Actor Sachiin J Joshi on Jackpot

Actor-entrepreneur Sachiin J Joshi is now back with his third film, Jackpot The Full Jhol. An exciting comic thriller set in Goa, the film helmed by Kaizad Gustad, will see Sachiin share screenspace with Naseeruddin Shah and Sunny Leone. Interestingly, Sachiin who had taken Sunny as the brand ambassador for his energy drink XXX, has cast her in a challenging role in the film that promises to showcase Sunny’s histrionics as much as her glamour quotient if not more.
We catch up with the actor who has managed to get that perfect V shaped hot bod by spending his leisure at the gym, working out rigorously between shoots and helming his company Viiking Ventures. Though almost on a 24/7 work schedule for two months, juggling between entrepreneurship and histrionics, Sachiin is energy personified.

Excerpts from a tete-a-tete with the man of the moment, Sachiin J Joshi… 
1: You're doing the film Jackpot. In your last film, Mumbai Mirror, your character was very different to your role in this film. How would you describe your role in this movie?

Yes, with every film, you learn and grow as an actor. And each film uncovers newer shades. In Jackpot, play Francis, a very smart yet simple man, who wears his heart on his sleeve. Yet, there is much more to his persona than what meets the eye. I loved the narration of Kaizad Gustad. He is known for his stylisation of characters and this film was a thriller with its own quirky comic moments. You will love Francis for his earthiness and his street-smart attitude.
2: You're working with Naseeruddin Shah in this movie. How does it feel to work with an established and critically acclaimed actor like him?
It is a honour to share screenspace with  Naseer ji. It also goads you to work harder as you have to match scenes and wits with him in Jackpot. He has an amazing sense of humour. And he is an institution. You learn so much… Each of us in the film have a style, a character and a journey. We pit wits against one another and it is a con-game that just begins when you think it ends… it isn’t easy pitting wits with Naseer saab. You have to work really hard to try and measure up to him on camera as you look up to him off camera in each frame. And in this challenge lies the fun.
3: Your wife, Raina, is a former model and actor. Do you two discuss your future projects?
My wife Raina is my backbone. She is my producer. It is due to her and my team that I can afford to be just an actor on the sets without production hassles. She is a wonderful person and when one is at peace, the world is beautiful.
4: Would we ever see you two share screen space together?
Not immediately no. But sometime may be. 

5: You recently celebrated your birthday. What was the best part of that celebration?
Birthday is a day when wishes keep pouring in. And every friend is like a bouquet adding fragrance to your life. The best part of the celebration was the cake my wife wrote for me. Literally. It was a letter inscribed on a cake. It was the best gift to me from a woman who is my gift from God.

PAOLI DAM’S NEXT FILM ON THE EXPLOITATION OF THE YOUNG IN GOA TITLED ‘BAGA BEACH’ TO BE SCREENED AT IFFI GOA on 26th November 2013
Dusky beauty Paoli Dam is playing a key role of a young bead seller in the film BAGA Beach set in one of the hottest tourist destination of Goa. BAGA BEACH is produced by Dr. Mrs. Pramod Salgaoncar of Sharvani Productions’ and directed by Laxmikant Shetgaonkarwill be screened at IFFI- Goa 2013.
Paoli Dam who was recently seen in “Hate Story” and “Ankur Arora Murder Case” will be seen playing a simple girls character in her next Bollywood film BAGA BEACH. Paoli plays a character of Shobha- the bead seller, who falls for the French tourist, and what happens next affects the life of Shobha and people around her. Her love story becomes one of the most prominent parts of the film; which reflects how tourists affect the life of goan people.
On asking Paoli Dam about her experience she comments, “It is the concept that drew me to the film BAGA BEACH” I thought it was a film long due. I love Goa and have been a frequent visitor but never understood the other side of life that existed there. It shook me totally and wanted to do my bit create awareness about the pedophiles who are infusing dirt into this paradise called Baga Beach.
On her casting Paoli Dam as Shobha the producer Dr. Mrs Pramod Salgaocar says, “I wanted someone who could show a lot of inner strength of character which Shobha in the film has. I did see a few of Paoli Dam’s Bengali films and her versatility appealed me. We could see our Sobha in her instantly”.
The film BAGA BEACH is a camouflage in motion, exploring struggles of people living on the coastal belt of Goa. In a State where the number of tourists in a season is more than three times the population and where tourism is promoted indiscriminately for the revenue it generates the lives of people are bound to get impacted in more ways than one can imagine.

After the eviction of the naked yoga trainer Vivek Mishra, the Bigg Boss house ,the one who benefitted from the same is Candy brar ,who has come in the limelight after vivek took her name,Instead of being thankful ,she is finding flimsy resons to garner publicity . One of them being Candy Brar alleges that she threw out vivek from  sunburn party ,which is so untrue says vivek mishra "i had four passes of show man lounge ,the passes were given to me by their office itself,and why i need to gate crash ?when  she looked at me and got so uncomfortable that she had the guts to spoil her own company's event and create a scene ,when the staff appraoched i showed passes ,they moved away Candy still didnt rest she sent another team saying this exclusive Area wheas the passes i had were of the exclusive area ,but i ignored and moved to a  different area she didnt settle down ,her restlessness was apparent with the she behaved ,if i wanted i could have taught her a lesson but i believe in dignity so ignored but she is so publiicty savy that she went ahead and did a media release and then i decided she doesnt deserve my ignorance but a lesson .
Apparently Candy Brar in one of her interviews before her entry mentioned of choking Vivek Mishra to which the latter laughs of, he mentions, “If it wasn’t for me, Candy Brar would not have been approached by the Bigg Boss house. Isn’t it obvious that Candy (Read as: - Kushal’s ex flame) has been roped by the channel at the time when Kushal & Guahar’s proximity is the hot topic of discussion amongst the housemates & on social networking sites. She must consider thanking me instead of choking me.”
