Tigmanshu Dhulia’s love for shooting at historic places!!

 

                                    Shoots at the iconic Kakori Railway Tracks for Bullett Raja!!

Tigmanshu Dhulia is one of the most acclaimed Directors of our country. His style of film making and portrayal of unexplored genres of cinema is commendable. Right from being a closely knit film to leaving no loose ends in any part, he does everything just right!!

For his upcoming action drama Bullett Raja, Tigmanshu Dhulia has shot in various parts of Uttar Pradesh and Kolkata. 

We hear that the director loves shooting at historical places, but has never been able to make such a place a part of his story. But with Bullett Raja, he worked around a sequence with symbolic references to the freedom struggle in India.

A major sequence of the film has been shot at Kakori. Kakori is the same place the major robbery in the Indian History occurred which was led by late Chandrashekhar Azad against the British Rule.

Tigmanshu Dhulia always wanted to shoot at Kakori and he made the most of it with his film Bullett Raja, as the subject suits it!

What we hear is that the action sequence in Kakori which went on for 3 days was one of the most difficult and challenging sequences of the film. 

A source close to the team said, ‘Kakori train by pass is a beautiful location to shoot as it is not densely populated.  We did extensive recce to make a note of the train arriving pattern. The crew used to be informed 15 minutes in advance, to avoid any kind of damage or causality. The safety measures taken to shoot this part were abundant to avoid any kind of mishaps. This place is not much known in the film industry.

'Bullett Raja got itself associated with history by shooting at Kakori crossing. I have always been a student of history and really enjoy shooting at places with great historical value,'said an elated Tigmanshu Dhulia

Well, with that we can say Tigmanshu Dhulia takes his film down in history, doesn't he?

Releasing on 29^th November, Bullett Raja is premised on fictional mafia based in Uttar Pradesh starring Saif Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Jimmy Shergill, Vidyut Jamwal, Gulshan Grover, Raj Babbar and Chunky Pandey.

Sonakshi Sinha struggles to get into Bollywood!!

Bollywood is a world full of glamour and glitz. Hundreds of people from all over India come to Mumbai daily, to try their chance in Bollywood. It is not amusing to see such people wandering in our city.

These characters have quite an influence on Bollywood too. Right from actors playing strugglers, to an entire film about the life of aspiring actors, audiences have seen it all. Another addition to this list is Sonakshi Sinha. This gorgeous actress will be seen playing an aspiring actress in her next film Bullett Raja.

Sonakshi’s character is of a Bengali girl, who wishes to come to Mumbai to live her acting dream. She plays a very bubbly and full of life character, who is awed and charmed by the mere presence of Bollywood. She would give up anything to be a part of the glittery world.

“Sonakshi plays an aspiring actress. Sonakshi portrays a girl who has run away from her home in Kolkata to become a Bollywood actress. Her character wants to act in films so desperately, that she becomes willing to act in regional cinema too.”, said a source close to the production team

Well, with stars getting into the shoes of these strugglers, we are sure Mumbai is soon going to be even more flooded with these aspires.

Humshakals shot at famous London MI6 Building!!

 

The biggest comedy entertainer of the year, Humshakals, by the multi talented director, Saijd Khan, is now taking Bollywood to another level!

Starring Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor for the first time in triple roles, the film promises to be a laugh riot, as the trio unleashes total madness and confusion in their triple avatars!

Having shot the movie extensively abroad, Sajid promises to discover some never seen locations through the movie. The audiences have always known Sajid Khan for doing something unique and out-of-the-box for his films. This time with Humshakals, the fans not only get to see triple role for the first time, but also some one-of-its-kind locations where Bollywood has never shot before.

What we hear is that, the team that has been currently shooting in London for the movie, has got special permission to shoot in the MI6 building which is located in the south western part of central London, on the bank of the River Thames.

Normally one cannot shoot at the iconic site, but we hear that Sajid with the help of his resources, got permission to shoot for a day!

A source from the production team says,” The MI6 building is an iconic building and hence because of the security reasons they do not let anyone enter the building. Being very fascinated towards the building, Sajid was keen to shoot in this building for one of the sequences. Hence using his special resources and contacts he arranged the shoot for 1 day into the building!”

And this is not it, what we also hear is on that particular day of shooting the lift of the building was under maintenance, and hence the cast and crew had to climb up 14 floors!

“It was funny to see Esha, Bipasha and Tamanna climb up the 14 floors with their heels in the hand!” adds the source.

Looks like not only the plot of the movie, but also the locations are promising making Humshakals one the most awaited movie of 2014!

Madhur Bhandarkar meets up with the legendary Mrinal Sen

National Award winning Bollywood film maker, Madhur Bhandarkar got the chance to meet up with the renowned Bengali Director Mrinal Sen during his recent visit to Kolkata. The director who is himself known for his gritty and realistic films as a rule has never missed any opportunity to interact with legendary people like Mr.Sen and as such did not want to lose out on a chance to rub shoulders with the celebrated film maker while in Kolkata. As a matter of fact, he even considers Mrinal Sen as one of his all time favourite directors in Indian Cinema and believes that it was his good fortune that he got to rendezvous with the illustrious film maker. It was indeed a momentous occasion when the two flag-bearers of parallel cinema albeit belonging to different generations got together to share their experiences for quite some time.
