Vrindavan, UP. Rupa Raghunath Das founded this charity and the service began with small-scale evening meal distribution to the street kids. And now, it has number of projects running with their prime focus of “Educating Girls”.  It has 2 running schools with about 1200 girls attending and most of the girls are from slum areas or villages. The School provides for everything essential for these girls to learn, grow and reach their full potential. Apart from teaching a syllabus recognized by the UP government, the girls have a wide variety of extra circulars to pick from.

Auspicious Oct 11 release for Shuja Ali’s Baat Bann Gayi

Year 2013 has been Bollywood’s most successful year thus far, which have had many films shifting release dates to hit the silver screen on a suitable week. Almost every week there have been 4 to 5 new releases and in some weeks the numbers have gone to as high as ten. Picking a good release date has been a big task for corporate houses and movie makers. Anil Sharma’s Singh Sahab The Great has joined this league when they have shifted their release date from  October 11 to November end. Incidentally, Balaji Films has postponed the release of Ragini MMS 2 from this given date thus giving comic caper Baat Bann Gayi an auspicious Oct 11 release option.

“Considering the mammoth success of Chennai Express was released on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and is still running to packed houses, we have decided to release our film, Baat Bann Gayi on Oct 11, as there are two auspicious events Dussehra and Bakri Eid,” avers producer Sayed Asif Jah.

Baat Bann Gayi is a romantic comedy enriched with the classical plot of ‘duals’, which depicts the comedy of errors when look alike of characters encounter each other. Unexpected, hilarious situations arise because of mistaken identity.  Kabir (Ali Fazal) is deeply in love with Rachna (Anisa). After a lot of hiccups he is successful in impressing Rachna’s brother Laxmi Nivas (Gulshan Grover) with his antics. The real twist in the tale comes when Kabir’s look alike Rasiya Bihari (Ali Fazal), who works for a land mafia Carlos Rehbar Pasha (Razzak Khan), also gives his heart away to Rachna. And Rachna and her family mistakes him for Kabir. Kabir, on the other hand is confused as people are mistaking him for Rasiya..

Another twist comes when Rasiya bumps into Debu (Gulshan Grover), a dance teacher who is not straight and he exactly looks like Laxmi Nivas. Wild mishaps begin because of mistaken identity. The comedy of doubles becomes the comedy of double trouble. Whole lot of trouble and confusions turn the flow of the narrative into a hilarious, thrilling roller coaster ride full of madness, surprises, and stomach aching humorous situations.

Canadian duo Josh create a special remix of Priyanka Chopra's Exotic.

India’s celebrating Priyanka Chopra’s debut single “Exotic” by creating remixes that cater to the diaspora worldwide. The track, which has been featured on prominent US outlets including Entertainment Tonight,E! News, and celebrity blog Perez Hilton, has led to Canadian duo JoSH to produce a remix inspired by Priyanka’s Indian roots.
 JoSH is a prominent band among the massive South Asian diaspora in Canada, India and Pakistan. They were the first North American based band to win MTV India’s “Best New Artist of the Year Award,” and have won over 25 awards for their music over the past 12 years. JoSH was the first South-Asian band to successfully collaborate with a Grammy-award winning mainstream artist, Nelly Furtado - their remix with Furtado, which was entitled "Powerless DESI REMIX" charted in many parts of the world including India.  Their recent track "Mahi Ve" sat at #1 for six weeks on UK’s BBC Asian Radio and won MTV Pakistan’s “Best Song of the Year Award.”

The pair now look to carry forward their successful association with the latest madcap comedy Phata Poster Nikla Hero ,starring Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D’cruz.

With dreams of being a movie hero,Shahid Kapoor essays the role of Vishwas who begins his journey to stardom ,only to meet with a girl ,who turns everything around ,leading to complications,out-and-out entertaining episodes and lots of madness, Phata Poster Nikla Hero is every bit the crazy film all told in signature Rajkumar Santoshi style.
