Nehru Centre ‘s Bal-Disha promotes young talent

 

The non-profit institution, Nehru Centre Mumbai is going all out to promote young talent from across the country as it hosts a unique art exhibition “Bal-Disha” from the 12^th to the 17^th November,2013 displaying works of 4 gifted child artists - 12 year old,Vedika Kanchan, Ishita Limbekar (6), Tiyana Kapadia(9) and Maria Mirza(14).This makes it the 21st year that the Nehru Centre is exhibiting children’s works chosen for their unique abilities and creations.

Says Nina Rege,Assistant Director, “This is the 21st year of Bal-Disha at the Nehru Centre and it has always been an enriching experience. Our aim has always been to support and promote art and creativity and I look forward to the exhibition and several others to follow”.

There to support everyone in their endeavor, Karishma Kapoor plays guest for the evening as she makes a special appearance to encourage  the young painters as well as Sunita Menon and Guest of Honor Vladimir Kuskovski - principal of Oberoi International. 

Says Karisma Kapoor, “I strongly believe in nurturing and encouraging young talent and couldn't be more excited to see the displays at this unique art exhibition.”*.

All of 12,Vedika Kanchan, a student of Oberoi International School has over 30 awards in the last 5 years, having participated in competitions both on the national level and overseas. With a series of paintings under Mosiac, the young artist will display seventeen artworks which include relief printing, acrylic on canvas and water color on paper,all reflective of nature.This would also be the second time the Nehru Centre has chosen to display the young talent’s work.

Adds Vladimir Kuskovski,Principal ,Oberoi International School, “I am delighted to visit Nehru centre and see the paintings done by these  young and very talented and gifted artists. Vedika's series Mosaic  portrays an evolved and remarkable journey done, recording her artistic exploration with unique dimension”.

Karishma Kapoor in an endeavor to encourage Vedika will also purchase paintings from the Mosiac collection, proceeds of which will go towards the iLeap Foundation.Established by Sunita Menon and Noopur Kanchan, the iLeap Foundation looks to provide medical treatment to the needy.

Says Sunita Menon, “Vedika is a gifted girl and its appropriate that her show is called Mosaic..its her attempt to capture the different hues and colors of life”.

“Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela” Press Release

FYI, sharing below the press statement issued to media regarding the protests around the film  
The forthcoming Hindi cinematograph film “Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela” (“said Film”) has been censored by the Central Board of the Film Certification under the Cinematograph Act, 1952 and granted UA Certificate on 01.11.2013. The said Film is slated for release throughout the World including India on 15th November 2013.  
It appears that some misinformation is being carried out regarding the said Film which we would like to clarify and state that the said Film is inspired and based on work of William Shakespeare “Romeo and Juliet’. The said Film is neither related to “Ramleela” folklore/traditional performance associated with Lord Ram nor related to “Rasleela” associated with Lord Krishna. Ram the character in the said Film does not depict or resemble LORD SHRI RAM in any manner.  
The said Film neither intends nor attempts to insult, wound or outrage the religion, religious feelings or religious beliefs of any class of citizens of India.  
We trust that this allays, clarifies and sets at rest all apprehensions, doubts and misgivings regarding the said Film.

KANGANA RANAUT PAID A HOLY VISIT AT AJMER SHARIF DARGA TO TAKE BLESSINGS FOR HER FILM RAJJO

 

Actress Kangana Ranaut visit the dargah of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti ,Ajmer along with Director Vishwas Patil, to seek blessings for her forthcoming film Rajjo  on Tuesday.

Rajjo is produced by Four Pillar Films starring Kangana Ranaut, Paras Arora, Prakash Raj & Mahesh Manjrekar and set to release on 15^th November 2013.

Ram and Sakshi pampers onscreen kids

 

Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar are off late are busy in pampering their on screen children with some special gifts.  Ram Kapoor of Bade Achche Lagtey Hai has often been seen pampering his kids on the show and now we hear, he is no different off-screen. A source from the sets says, ‘’Ram was recently in London. When he returned to the sets he brought a lot of chocolates and other gifts for the kids on the show. The children of course were delighted and it was like one big party with everyone unwrapping their gifts and bingeing on chocolates’’.

Priya aka Sakshi Tanwar also couldn’t stop bestowing her love, it is known that on the occasion of Diwali, Sakshi had made homemade sweets for the whole cast and crew.

Well it seems this Jodi knows how to make their family happy on screen and off screen too.
