Kamasutra 3D in OSCARS

 

Rupesh Paul's Kamasutra 3D makes a proud entry at the prestigious contention list of the 86th Academy Awards, with selection in the three categories – Best Motion Picture, Original Score and Original Song with 5 songs. It is the only movie from India contending in the music category lists. The results were announced on December 16, 2013 by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences on its official website:

Presented by Dr. George John (GJ Entertainments) and produced under the house of Rupesh Paul Productions Ltd. (RPPL), in co-production and project design by Sohan Roy, Kamasutra 3D is the only movie with 5 songs after The Great Gatsby to be selected in the Original Song category. The songs include - AygiriNandini, Saawariya, I Felt, Of Soil and HarHarMahadeva – composed by Chennai based music directors, Sachin&Sreejith while its lyrics are penned by Rupesh Paul and PratyushPrakash. Also scripted and penned by Rupesh Paul, the movie is set in the backdrop of the real historical milieu portraying the journey of a soulful love embodied with betrayal and war. It weaves the transformative changes in body, mind and soul by the forbidden world of sexual love and sensuality.

Recently, with the release of its work-in-progress trailer, Kamasutra 3D critically came out to be more of a Hollywood war based epic movie than a classic erotica, it hyped to be with the sensuous Sherlyn Chopra, initially. Director Rupesh Paul however confirmed that though the trailer portrays a mismated story now, he would not disappoint his viewers expecting the movie to be a classic erotica. Speaking on the Oscar entry, he stated, “Probably now we have an answer for all of them who claimed the movie to be a soft porn. Hopefully, they know that soft porns are not eligible for the Academy Award nominations”. He also claimed that he would like to genre his movie as musical than epic or erotica as he assures that Kamasutra 3D is influenced with its melody over the drama.

After creating the best of pre sale records at the Cannes Film Festival 2013 and the American Film Market 2013 with its sale in most of the territories, Kamasutra 3D is all hopeful to make it in the final nominations of the categories in the 86^thAcademy Awards to be announced on January 16, 2014 in the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater.

Kamasutra 3D has been slated for a May 23, 2014 release after its premiere.

Hasee Toh Phasee leads Sidharth Malhotra & Parineeti Chopra not allowed to meet prior to the shoot.

While audiences are raving about the trailer of Dharma Productions & Phantom Films' Hasee Toh Phasee,directed by Vinil Matthew,and the chemistry between the film's leads ,very few know that Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra were asked not to interact with eachother prior to the shoot of the film in order to keep their chemistry intact.

Talking about this exercise says director Vinil Matthew, "There is a certain kind of tension that you experience when you are not familiar with a person and I wanted that kind of chemistry in my film. Since Sidharth and Parineeti haven't interacted much, I wanted to keep that slight tension intact and also wanted them to get to know eachother only during the course of the shooting."

The advertising veteran who makes his directorial debut with the cucking frazy film also conducted separate workshops with Sidharth and Parineeti before the film went on floors.

"I did separate workshops with them for 3 weeks - I decided to do them separately as I didn't want to ruin the kind of chemistry I wanted them to share on the film.” adds Matthew.

Girish Kumar's Jeene Laga Hoon from Ramaiya Vastavaiya is India's Top Trending Music Video !

 

 The melodious "Jeene Laga Hoon" from Tips Films, Ramaiya Vastavaiya directed by Prabhu Dheva starring Girish Kumar & Shruti Haasan, has been named this year’s most trending music video in the country by YouTube!

The romantic track composed by Sachin Jigar, lyrics by Priya Panchal, sung by Atif Aslam and Shreya Goshal, was a major hit with the es ever since its launch, 5 months later the song continues to trend on the popular video viewing site with  15.8 million views ,making it to the top of the list.

In trending Jeene Laga Hoon was followed by Rang Jo Lagyo & Jadoo Ki Jhappi other  songs from Ramaiya Vastavaiya, 

Says producer Kumar Taurani, "We are extremely pleased with the response that the song has got from the audiences and it is a matter of pride for us to know that the song has been declared this year's most trending music video in India.”

DJ Sheizwood records first song dedicated to Mumbai MMC sung by Sanchiti

DJ Sheizwood is known for remix songs but this time he has made a great song for Mumbai and BMC.He met Sanchiti Sakat whose father Raju Sakat works as license officer in BMC.Sheizwood loved her voice and decided to record a song which tell the story of Mumbai.He got the lyrics from well known lyricist Sudhakar Sharma who has written more than 2,000 songs till now.The recording was kept at Meet Brothers where they shot the video also.Raju Sakat told us that the song will be tribute to BMC and people of Mumbai where every festival is celebrated with full enthusiasm.
