SPICE WORLD MALL NOIDA HOSTS THE PRESS CONFERENCE FOR THE FILM “JACKPOT”

 

Spice World Mall, Noida organized a press conference of the film “Jackpot”. It is a comedy thriller film directed by Kaizad Gustad & Produced by Raina Sachin Joshi. Jackpot is a fast-paced rollercoaster comedy thriller full jhol film, set in the world of casino boats and gambling Goa. It is a production venture of Viking Media & Entertainment Pvt Ltd, The film features Naseeruddin Shah, Sunny Leone & Sachin Joshi in the lead and will release on 13^th December, 2013. Sunny Leone, Sachin Joshi & Director Kaizad Gustad interacted with media at the gold class lounge at Spice World Mall in Noida today.

‘Jackpot is a fast-paced thriller con, with sharp comic one-liners and crazy characters, set entirely in Goa against the backdrop of casino boats. The film goes back and forth in time, capturing one Goan monsoon of Full Jhol. It's a card game between the players in the con. Who will come out Aces and who will end up being the Joker? An amateur gang of young Goans plan the perfect con - no nuksaan, no pareshan. However, all good plans often...

It doesn't take long for them to discover that a reverse con has been played back on them - by the very people they were trying to con. 
In doing so, the five members of the gang split and start suspecting each other. After all, when there is cash in a briefcase, and a beautiful woman with a gun, things tend to go horribly wrong.

The world of the lazy Goa backwaters is pitted against the world of the non-stop Goa casinos, where night can be day.

Neeraj Pandey turns author with debut novel ‘Ghalib Danger’

 

Neeraj Pandey, one of India’s finest contemporary filmmakers, today launched his debut novel “Ghalib Danger” at an event that was attended by the stars of his cinematic ventures.  After entertaining Indians all over the world with memorable and much-loved films like ‘A Wednesday’ and ‘Special 26’, the critically acclaimed director, who is no stranger to thrillers has further explored the genre with his first book.

A fictional gangster saga set in the visually eclectic Mumbai underworld, “Ghalib Danger” makes Neeraj one of the rare Bollywood directors who have also authored novels. “Ghalib Danger” revolves around the life of its main protagonist Kamran Ali. A young taxi driver by profession, Kamran stays in Mumbai and dreams of making it big someday. However a twist of fate awaited him as on an eventful day his life transforms when he saves the life of a notorious underworld don from called Mirza. As an act of gratitude, Mirza takes Kamran under his tutelage.

Speaking of his book, the celebrated film writer-director and now author says, ‘Writing has always been a passion and when the story of Kamran and his world took shape in my mind, I knew that only a book would do full justice to it. It’s a story of destinies that collide and shape the world of our characters’.

The launch of Neeraj’s first book was also a special occasion for some of his favourite stars to come and cheer in support. While Anupam Kher, who credits Neeraj’s as giving him two out of his top 10 roles in the form of A Wednesday and Special 26, read out a chapter from the book to a live audience, Naseeruddin Shah penned the leading quote. Manoj Bajpayee not only joined the gathering but also lent his voice to the motion poster of the book as he read out couplets from Ghalib’s work. Divyaa Dutta dropped by to wish Neeraj good luck as well.

Powerful Pink! Kavita Raha of "Pink Platform" spearheaded panel discussion on "Domestic abuse & battered women "along with Bhagyashree, Nazneen, Sheeba & other members of the Pink Platform

Kavita Raha, founder of Pink Platform hosted the panel discussion on ‘Domestic abuse & battered women’ pompously on board of Voyager – Seven Seas with the woman achievers!

Announcement followed discussion of the prevalent issues affecting women of our country talking about domestic & sexual abuse

Pink Platform, an online community…the website designed to gather women from different walks of life onto a single forum where they can express themselves freely, discuss issues that matter and share their experiences, in turn helping enrich the lives of other women.

Kavita spearheaded the discussion and Bhagyashree, Sheeba, Amy Billimoria and Nazneen (Actor Ranjeet's wife) actively participated. 

Explaining the mantra of Pink Platform, founder Kavita Raha mentions, “Our mantra is 'Let start small, but start'... We are forming a 'circle of trust', so for those who are interested in contributing and starting small giving projects can register at the Pink Platform online portal. The Pink Platform network covers a vast array of topics that would be relevant for women all over the world, in different age groups, and includes subjects such as parenting, healthcare, and domestic issues to beauty, entertainment, personal finance, food and travel, to name just a few.”

The colors are a beautiful blend of gold and rose emphasizing the strong self and the little girl that always lives in a woman's heart!

Crime Patrol to depict an episode on the case of forged marriages

Sony Entertainment Television’s popular reality-based crime show Crime Patrol has always made a point to create awareness amongst the masses by depicting real-life crime stories. The upcoming episode will depict the story of Meenaz, a poor girl from a small town in Kerala who was forcibly married off to an Indian man based in the Middle East. She was forcibly asked to marry the man was rich. The episode will awaken the viewers by this story on how a brave girl who will protest again this child marriage and exploitation against her and how she will fight for her rights.
