According to a survey, Only 40 people out of 100
votes and rest 60 people don’t due to any reason. And, because of this
deteriorating ratio, all 100 people suffer of “bad government” (which we
generally talks). So, with the motive to aware people with the tagline “Voting
is not our right, It’s our responsibility”, The District Election Office, North
has organized a musical function at Dilli Haat in Pitampura.
The aim and
objective of the musical function was to motivate the voters to vote and
perform their duty sincerely. On the occasion the newly wedded couple, singer Shibani Kashyap with her husband Rajeev Roda, was present, who even anchored the show but Shibani charmed the show with her
melodious voice. Then, Shibani gave
a message to the people that, “Please don’t take voting as only one of
your rights but perform sincerely as responsibility, I never forget to vote, and I take
voting as my duty”.
The way we
celebrate 15th august and 26th January, we must
take our time out on the day of voting. It is not only a way of selecting a
government but we should understand that we (the Indian People) are forming a
responsible and accountable government, who will represent us. The whole program
was conducted to create voter's awareness with tagline, “Voting is not our Right, It’s our Responsibility”.
On the occasion, District magistrate &
Assistant District Magistrate of North Delhi, Ashish More & Shamim
Akhtar were also present with IAS Harleen Kaur and witnessed the event.
With the power packed performance, Shibani rocked the stage and forced the audience to groove on her songs.
