Official trailer of Gulaab Gang, film by Anubhav Sinha to be launched by WIFT as a tribute to the women in film & television

Film centred around women, to have be launched by women from the film and television industry, worldwide.

Women in Film and Television (India)(WIFT),will launch the first trailer of Anubhav Sinha’s Gulaab Gang on their social media pages comprising of over 3000 fans. The trailer will launch at midnight, across the social networking pages of the film’s actors and Producer Anubhav Sinha as well. Inspired by true events, 'Gulaab Gang' talks about pink sari-clad women activists who protest against the social injustice in the Bundelkhand region of central India.

WIFT will also send out an emailer to all its WIFT India members requesting to put the first look of the movie Gulaab Gang as their status, on the 10th January, 2013 at 12.00 am IST. The international WIFTI will also do the same across 50 chapters globally.

WIFT is dedicated to providing a dynamic global platform to facilitate exchange of ideas, accelerate professional development and recognize the achievement of women in film, television and other screen-based media. As the film, Gulaab Gang is said to be a tribute to all the women in the country, WIFT aims to pay a tribute to all the women in the entertainment industry—a time when women are spearheading every aspect of entertainment.

Anubhav Sinha, Producer of Gulaab Gang said, “I thought that allowing WIFT to release the trailer of Gulaab Gang would be apt as a tribute to the women in our industry who toil for cinematic and television perfection, daily here and across the world. The trailer is our token to them, appreciating their work.”

According to Petrina D’Rozario, Founder president, WIFT (India), “WIFT is so proud to launch the first trailer of Gulab Gang starring strong women in the lead which is a barometer to the rise in women centric movies.”

Produced by Anubhav Sinha and presented and co-produced by Sahara Movie Studios and Bharat Shah, Gulaab Gang is directed by first-time director, Soumik Sen. Starring Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Juhi Chawla, the two actresses will come together for the first time on-screen in a film that highlights women empowerment in rural India.

Gulaab Gang is slated for a March 7, 2014 release.

Mukta Arts KAANCHI starring Subhash Ghai’s new find Mishti and Kartik Aryan, along with an ensemble cast including two of the greatest acting legends of our times – Mithun Chakraborty and Rishi Kapoor of the Indian film industry, Rishabh Sinha and Chandan Roy Sanyal is all set to release on 11^th April 2014. 

Kaanchi is a story of the inner power of a woman who represents millions of suppressed youth against unjust in the country.

The film is directed and produced by Subhash Ghai under his banner Mukta Arts with the musical score done by Ismail Darbar and Salim Suleiman with Lyrics by Irshad Kamil.

All work and no play makes jack a dull boy! This saying is synonymous with the cast of Sony entertainment Television’s Bharat kaa Veer Putra…. Maharana Pratap as they have found a way to mix work with fun on their sets.
The current sequence on the show featuring the fierce battle between Mughals and Mewar is being shot at the borders of Gujarat and Mumbai and with the dipping temperature work has become difficult. But as they say, the show must go on!
The cast have found a very effective way to beat the chills and still have fun. During breaks the cast and crew light a bonfire to keep themselves warm and also have a bit of fun by singing and sharing stories around it.
