Delhi Gang rape case on Crime Patrol

 

Crime Patrol brings to you yet another heart-wrenching story which created a burning sensation among all Indians. Our capital city, New Delhi, lately known as the rape capital of the nation, was in the limelight again after the Gang rape case of a 23 year old girl. The young girl was beaten and gang raped on a chilly winter evening last year. She died thirteen days later while undergoing emergency treatment for brain and gastrointestinal damage from the assault.

 One fine evening, she and her friend boarded a private bus. The only other passengers were five men who were friends of the driver, who then assaulted the pair. 

Deeply traumatized with this incident, creative director of the show Mr. S. Subramanian said, "We need to keep the flame of the candles of millions of Indians burning. The anger cannot just subside. Not until there is a deterrent to this malaise. We need to tell the ones whom we have elected to decide for the better of the nation and its citizens, we cannot forget and we will not forget. Crime Patrol promises to keep this fire of anguish, this cry for justice alive." 

The young woman’s ordeal appears to have inspired a massive amount of self-reflection in India with respect to how women and girls are treated. The death of the girl has sparked a new wave of peaceful protests across India. 

Intense anchor Anup Soni said, “We want every citizen of India to be aware about the rape and molestation cases which happens daily with the females, which are not even registered in the police files. Two things on which people should think through this episode. Firstly government of India should make strict rules for criminals so that before committing such crimes, there has to be a fear in their mind. SYNOPSIS

‘NARBACHI WAADI As it is rightly said ‘facts are stranger than the fiction’... so true! Otherwise who would believe that a small time farmer with a tiny piece of land can not only survive the wrath of mighty ‘Zhamindaars of the town but make them move like puppets at his will’… unbelievable... yes... but its true and this is the story of ‘ Narba’s  life! In his late eighties also he is still fit and fine and fighting with all the mighty big-wigs in the town… his story goes like this so far…. Narba  owns a small piece of land which he has cultivated into heaven. He loves his land like his own blood or his skin. He works hard years after years in his garden. The garden was everything for him.  But one day the fortune of Narba takes a turn.

The cruel Zamindaar, Rangrao Khot  sets his eyes on Narba’s  garden and demands that garden from him. Narba  just could not take this thought. He refuses flatly. And the Zamindaar cant take this ‘no’ and he goes berserk. He sends some goons to kill Narba and poor  Narba has to flee for his dear life.

He runs away in a jungle where he meets a dacoit- Sattu Ramoshi, who has come there for hunting. He listens to Narba’s story and gives a threat to the Zamindaar. The Zamindaar can’t take this insult and commits suicide. And Narba comes back to his beloved garden.

Years pass by and the son of the Zamindaar- Malhari, is now ruling the town.  And Narba is considerably old and frail.

Looking at his Narba’s  state the Zamindaar’s son realizes that he would not live longer so he strikes a deal with Narba. He agrees to pay Narba a certain amount every month and in return he promises to name his garden in his name after his death.  Realizing that he cannot match the Zamindaar in muscle or money power Narba accepts the proposition.  And the son of the Zamindaar is extremely happy for fulfilling the dream of his father.

Years pass by and the money of the Zamindaar keeps on vanishing. He keeps preying to the gods that one day Narba would die and he would become the owner of the land. But there is no sign. Finally he proposes Narba to take poison and end his life. Now it’s really a tough time for old Narba.

What happens next? Does Narba take the poison? Does he end his life? Or as usual he becomes successful to defeat the biggest tyrant called ‘The death’?

This and many more questions would find their answers in a hilarious and thought provoking manner as the story of Narba and his fight against all odds unfolds!

Baat Bann Gayi music moves Sonu nigam to tears

Vibhu Agarwal's Baat Bann Gayi, directed by Shuja Ali and produced by Sayed Asif Jah and Megha Agarwal, took place at Hard Rock Cafe, Andheri.

Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher, Lesle Lewis, Inder Kumar, Salim, Javed Ali, Mudasir Ali, Roopkumar Rathod, Kuldeep Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Sardar Ali and a host of others  stood hand in hand with composer Harpreet Singh for the release.

Other than the cast including Ali Fazal, Gulsan Grover, Anisa, Amrita Raichand, Razzak Khan and Akshay Singh, director Shuja Ali, presenter Vibhu Agarwal, producers Sayed Asif Jah and Megha Agarwal, a host of Bollywood celebs including actor Inder Kumar, and IMPAA President TP Agarwal thronged to be part of the festivities.

Talking about the film, Baat Bann Gayi is a romantic comedy enriched with the classical plot of ‘duals’, which depicts the comedy of errors when look alike of characters encounter each other. Unexpected, hilarious situations arise because of mistaken identity.  

Said Sonu Nigam, "as a singer, you sing many songs, but this song of Baat Bann Gayi brought tears to my eyes."

Added Gulshan Grover, "there is something beautiful about the film and the energy of director Shuja Ali is contagious." Amrita Raichand agreed that "it had caught on to all of us."

An emotional Vibhu Agarwal talked about how he started off small in Lucknow and grew to become the steel magnate he is today and that Bollywood was the next step in the right direction.

IMPAA President TP Agarwal, whose Capital Films is distributing Baat Bann Gayi  who was moved by Vibhu Agarwal's words, expressed his support in making Baat Bann Gayi a success. Kailash Kher added that more such differential entrepreneurs will make Bollywood only stronger. 

Sonu Nigam, Javed Ali and Sardar Ali's voice resonated the hall. And the sound of music was simply soul-stirring.

But the best compliment young composer Harpreet probably received was when his father, veteran composer Kuldeep Singh said honestly, "I like the song more now. It is good," as he watched the video. Harpreet, not minding the audiences, sought his father's blessings by touching his feet.

These precisely are the values that Baat Bann Gayi brings about as well.
