A Sooper se Ooper launch

Jigsaw Pictures into feature films
Having produced over 150 television commercials, music videos and even a critically acclaimed short film, The Fall (starring Rahul Bose), production house Jigsaw Pictures now looks forward to releasing their first commercial feature film Sooper Se Ooper. This quirky drama with Vir Das in lead has been co produced with Reliance Entertainment & is scheduled to come to theatres across India on 25 October, 2013.
CEO & Creative Producer of Jigsaw Pictures, Rajnish Lall has had over 9 years of experience in advertising, having worked in Clarion, Contract & Bates and thereafter headed the marketing division at B4U shortly after. He then founded Jigsaw Pictures about 8 years ago & will debut as a Creative Producer and the Line Producer of Sooper se Ooper. He is among a few who is comfortably straddling the productions both in the TV commercials & feature films.
On his first production, Rajnish Lall – Creative Producer, Jigsaw Pictures said, “Working on this film was like taking a fresh guard in the field of production... it has been an amazing, exciting & rich experience in the last 2 years. From fine tuning the script, putting together the right cast & technical team of my choice, the extensive shoot in Rajasthan & Mumbai to production of lovely songs all within a modest budget has been a Sooper se Ooper experience! In this journey we had the support & guidance of a big studio like Reliance Entertainment.”
The movie Sooper se Ooper is based on an Indian superstition ' that making a will (legal document) is an indication that that your time has come near'. The story revolves around the character of Vir Das, whose fortune has dwindled and selling his ancestral property may just be the way out of the situation but he runs into a problem as the ancestral land was not will-ed to him by his parents. Filmed in brilliant Rajasthan and gritty Mumbai, the story takes an interesting and entertaining turn during the journey from village to city and vice-versa.
The film stars Vir Das, Gulshan Grover, Deepak Dobriyal, Kirti Kulhari & Yashpal Sharma, among others. The music has been composed by Sonu Niigam & Bickram Ghosh who debut as a music duo in Hindi films & has quirky fusion BGM from Ranjit Barot. The director, a veteran of TV commercials also makes his debut with this film. The film is being presented by Reliance Entertainment & produced by Jigsaw Pictures.
Jigsaw Pictures’ next feature production is a comic thriller set in Mumbai & Kerala, which they will start shooting in April 2014.

Hot-blooded model Asif Azim the Wild Card entry in Bigg Boss 7

It was just a day ago when Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar said that Bigg Boss 7 “needs a hot-blooded model from the world of fashion. A new debonair with a chiseled physique! Like a Bandra-boy with mixed ethnic origins.”
And here we have him today! Hot-blooded debonair model Asif Azim should soon be the Wild Card entry in Bigg Boss 7. And yes, Asif does have a chiseled physique. He is also a Bandra-boy and even has mixed ethnic origins.
Makes us wonder whether Dale Bhagwagar is a Bigg Boss specialist or a Bigg Boss mystic who can predict the future. Lol.
The publicist has handled the media for Shilpa Shetty during Big Brother and publicity for some of the most controversial Bigg Boss contestants like Rakhi Sawant, Kashmera Shah, Sambhavna Seth, Sherlyn Chopra, Pooja Misrra, Diana Hayden, Shamita Shetty, Ashmit Patel, Vindu Dara Singh, Zulfi Syed, Salil Ankola, Amar Upadhyay and Anita Advani.
When we asked him for all the secrets he may know about Bigg Boss and the people associated with it, he laughed and remarked, “If a good publicist opens his mouth, much can tumble. But a good publicist never crosses the line.” For the record, Dale was himself invited as a contestant for BB7, but chose not to take it up.

India's gets its first martial arts comedy Local Kung Fu

Jackie Chan once explored comedy within the action genre and won the hearts of millions. Now India is attempting a similar feat, starting off with a humble beginning.
This week, the country will get its first own full-blown ‘martial arts comedy’ in the form of Kenny Basumatary’s Assamese feature film Local Kung Fu which boasts of some fabulously choreographed action sequences amidst rip-roaring humour.
What’s more! This is one of the most inexpensive action films ever made, with a budget less than a lakh of rupees! The film’s team neither had a great budget nor the need to use trickery-like wires etc to execute their fights. All the fighters of Local Kung Fu are genuine martial artists who’ve trained for several years.
Kenny Basumatary has not only written and directed the film, but also plays the main protagonist along with other cast comprising Utkal Hazowary, Sangeeta Nair, Bonny Deori, Bibhash Sinha, Ronnie Deori, Johny Deori and AS Deori.
Come September 27 and Local Kung Fu will release in seven prominent cities in the country with English subtitles for audiences outside Assam. The film will be screened by PVR in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Chennai, apart from an independent release in Assam.
