After a stunning start on Friday, DHOOM:3 continues to storm both the Indian and Overseas Box Office!

Dhoom:3 maintained the momentum and the fans can't seem to get enough of this caper. It has set new weekend records in every International market as well as on the home turf, where it's on course to be the biggest hit.

In India, Dhoom:3’s Net Box Office Collection stands at a stupendous weekend total of Rs.107.61 Cr, breaking all previous records!

Internationally, in the Top 5 territories, Dhoom:3 has made:

USA /Canada   US $ 3,435,000      (Highest opening ever – beating the previous 4 day record by $1 million)

UAE / GCC      US $ 2,801,000      (The film did not release on Thursday as is the norm in the Middle East, but still managed to beat

 YRF's own previous record by $500,000)

UK                 US $ 1,451,000      (Highest non festival/holiday opening ever on a 3 day weekend)

Australia         US $ 765,360         (Highest opening ever for any film)

Dhoom:3 managed a Dhoombastic screen average in every country setting a new benchmark globally.

Internationally Dhoom:3 cleared $10.17 million (Rs.61 Cr) on the opening weekend making it the biggest opening weekend EVER for any Bollywood film making the total Worldwide BO $28.11 million (Rs.168.63 Cr).

International territories opening up in the coming days:

YRF’s decision of not releasing the film with pre-views on Thursday to keep the plot under wraps and open on the same day worldwide, strategically worked at the Box Office.

MUNNA BHAI SALLU BHAI MAKERS ORGANISE A SPECIAL PARTY FOR HIS FAN ON SALMAN KHAN'S BIRTHDAY

Writer turned Film Maker Muazzam Beg whose latest venture Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai dedicated to the so called “Bad Boys” of Hindi Cinema (Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan) has grandiose plans for Superstar Salman Khan’s birthday which falls on December 27^th the powerful romantic drama, Rockstar writer Muazzam (2011) had earlier announced his latest venture, Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai on Superstar Sanjay Dutt’s birthday and therefore wanted to ensure that Salman’s birthday is also made equally memorable. To this effect, the director and his star cast have arranged for a grand event on that date. This includes inviting all the die-hard fans of Salman Khan to Gaiety Galaxy Cinema in Bandra West for a grand cake cutting ceremony to celebrate Salman Khan’s birthday.

Muazzam Says- “We went to celebrate the day with the actor’s die- hard fans and also take the opportunity to unveil the first look of your film.” On this occasion, he also plans to launch the first poster of his film, Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai. The Director further plans to share with the media the Birthday Wishes Message Card for Salman Khan which has been written and sent by his die-hard fans all the way from Jaipur. Apparently during the shooting of the movie in Ajmer, some devoted fans of Salman Khan requested the Director to pass on their birthday wishes to their favourite star on his birthday. Acceding to their request, Director Beg hopes to pass on the Birthday Card of these Ajmer fans to Salman Khan at his home on his birthday. .“When we started shooting in Ajmer, people on sets would ask me if we would also celebrate Salman’s birthday. I said yes and here we are, all geared up for it on the eve of December 27,” says Beg.

Produced by Hindustan light and Sound Movie Services and written and directed by Muazzam Beg, Munna Bhai, Sallu Bhai is an attempt to portray the humane side of these two actors and will find resonance with many die-hard fans of Bollywood Stars. The film stars debutant actors Shresth Kumar, Zuber Kamal Khan and Anjali Arora in key roles and is slated to release in 2014.

Saakshi Tanwar to present Main Naa Bhoolungi!

Sony Entertainment Television’s upcoming thriller drama, Main Na Bhoolungi has already created a lot of buzz amongst the viewers. Considering its fresh and unique concept, the promos have grabbed allot of attention not only from the audience. Sakshi Tanwar, better known as Priya from Bade Acche Lagte Hai will be seen presenting the first episode of this show. Sakshi has managed to make time to shoot for Main Na Bhoolungi from her busy schedule, the reason being the distinctive story line. She was very impressed by the concept and is pleased to kick start the show as a narrator. Nonetheless, whether she will be seen in the rest of the episodes is yet to be decided.

 

IIFA ANNOUNCES DATES FOR CELEBRATIONS IN TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA

The IIFA Weekend & Awards to take place from the 24^th to the 26^th of April, 2014

Earlier this year the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) announced that fans of Indian Cinema could expect the 15^th Annual IIFA celebrations to make its American premiere in Tampa Bay, Florida. The institution has now announced the much awaited official dates for the mega-weekend that is all set to take place from the 24^th – 26^th of April.

Having travelled to some phenomenal destinations across the globe over the last 14 years, IIFA has graced the shores of the UK, Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Canada. IIFA will now make its first foray into the United States of America where fans and enthusiasts of Indian Cinema from around the world can expect to see their favorite stars descend into Tampa Bay during the weekend and witness Indian Cinema's most glorious event unfold in the city. With world-class infrastructure and facilities and having hosted a myriad of international concerts, events and the Super Bowl four times, Tampa Bay is the ideal choice for the 15th IIFA Weekend & Awards.

Earlier this year, key delegates from Visit Tampa Bay, including Santiago Corrada (President and Chief Executive Officer of Visit Tampa Bay) travelled to Mumbai and New Delhi to forge crucial ties in India with IIFA before the big Weekend in April. Corrada and IIFA officials discussed a number of details ahead of IIFA’s American debut, anticipating all of the special arrangements that will need to be addressed to host India’s most celebrated dignitaries, business leaders and Bollywood’s A-list celebrities.
